This one starts years ago when Will first sees Takoda at the midsummer ritual held on sacred land to the Sioux (land that happens to be owned by Will’s grandfather).
Fast-forward to now, Gramps is gone, Will’s father Kevin owns the land and H A T E S natives with an unreal passion (sadly, I’ve met men just like Kevin). This is where the real story begins. Takoda and Will meet once again and Will sets out to help Takoda and the Sioux people, never realizing that in so doing, he would find his heart and his true home.
The Fight for Identity is in my opinion on of Mr. Grey’s best story. It is also a much needed story and journey to be shared as the troubles Mr. Grey puts his characters through are actual RL problems. Each of the Good Fight series books has been this way and I wholeheartedly recommend all 4 books in the series! It touched me deeply and will be one I read again and again both for it’s love and for it’s power.(less)

Jason Holt and Patrick Wentworth as they find their way through coming out post DADT. This story is well written with characters that draw you in and make you care about them and the emotional roller-coaster of coming out, not just to friends and family, but to the ARMY as well.
This is a H O T, emotional read that while short, stays with you long after the last page. It also guides us through the fear that many gays in the military have suffered even after the repeal of DADT. A lovely read from a wonderful author. (less)

A Wild Ride is the story of Ryan and Dante. Dante is a bull rider, a gay bull rider, determined to win but even more dedicated to his grandfather, Hy. Ryan is a financial consultant and a reluctant Dom. After the two men meet and have one perfect night, they each think they will never see the other again. What neither counted on was Hy hiring Ryan to help with his financial estate.
The attraction is red hot, but each man has fears. As each man struggles with his identity and past, they are set upon by homophobic sponsors, a gay bashing, and more. Watching these two men grow and learn to love together was a wonderful adventure.
This is one story that has both action and heart. The passion Andrew shows in his characters, world, and situations is nothing short of amazing. I simply couldn’t get enough of Dante and Ryan, in and out of their clothes If you love stories that are both hot and sweet, then A Wild Ride is your perfect read.

Organic Chemistry is the newest novella by Andrew Grey. In this story we meet Josh, an ‘out’ college football coach who has issues thrown at him from ignorant players (though, thankfully not many) and his own father, and Brendon, a chem genius and professor whose reality falls more on the Asperger’s side of the spectrum than some might appreciate.
When these two men are brought together, thanks to crashing into one another, Josh sets out to find the sexy guy who left behind something in the hall. He didn’t expect him to be a professor, but that makes his interest possible to peruse. . . well, if Brendon can be torn away from his teaching and research project long enough.
As these two find their way through Brendon’s quirks, issues with a department head that just loves to cause trouble, and learning to trust and love, this story takes you one sexy ride! If you love “real” romance, where the MCs are not MR. Perfect, except for each other, then Organic Chemistry is a MUST READ!
*Let me say this also—aww . . . sniff sniff. I love it. Wish I could show it to my 14 yo (he’s an Aspie and rarely gets social queues, is a junior in high school, etc.) I told him about the story itself and he’s thrilled “someone like me gets a happy ending.” So, Mr. Grey, thank for writing this one! Having said that, I had no preconceived notions of what this story should be.
The sex is H O T and, um, creative at times. There’s M/F, M/M, M/F/M and a little other thrown in for fun! The plot has more twists and turns that my son’s slinky, but so much fun to try to follow along and unravel (yes, I have unravelled a slinky, why do you ask?). How one corrupt agent causes so much trouble is impressive. Add in terrorists, undercover agents, and a truly messed up woman and you have the perfect mix for a paranormal thriller. Oh, and Vaihan is just as deadly as he is sexy—even if his sperm is poison and addictive. Yes, zombies are seriously twisted creatures in a.c.’s world, but also fascinating and yummy (or is that humans that are yummy, lol).
I loved Sins and am thrilled that the sequel is slated to be released this fall (hurry up fall) as I can’t wait to read more. . . especially with how the story ended . . . If you love mystery, paranormal, and sex, then Sins of the Undead Patriot is a must read. (less)

