I've been reading a lot of those lately and I guess this one book always caught my interest I just never seemed to pick it up until recently. Anyone close to me knows that I just went through a major change in my life. I just got a divorce and a couple months ago was really down on my self esteem levels. I was raised growing up to believe in whatever we wanted to believe in. I never stepped foot into a church but yet I still had some sort of faith.
As a misunderstood teen I pretended to not believe in God but yet I found myself blaming him for so many bad things in my life that I later came to realize that If I can blame God then I believed in him. So I soon learned to love him and to accept the bad things as him making me a truly stronger person. So many things have happened in my life that I feel were for a purpose, I handled my divorce like a champ and have grown so much from it and I know I couldn't have done it if things from my past never had happened. I knew I was strong and only got stronger. this book helped someone like me feel calm in my decisions of life.
This story finally caught my attention after years of seeing it online or on tv then a motion picture!!. All of it happened without thought or purpose I just picked it up and checked out. I found the more I read the book the more calm I got about life. Colton shows us that after life there is so much much more.
Everyone has their questions and this book isn't about answering them. Its Coltons story of what he saw and the journey his family went through. Its not a life changing book but something that I believe will inspire many others to have more faith and trust in life and its many obstacles. I wouldn't force this book onto anyone but It was nice to read. No matter your beliefs it was a good book.
I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. Colton's father told his story very well so we all get this image of what heaven looks like and everything we've ever thought about. Really its just a amazing light read. I recommend it to everyone no matter their faith and religion. ...more
Danielle you have done it again! Seriously your books are amazing and this one is just as great! And boy the way the book begins is very hot and heavy. I was drawn in from the beginning and wanting more, the story is so connecting and real. Thats what Danielle's wirting does to you. I feel this connection to her characters from just a few pages into the book and man danielle did you start this one off with a BANG! :)
There wasn't much I disliked about this book, yes sometimes Mackenzie could seem selfish and upset not to have it her way but those are natural human feels we all have sometimes and it just makes the story that much more real. Brayden was there and continued to hold on to hope. Mackenzie is the one he loves, and was heart-broken when their love was torn apart.
The question is, are Mackenzie and Brayden willing to fight for Happiness and the hope for Love to be reunited? you will just have to pick this book up and read it for yourself.
I give this book a whopping 5 out of 5 stars!!! Danielle, your books will always leave me in tears and wanting more.... ...more

This is the first book of this genre that I have ever read and I find myself very pleased. It was recommended to me from a very close friend. And at first when I started this book I was bored and couldn't find myself getting interested in the book. As time went on though I found myself sitting there reading it for hours on end and soon had more than half the book finished.
I agreed to read the book for the subject matter. I was just a child when 9/11 happened and I can remember it like it was yesterday. What time it was, what classroom I was in at school, the images on the TV Screen. It was as if time just stopped, and then the day it was announced that Osama was caught and killed was a giant win for everyone.
I admit I was oblivious to what these people do for us. I was young and never put much thought into how I don't have to worry about much. Now that I am older I find I have a lot more respect and awareness to these things. I have bills and I get caught up in life's drama but after some thought I realize there are people out there risking lives or going through something so much more terrifying. Granted we all shouldn't stop our lives and enjoying things for this reason but to take a moment when everything in your life feels unbearable and crazy and think of what these men go through makes me stop and breathe.
The writing was okay, at moments I felt there was unnecessary details and left me dragging on to the next paragraph and at other moments during the missions I felt the flow of the book was perfect. I learned a lot from this book. I like learning about these men protecting our lives, how they are driven in protecting us and sacrificing their lives and family's. I've got to say Navy Seals kick ass. For anyone looking into reading something out of their norm...like fantasy, vampires, romance, ext...should pick up this book and try it out. Its not to much at once and its very interesting to read about something that effect all of our lives.
I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars. I loved the book but the writing could have been better. Its defiantly something everyone should try to read. It was very interesting and pulls you into the world with the Navy Seals, How they live, how they think and do things....more
I am completely sad to be here writing this review for this book...I love Heart Waves and I am always so sad to see a book trilogy end but especially this one. Danielle contacted me 1 year ago to read her Heart Waves novel and do a review for my blog. I had no idea where that adventure would take me. I fell in love with Jenna, Reece, and Tyler in the process and with Danielle. She has been a amazing person in this whole thing and a great friend. I want to say this before I start my review...Danielle your books have touched my life and I am honored to be a part of all this, You have also inspired me to write and hopefully I will one day inspire someone else to write....to be able to touch someone with the words you put onto a page is amazing so I would like to say Thank You.
Now to go on...This book was hard for me to read, I knew a decision was coming. Jenna was still in love with Reece (supposedly dead) but Tyler made her complete again and they made each other better as a whole...would she stay with Tyler or would the pull she feels for Reece break them apart??
Its hard to explain much about this book without giving it away since its the last book, all I can really say is you must go out and buy all 3 of these books...they are worth it. I wont usually tell someone to buy a book unless I know its a great book and I believe these books are well worth it. I give this book a amazing 5 out of 5 stars!!! So sad to see Jenna's story end but I know Danielle will have plenty more stories to come :)
When I first started on page one I was completely blown away. Danielle Has Done It Again!!! When I read books by the same author often the stories tend to all fade into one story, but for me Danielle really knows how to change it up. This is the first book I've ever read this way. I get the feeling that the main character "Carly" is reading us her story like its right out of her journal.
Danielle has mastered what all writers strive for...(in my opinion) being able to relate to the main character. There's nothing like reading a book and feeling like a part of that character is indeed yourself. Being able to relate to the MC (Main Character) is something that is a hit or miss for many books and when an author can do that they have the book in the bag. The feelings I got from Carly were so genuine and real to me. I've read so many other reviews for this book and they all seem to speak the same way...we've all felt something from the words written across the page. Danielle's words are magic on my screen. If someone was to ask me why I read I would put this book right in front of their face and ask them if they could turn away after chapter 1.
It hits home to a lot of things young adults deal with everyday. Insecurities, denial, anger, depression, hopelessness and so much more. As a young adult with a not so perfect home structure growing up I can identify with Carly and became attached to her story. When she cried I cried. It was a emotional rollercoaster for me as a reader, and something I will strive to reach for as a writer.
I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars and I believe it deserves so much more. I have been trying to write this blog post for ever it seems like and no matter what I change or add it never seems to do this book justice.
My advice is to grab this book and just try to read it. I understand some people may not like it but it is never a mistake to try something new. I know its a totally different style of writing but it is so worth it. You will not regret it :)...more
WARNING!! Reading this book will give you the following....
Major Heartache Confusion Beyond Belief (Reece's story) Desire Hidden in the Dark Happiness for the Future Knowledge of Danger to Come
If that doesn't make you want to know what's going to happen my review just might. I love this book, words cannot describe it. If you never read Heart Waves you should go out and grab it!!
We start off the second book where we left off in the first. Jenna is confused and then remembers the night before. Reece is nowhere in sight. She then leaves her best friends house (Grace) and goes home where later Reece shows up with some flowers and tells her everything is alright, but again like in Heart Waves avoids the subject of his secrets. Now this gets tricky, I don't want to spoil things for anyone who may be reading this review. Reece is Jenna's world, but all the sudden Reece is ripped from her heart. Friends & Family are treating her like it's a crime to be thinking of him since he's gone now. Get over it and move on, it's what every young girl should do right, there's plenty of fish in the sea, but he was her Romeo to her Juliet and things will never be the same.
The electric white light between her and Reece is gone and filled with a dark gaping hole. During this dark time a mysterious character arrives....Tyler. Jenna finds a friend, one who understands lost things and the feeling of loneliness. It's almost unavoidable she's attracted to him like a magnet. He understands her in ways she can't believe, and begins to wounder if what she felt for Reece was just a bubble. Did she really even know him?? Did he feed her cheap words?? Tyler is raw and new to her scabbed heart, he shows her what it is to live again. To feel the blood pump through her broken heart.
This book will take you on a roller-coaster with your mind, heart, and emotions. Jenna's choices come with consequences. I personally am rooting all the way for Tyler. I loved his character from the beginning in Heart Waves and this books makes me LOVE him even more. We see how real Tyler is, and how deep inside hes wounded just like Jenna. Hes a hurt dog who has to have a loud bark. He's scared to accept people inside and Jenna eventually breaks through his wall and sees right through his exterior.
My words for this book is Amazing, Beautiful, Heart-Breaking, and Shocking! I really wanna go back right now and read it again. I feel like I didn't absorb enough of it.I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars! I hope you all enjoy this book!! Thank you Danielle Sibarium for creating such a great book & letting us all be a part of it :)
I want to ask you all who you think Jenna should be with and why?? Also what do you all think Reece is so scared of?? If this was turned into a Movie what Actors would you cast?? ...more
I will start out saying this book is amazing!! It blew me away, It's been such a long time since I've read just a young adult romance book and I'm glad it was this one. Danielle Sibarium has a way of stealing your heart and making you fall in love with the characters.