Heat Under Fire is the newest novella from Andrew Grey. It’s in the same town as the By Fire series and the Of Love books. Dirk and Lee even make brief visits! Yes, that was me squealing Unapologetically, thank you very much. When I heard that Andrew was doing a spin-off on the two hottest firefighters ever (well, a close tie with Griff and Dante, but I digress...) I knew I had to read Heat Under Fire. That said, Justin and Rock had some pretty serious boots to fill, but boy did they ever!
From the very beginning Mr. Grey had my attention, and my heart racing. Watching Justin rescue a busload of children, a bus that was hanging off the freeway, set the tone for the kind of man he is. The problem for Justin becomes readily apparent though, in a work situation he is strong, controlled, honourable, and communicates flawlessly. Take the job out of the situation and the sexy, hero suddenly can’t manage more than to gape and choke.
Rock is a paramedic and has a serious thing for the confusing and aloof Justin. Well, aloof to him. Rock knows Justin talks to others just fine, but not to him. When their lack of communication sends Justin running for home and Rock to demand what his problem is, Justin manages to use his getting tongue tied for something useful... Tangling his tongue with Rocks!
As they start seeing one another, a crazy mother, a quack, hospital visits, and the By Fire guys all get mixed in, and what a strange mix it is. But facing the past and moving forward is never easy, especially when you can’t remember the past that haunts you.
The characters are so beautifully written they stay with you long after finishing the story (I've already read it a second time... yep, just as good). Their emotions so real you feel your heart race, your eyes mist, and your ... well, a fan or cold shower might be needed a few times, lol. I wholeheartedly recommend Heat Under Fire for any that love M/M romance, hot cops, sexy EMTs, and a great story.

Monster is the story of Julian and Siris. They were part of a boy band years ago, but time, fears and the world separated them. Now, they are set to be partnered agents, something neither man knows. To add to the problems, each is unwilling to deal with their feelings. Siris goes so far as to take someone else home with him, straining an already tenuous hold of fate on these two.
Graphic and imperfect, the characters and story drew me in and refused to let go even once the last page was done. I loved the characters and felt their fear, passion, pain, and joy. If you love gritty paranormals then this book is a must read! Book #2, Inertia, is due out in June and I can’t wait *You meet the MC in Monsters. (less)

Wombstone is a fast paced, dark vampire story that is both engaging and unique. I was caught up in the story and characters right away and the at times disturbing story kept my interest (and pages turning) until the last word.
This is the story of Mia, a strong willed girl who is first kidnapped by a sadistic vampire, Caleb, then ‘rescued’ by a slightly touched in the head vampire, Ryan (gotta love a vamp with mood swings, lol), who turns her. . . something she is not happy about. She wants her old life back, but with the unpredictable comes then intriguing and Wombstone is that! Though, I’m eagerly awaiting to see how the series progresses, considering the um. . . unconventional ending to the book.
If you want a great / twisted read with a bite, then Wombstone is the perfect choice.

This story had me at page one and didn’t quit for days after I read the last word. The Fight Within is a gripping journey of loss, love, learning to both let go of the past and stand up for yourself in the now and future.
Paytah is such a multifaceted character that I truly wish I could go meet him in RL! His emotions run deep, his heart is huge but has been so abused that he can’t let anyone near for fear that his past will destroy him.
Bryce is a moody sweetie, but then loosing your partner seems like a good reason for the attitude to me. But after being bullied by Jerry Lincoln and Akecheta (John) Black Raven’s kids (their story is in The Good Fight) into going on a road trip to the reservation John’s family lives on, his heart and world are rocked and spun on end.
What do you get when you mix two proud men, a past of abuse and pain, and a love that won’t be denied—no matter how many insults or miles lay in the way? A world rich in textures; characters so vibrant you laugh, cry, and swoon with them; and a story that not only touches you deeply, but is one that truly needs to be told.
I can not say enough good about Andrew Grey’s The Fight Within! In my opinion this is Mr. Grey’s best story to date. It touched me deeply and will be one I read again and again both for it’s love and for it’s power. There will be a 3rd in this series, The Fight for Identity, in May. . . I can’t wait!