It was a easy read. It starts out with Jenna at a house party with her thoughts. Shes mad at this guy named Steve and has finally got a chance for revenge, she intentionally ruins his relationship with a girl by what holds in his future. When shes all said and done a guy comes up and places his ring in her hand and this is where our journey begins. She gets upset about what she sees and how she is in his future. Only things will end sadly so she storms out. Only he's this amazing guy who likes to play the Hero and man oh man is he great with the smooth talking. I would have melted in his arms :)
Jenna knows from the beginning that her and Reece are doomed to end, so she figures she'll stop it before it begins. Only he wins her heart in the end. His thousand watt smile and carelessness draws Jenna in. Hes drawn to her in a way hes never felt before, girls always chase after him, he's never had to do the chasing and I loved seeing him struggle and be surprised by her. Jenna is a very relateable character. I can see some things in her that were like me as a teen. I think every girl who reads this will find a part of her that they can relate to. She's insecure at times and has some trouble trusting Reece at times.
When they are together its the cutest thing, hes very protective of her and can't stand to be apart for more than a moment, but the summer is coming to a end and shes still in high school while hes in college. The drama in this book is on high. Grace (Jenna's Best friend) is a great addition to this book. Grace adds a element of comfort for Jenna and advice in dire situations. As the past catches up with Reece will Jenna still trust him. Is his past to much for her, and will knowing the future make Jenna give up hope for a ultimate action to change the reaction of their future??
Throughout this story we learn more and more about Reece, he's Mister Mystery and holds some dark secrets. An ex-girlfriend, a family who never meets his girl friends, best friends with a guy she hates (Mike) who dates her best friend, breaking Jenna's heart somewhere in the future, and then the hatred for a guy named Tyler. The ending left me emotional. We didn't get all our answers and are left blank wondering what is going on. I was a bit upset with Reece and wanted him to trust in Jenna to tell her what's going on and know that she wont run this time. We are left with questions and now I want to know more...Is Grace and Mike okay and is Tyler good or bad??? Can Reece be trusted??
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend to anyone who is interested in a light easy read. The book flows and is easy to stay with the story. It's very charming and makes you hopeful that everything works out for the best. There's not to much of a paranormal feel to it, and for all those people who don't like paranormal books, this one you can find an exception for. I think it's also a great read for teens in high school and even adults. I personally cannot wait for the sequel to this book and think that this series would make a great movie for young girls :) All in all I loved it and read it in a day. I hope you all enjoy this book.
I borrowed this book from a friend. I had never heard of it, but I did hear about 50 Shades Of Grey, which it is compared to. Let me say that I read it in a day, yes a day, its a amazing read and not for anyone who is...a prude. : /
I honestly think this is better than 50 Shades of Grey. Why?? In 50 Shades I just got bored and tired of the main character Ana and the character in Bared to you just seemed more real to me.
Surprisingly this is a hard book for me to review...like its taken me a week to think of what to write... :( sad I know but there's just to much to say and I don't want to have to write you all a small book of this one :) So here's my best shot...
I was hooked at the first couple of pages. Eva Tramell is a captivating, strong main character. She's witty and quite talented, but shes also clumsy so I can relate. Her and her best friend Cary have just moved to Manhattan and shes on her way to track out her way to work for the next morning. When shes in the building a woman next to her drops her change all over the floor so she drops down and helps her, while shes on the floor a stranger steps right in front of her making it hard to pick up more change. As she scans her vision upwards she sees Mr. Dark & Dangerous. He leans down and she turns right into a stuttering teenager about to have her first kiss *blush*. So you can imagine shes shaken right and drops onto her behind right in front of him, so he helps her up and its just a very awkward situation.
She then runs off and thinks nothing of this man except that hes totally hot. The next day we meet her boss at her awesome job for advertisements. She helps her boss get ready for a meeting with the big boss and hes hoping to be picked for this. As she enters the meeting room later that week guess who's standing there staring at her, yep you know it Mr. Dark & Dangerous (Gideon Cross) and stumbles into his arms. eek!! We then find out that hes not only high up in the company but hes the owner of Crossfire industries and is extremely rich. That does not faze Eva though since she grew up rich and is in no need for money, so his money does not attract her at all. Its all in his Intensity and lets face it his HOTNESS!!!