The Green-Eyed Doll begins with two people, both trying to run from their pasts, and failing miserably. When Catherine arrives in Butte Crest, TX she’s running from an abusive past and her decision to protect herself. Before she knows it, she’s attracted the attention and interest of the small town Sherriff.
Sherriff Matt Ballard is running too, but from a failed mission and the loss of his partner. When he stops someone for a traffic violation one day, the last thing he expected was to find is a green eyed woman, with wild red hair, who attracts him with her spark and her gentle vulnerability.
The enter the killer. . . He’s determined to have his own ‘green-eyed doll’ and has his heart set on Catherine. Matt has to navigate the secrets Catherine has hidden all while trying to find and save her, before the killer gets his wish and Catherine is lost of him, forever.
I only read romantic suspense when in the mood for it, lol, but this is one book I will not only reread, but look forward to visiting again and again. The chemistry and tension was H O T. The suspense kept me reading until 3 A.M., unable to put it down until the mystery was solved and the romance. . .

This story begins with Cat and Michael meeting at a bar *see excerpt below* and follows them as they try to navigate the muddy waters of turning a one-night-stand into a relationship all while dealing with threats, attacks, his very overbearing father, and both their pasts.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story and, sadly, it’s a completely believable plot, twists included. as for the suspense part. . . while it wasn’t a total shock, it wasn’t who I thought it would be. The writing is engaging, the romance deep, and the ending?... Wonderful. I look forward to more from this author! (less)

In A Volatile Range Andrew Grey takes on PTSD and flashbacks from a Vet along with a heart that is still hung up on the man who abandoned it.
Gordon is tricked into trying to free Wally’s cats (big mistake!) but before he can complete his mission, one of the cats takes a swipe, putting him in his place faster than even Mario with his shotgun can. Mario is recently single, well if 18 months counts as recent, and much against his wishes feels his heart engage as he guards and guides Gordon back to his house so Kota can patch him up.
Watching as Mario struggles with his heart and Gordon fights both PTSD and what’s left of his pride is both wonderful and heart-wrenching at the same time. Watching as both men grow, struggle, and love is touching and brought a sniffle or two. As an ex-military wife I saw many men that were suffering similarly to Gordon and am well pleased with how his struggles were handled. Thank you Mr. Grey for such a wonderful story.
Andrew Grey writes strong stories of men in difficult situations overcoming and finding their hearts and HEA’s. Beautifully written continuation of a powerfully delivered series that once again shows the endurance of love and dedication that Andrew gives to each of his beloved characters. As always, I’m looking forward to more from Andrew and especially from his Range series!(less)

Domination, submission, were lore, passion, and the issue that Lucas is Noah’s boss ensue as they train their men and weres, and ship to Afghanistan.
The story is compelling from the very beginning. Kendall’s world is right with history, legends, military and war issues, and two men that completely manage to fail at communication with each other, lol.
The romance and leadership captured me and kept me ‘til the very last (which has hints for a future book, yippee). I have a soft spot for military men as it is (my hubby was in the Army) so I loved all the military aspects and terms throughout. I’ve only recently really gotten into shifter stories (last couple of years) but this one would have gotten me to want more all on it’s own. Kendall’s shifters are not your typical shifter and I simply love the peak into their structure, lives, and sex. I can’t wait for book #2! (hurry up, Kendall).(less)

I felt so bad for Gabe and Alex, both for their horrid pasts and for many issues throughout the story, but loved watching them grow close and develop.
Gabe doesn't believe he deserves to be loved, especially by the sexy young man names Alex. Alex is scared and knows little of his own power, but is immediately entranced with Gabe. The more Gabe tries to run, the harder Alex is determined to now only win his heart, but show him that he is worthy of love... his love.
I will say the end was sad in many ways, but it is an HEA story. This was only book #1 but set up for many more stories in this world. I can't wait to read more of this series and from this author! (less)