So anyways I'm sure you can guess some things that happen after this embarrassing encounter. But there is a story to this novel. One that captures you and makes you dig into the book to figure out what the heck is going on. Gideon Cross has some dark secrets that are there for you to figure out. The main characters struggle to stay together because they cannot let go of their past. There is honestly a lot of sexual encounters in this book and they are blush worthy, so under age children should obviously stay clear, unless your parents say okay and your mature enough to read, since some teens have frankly seen or read worse.
I have some ideas as to what is up with Gideon Cross but of course I'm not going to say it on here if my guess is true then I may just have a give away for the upcoming #2 of the Crossfire novels :) I really love this book and am obsessed with it. its the first and the second comes out in October!! So excited. I recommend to anyone who enjoys romance novels also who doesn't mind to much graphic content. Also to anyone who enjoys 50 shades of grey and any other adult erotica.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars for captivating me and keeping me interested. I love the characters and the story. I hope you all feel the same as I do :) So you know I'm not just gonna give away the second book I'll put a glimmer of what I think is Gideon Cross's deepest darkest secrets. I believe it has something to do with his mother and his sister....why??? I think its a blonde thing ;)

So I got this book about a week ago. I won it on Goodreads and I was super excited to read this. I started it last Wednesday and I didn't finish until late last night. Of course there were days I couldn't even read because I was super busy. Anyways...don't judge a book by its cover. I thought this would be a book like Before I Fall (not the whole groundhog day theme) but I thought Anna would be some popular girl who turned into a fallout for being slutty. Was I wrong or what...
It starts out quick and the writing is very unique. Its poetic but not in the way Ellen Hopkins writes. I believe the form is first person, for people who get it confused its (I went to the store). The only thing I disliked about this book was the way it was chopped up, like I picked up my laundry, I walked out the door and ran into a guy named Todd :) that's the only way I can describe it. It's all very one worded. I'm not saying at all its a bad book, just not the style I'd prefer to read it in. I tend to like a lot of description.
This ended up as a very sad story of a lonely girl looking for something and not knowing what it is. It hits home to me. I was a outcast all through school for reasons unknown to myself. I wasn't a normal teen. My parents kept me busy with chores and kept me away from boys (my older sister got pregnant at 15). See blog on my bio. Why did I not fit in? Where do I belong? Who can I trust? Am I good enough?? Questions we all often ask ourselves. I still think about it and I still don't know what my life is ahead of me. What will I become? Anna is lost among the buzzing and sees the world in a way I sometimes do. People just running so busy to appreciate what they have. They worry, they rush. This book holds a lot of things I believe in. Family is precious, Time is limited. Friends come and go.
Anna is a very unique character. Shes a five pointed star, She has no mom, she has no dad, but she has boys. She figures out at a young age boys can fill the gap in her heart, but at what cost? She has a mom but her mother is always gone, and Anna is left in a big empty home. As the story continues Anna is with a guy named Todd for a long time and the buzzing goes away. Then months later it comes back, She realizes this isn't what she wanted either.
Anna's life suddenly gets turned inside out, Sam has a big family, they all cook dinner together and play games. Its warm and Anna feels like a outcast in a world to far for her to grasp. Shes spiraling down the rabbit hole and Sam catches her and saves her entire life. She finally belongs somewhere. She's finally found her mother, her father and her long lost five pointed stars......
I give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed the book. I'm not crazy about it but it was very touching to read Ann'as story and I will always cherish this book. It's a story every young girl can relate to. I will recommend this to every girl out there. I hope you all enjoy it and keep the lessons that can be learned here to heart :)

This book has completely caught me off guard. I thought it would be good but I didn't know it would be amazing!! I mean look at that COVER who could turn away from it?? It draws you in immediately. Then you step into the book and realize its better then you could have expected. Rayna is the main character and she has secrets. She can see angels or well she just believes their wings, angels can't be real right?? This book did take me a while to really get caught up in it, but I sure did within a couple chapters. It wasn't that the book was boring it was just a slow progression.
Ray is just getting back to normal, shes not seeing wings anymore and she's applying for a job at the local diner. They may wear ugly uniforms but she could use a dose of normalcy. The only problem....she thinks she saw a pair of wings on a guy across the road, then there gone. There's another problem...what will her father think of her getting a job, will he tell her the stress will just take her back a step and have to send her to the SS Crazy (Mental Institute she attended) again??? She can't let that happen.
Lee (her best friend) is oblivious to the mental struggle Ray is going through. Can she find her balance staying sane and being a friend with a secret that could potentially have Lee running for the hills?? Then shes hit full force with bright shinny wings right in her classroom, she knows right then and there shes slipping. Could the new kid be causing all the murders? Ray has nothing else to do but explore the unknown that maybe shes not crazy at all, and she really can see wings. The new guy Cam could be right in the middle of it. Will she take the chance to figure it out or will she fall prey to her own mind and be sent away in a straight jacket??