No Limits is both a departure and a return to roots story in one for Andrew Grey. I wasn’t sure about the drugs when I first sat down to read this one, not often enjoying characters that struggle with this addiction, an opinion that I am happy to throw out now that I’ve gotten to know Spider / Bart. I’ve loved poor Tyrone since he first appeared in the series and am ecstatic he finally got his HEA!
There are, of course, all the standard characters... the series does revolve around Laughton Farm after all, lol. But this time Duane picks up the stray, instead of Geoff or Eli, and what a stray?! When we first meet Bart he is called Spider and is high, his life out of control, and running. After buying tainted chemicals he goes through detox and Duane gets a hold of him (insert evil cackle here please). Before he knows what’s hit him, the Laughton family has taken him in, put him to work, and introduced him to Ty.
For Tyrone, meeting Bart was not the happiest situation he could imagine. Ty is still in the closet thanks to his bigoted family (his uncle even poisoned Eli not that long ago!), so meeting a troubled man that tugs at his heart and excites his body is not overly appreciated. But with a little help from Eli, things get on tract for these two, until... well, you can only run from your past for so long...
I loved was seeing love grow, trust shift, and faith in the family we choose overcome even the worst chemical dependence and the dregs of criminals. The characters are well thought out and the growth immense, the writing caught me right away and didn’t let go to the very end (about 3 AM ).
If you love stories where the love is deep, the passion tangible, and the sense of family is a true power, then look no farther than Love Means... No Limit. Thank you Andrew for a touching story that shows no matter how low you spiral, there is hope for a future and for love! (less)

While Case is struggling, Gabbie is willing to help, more than willing at times but their mutual attraction both helps and hinders them. It’s a nice balance of love story, overcoming difficulty / loss, and having to trust the other (more than emotionally – which is hard enough for either to do).

If you don’t know already, Geoff is one of the main characters from the Love Means... series by Andrew Grey. Geoff gets his chance to not just share his story with us, but he now gets to write his own books for his son, Jakey.
By The Creek is a wonderful story of two young men coming to terms with their sexuality and with the world around them. For David, this is mostly an internal struggle but for Benjamin, a young Amish man/teen, this is more than simply dealing with his confusing and forbidden feelings, he also has to deal with how his family and community view homosexuality.
For some, the fact Benjamin is Amish might make them think it’s one of those “their” problems, but being abused, shunned, disowned, etc. happens all around the world, constantly to LGBTQ teens and adults who decide to be true to who they are and fight to love whom they love. What I hope everyone that reads this book finds is a touching romance that gives hope and shows what a little love and support can do for those struggling. (Mind you, even without the ‘moral’ this is simply a wonderful read!)
I can’t wait to read more from Geoff! He has a great writing voice and I, personally, think we need more LGBT YA and NA books out there. Straight teens have heroes to look up to, to see that things do get better, that they can overcome and still have love and a great life... this is what Geoff gives his readers in By The Creek. (less)

Let me start by saying that this is only my second read from the Work Out series by Andrew, so even though I’m a fan, this is a pretty new flavour of M/M from Mr. Grey. Having said that, I was very pleasantly surprised by both the storyline and the character history and development throughout Cardio Conditioning. Jerry is a diabetic that has pretty much given up on finding a lover to truly love him and be able to handle his health issues due to the diabetes. I can sympathise completely. It can be very hard to find people that can handle health problems, especially ones that scare and/or limit like diabetes can. Gianni is a sculpted, sexy man that sings opera while he strips, or that’s one job he has at least. But while he is beautiful, he also has trouble finding someone that can see past his body or his job to see the man he truly is inside.
From the first introduction things are interesting with these two, lol. The first time they meet Jerry has a hypoglycaemic episode and collapses at Gianni’s feet at the gym they both use. Gianni’s used to men falling at his feet, but not like that. A week later it’s Jerry who gets to rescue the beautiful Gianni when his car won’t start in the middle of a rain storm. From there they work towards a HEA but fear, insecurity, and lack of communication tries to pull them apart.
I thoroughly enjoyed Cardio Conditioning and will be going back to grab copies of the first 6 novellas in the series! Oh, and for any Gene and Dan fans from Spot Me, they are in this one as well, which is the only other Work Out book I’ve read . If you love men, love, and HEA’s then this book is for you! Enjoy and happy New Year!

Now, I often don’t feel that shorts give enough of the characters to make them feel real, but Ms. Prince’s writing does not suffer that fate. Indeed, Alexa and Angelo are real, emotional charged people that have to find their hearts together.