She knows knowledge is power so she sets out to explore the unknown and figure it out. Kade is another angel she finds with the wings the color of the sky at night and glitters like the stars. Shes mesmerized by the power he holds, but he could be the one she should be afraid of. With danger at her door who can Ray come to depend on and trust? Will Kade's humanity save her? Can Cam break the rules to save her?? Will the dark envelope her in Hell and force her to use her gift as a weapon to bring darkness upon Earth.
I LOVE this book. Like as soon as it comes out I'm buying it and then so with the ones after. I love how real it seems, Rays emotions are right there and you feel them. You feel her panic and you even feel the other characters feelings. There is a major love triangle here and its really hard to pick sides, but if my readers know me then they know I always chose the darker character. I really don't know what it is but I love a bad boy :) Team Kade all the way!!
I give this book a big 5 out of 5 stars. I can't resist this book and can't wait to read more from Lisa Basso!!
**Spoliers for anyone who hasn't read Delirium - just a catuion to read at your own risk**
This post is very honest. This is the first time where it was even hard to give the book 3 stars. Does it deserve 4? My reasons are very clear. I started reading this book at the beginning of 2014 and it took me many many months to even get to 150 pages. Granted I was going through a lot at the time and my life completely changed so that could have effected my judgement on this book. I just could not get into it. I loved the 1st and 2nd books and this one took me forever to get into it.
Then I decided recently to pick the book up again and continue then so many chapters in and the book finally comes to life. I'm thrown into Lena and Hana's world, since the book is done in chapters starting in either of their point of views. As I kept reading I found I couldn't put the book down and I just had to finish. While it took me 1 year to read 150 pages it only took me 5 days to finish the book off! Somewhere in the middle the book just finally began.
The reason for the low star is simple, the battle against the cured and the uncured is building and things are about to unravel. Then just at the end it feels like we are just left with a glimpse of what may happen. I get the meaning, how with our own lives its left open and unknown. I guess to me though I wanted to be assured that something better would arrive for Lena and her group.
My favorite thing about the book and the trilogy all together is the not knowing. Exactly what our lives are. The not knowing of what our future hold, the HOPE and FAITH and above all the LOVE that we all search for and hold on to. I root for Lena to finally achieve true love. and for Hana to break through the cure.
I give this book 3 out of 5 stars. I could be better. It was a slow start and and good but not the greatest end. I loved the meaning of the story but wished for better outcomes in the end for Lena. More from Alex and Hana. Like I was waiting the whole time for them to just do SOMETHING. Otherwise the book was great. And if you are reading this and you haven't started to read the trilogy I do recommend you do. Yes I didn't give this book great stars but the meaning and the story all together is a great and meaningful story. ...more
As I have learned, this book started out as a Twilight FanFic...I'm guessing this is the reason I don't like it so much...I seem to have a problem with the character building in this story. In the beginning we are learning about Ana Steel and how shes about to go interview this multi-billionaire for her roommate and best friend Katherine Kavinaugh. I enjoyed the beginning but as the story went on I felt the character Ana was lacking in my interest department, to me the story turned into only information about Christian Grey. Oddly enough the sexual parts in this book did not bother me or make me feel like I just got caught sneaking in the boys locker room. I felt it also lacked some potential to be erotic.
The book is so-so to me. Just like with Twilight. I enjoy books where the lead girl is strong and has a-lot of power. In Twilight Bella was weak to me until the end and she didn't have much of a back story she was just there. Just like with Ana she doesn't have to much of a back story and doesn't progress like Christian does. I didn't hate this book but for the first time I also didn't care for it either. I usually love everything I pick up but things for me were missing. There were moments that I liked and some that I did not. I enjoyed Christian Grey a-lot, to me he made the story.I felt I kept reading so I can find out more about him.
I would recommend this to any reader who wants to step outside the box. I always keep an open mind. So I give this book 2.5 out of 5 stars :( I don't hate this book but I don't love it. The second book is better then this one, so if you can get through it continue because it does get better. I also think there's a lot of hate on this book. There is also a lot of fans for this trilogy. I personally will be excited to see it as a movie.
Will I ever read this book again?? Nope. The last book in this trilogy is my favorite, that one I would read again. Anyways I hope this review helps some people who were doubting the book to at least read it and see what this 50 shades stuff is all about. Christen is worth the read :)