Isolated is the story of Marty, an 18 yo man who suffers a stroke during his first college B-Ball game, and Quinn, Wally’s vet assistant.
When Marty wakes in the hospital, his life has been forever changed but thanks to her doctor (Dr. Feel Good, lol) he meets Dr. Dakota and is hired as a hand on the ranch he co-owns with Haven. Kota assigns him a few physical tasks while he goes through therapy but his main job is to sit with and care for Jefferson, Dakota’s father.
As the story progresses, you watch the two men grow together as they struggle to overcome Marty’s stroke and both men’s homophobic families. But when Marty is forced to choose between his family and Quinn, will he follow his heart or succumb to the pressures of family and right wing, homophobic, politics?
An Isolated Range is a touching yet heart-wrenching story, one that I loved. There are a few events that while I knew they were coming, still brought heartache and tears, yet were wonderfully written by an author who is dedicated to his characters hearts and lives. Andrew gives his characters' voice while also showing us how life can be if we are strong enough to reach for it. I look forward to more from Andrew, and thank him for letting me get my hands on an eARC copy of a truly wonderful M/M story that touched my heart as it made me want to reach for a fan, lol. (less)

The start of the holiday vacation for Chris sends him into a bit of a panic . . . snow, blizzard, and his friend isn’t there, but then the sexy red headed recluse down the road stops by to check on him and more than a holiday prayer is answered as these two men learn to embrace love and each other.
Snowbound in Nowhere is a wonderful short read. It’s part of the Evergreen 2012 Advent Calendar. Snowbound drew me in very quickly and didn’t let go again until I was sniffling at the end of the very last sentence. I highly recommend to any that love quick, warm yet tasty reads between hot men on cold nights! (less)

Crucible of Fate is book #4 in the Change of Heart series and the first not to be from Jin’s POV. I had already grown to love Domin, but in this book I totally fell in-love with him and Yuri!
One note before I dive into why Crucible of Fate is a MUST READ – this book has some violence, though not as much as Honored Vow but does touch on rape, murder, poisoning, and more. But trust me, it’s all needed and logical within the story arc. That all being said, Crucible of Fate picks up right when Domin, Yuri, Crane, and the others return from the adventures in Honored. That first scene had my heart thumping and I think I cheered (much to my children’s amusement) out loud.
Seeing Domin grow was wonderful. Seeing how he dealt with all the corruption surrounding him as he struggles to fulfill his and Logan’s dreams for what the Samel-atan should be and can do. . . was riveting both due to the power of the story and the richness of the world Mary weaves around them. Few authors can pull so many emotions at once (fast paced, explosive, emotional, and deliciously hot) and make it something that you devour in one sitting yet Mary Calmes manages it, again. I truly hope that there will be more books in this series (pleasepleasepleeeeeeeeese . . .). Oh, and seeing Yuri and Domin in bed, or against the wall, or . . . is H O T! Needed a cold shower after a could of the scenes! Wow!
If you love shifter/were stories, especially M/M ones, you can do no better than to read the entire Change of Heart series, especially Crucible of Fate.(less)

Stone is book #2 in the Canada’s Finest series. It tells the story of Jason, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police office who is sent to Afghanistan to help train police there, and Ash, a Canadian Police officer, as they struggle through in IED attack that they are the only survivors of, the hell of living with the civilians there whose actions and way of life torture them on a soul level, and back again once they are rescued.
The story telling is rich, the situations so real you feel like you’re right there through it all with the men, and the trauma so real you need both some Kleenex and something to cuddle. I loved book #1, Sometimes It’s Fate, but Boots on the Ground blew me away. My heart broke for Jason and Ash, and then again for Jason and David. The things they go through are, sadly, very real, as anyone that’s been deployed into deadly areas can attest. The trauma (internal) is also very accurate.
The ending . . . wow! I both loved and despised the ending. It definitely left me demanding the next book, lol. I won’t give any of that away, but be ready for a powerful roller coaster of love, fear, joy, and desperation. This is one book that will both stay with me for a long time and that I will reread again and again. A full 5 Drops of Excellence!
Also, stay tuned at the end of Boot’s on the Ground because Angela has left the blurbs for both Jason and David’s follow up book (Special Investigations) AND for Craig’s (Positive Attraction)! I can’t wait! (less)
