You have a story about a girl who thinks she’s going crazy and has a guy who’s completely in love with her and THIS is all you could come up with?
You daredevil, you.
When you have a guy like Micha who’s gorgeous, loyal, and completely DEVOTED to you… and you can’t make up your mind as to whether you want to be with him, so you keep having sex with him and then keep telling him that you and he are just strictly friends… and then confess that you love him the next day… and then just repeat everything that I just describe?
Yes, sweetheart… you can stop questioning whether or not you’re crazy.
He considers me, his expression impassive, but his pale green eyes shimmer and then burn. “Stand up and take off your clothes, Sara.”
Lisa Renee Jones is a labyrinth of an author. This is a romance series, yes, but it’s so mysterious and so completely sexy that it almost makes you feel blindfolded while reading it in the most stimulating way. She has this unfounded way of telling a story that completely envelopes you.
It’s fucking crazy.
This is a love story. But it’s going to puzzle you and it’s going to drive you to chills and it’s going to startle you.
And you’re going to beg for more.
Sara has Rebecca’s diaries.
Rebecca worked at a very successful art gallery. Rebecca was involved in a clandestine sex club. Rebecca was also involved with a nameless man, who she called “Master”. Rebecca described “Master” as possessive, obsessive, punishing, and consuming.
And Sara’s going to find her, by living vicariously through Rebecca and her diaries.
Sara now works at the very successful art gallery. Sara now knows of the clandestine sex club. Sara now knows two very powerful and dominant men.
She works for the powerful one: Mark. She’s in love with the dominant one: Chris.
And she’s almost positive that one of them is behind Rebecca’s disappearance.
But which one is it?
Is it the powerful Mark? All signs point to yes. He’s controlling. He’s private. He’s demanding. He’s confident. He’s calculating. He’s sexy.
Or is it the dominant Chris? Although, he’s very much different than Mark… Chris is also controlling. And confident. And sexy. But he’s also vulnerable and forthcoming with his secrets.
So who is it?
Is it the quiet, demanding one who Sara kind of hates but respects? Or is it the lovable, vulnerable one who Sara wants to love with all her heart?
Seems like the answer is obvious, doesn’t it?
And maybe it is.
♦ But I strongly doubt it. ♦
“If I decide to leave, you can’t stop me.”

And one hell of a story.
This isn’t your average love story. It’s gritty and savage and angry and lustful. It’s going to devastate you and it’s going to turn you on. You’re going to cry and you’re going to laugh and you’re going to find out how aerodynamic books really are.
And it’s going to be awesome.
Eva meets Deuce when she’s five. Immediately, she’s besotted by the twenty-three-year-old biker the way all children become besotted by their heroes. Even at five, she’s curious about the tortured sadness in his eyes and how his hands look so rough. Little does she know, that during that same first meeting, he’s completely mystified and dismantled by the little girl and her toothy grins and her loud, boisterous laughter.
However, during the following years, innocent admiration for each other turns into something else entirely.
And the story begins…
Deuce comes back into town and suddenly the young, gawky Eva is now a more womanly sixteen. And suddenly their relationship becomes a lot more, as the innocence of it becomes nonexistent and admiration sparks into attraction.
After that first exchange, their lives change drastically. Especially because their relationship walks on forbidden territory.
Eva the daughter of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club President. And Deuce belongs to their almost nemesis, the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club.
But if you think that’ll stop them…
Over the years; no matter what obstacles tear these two apart, fate always manages to throw them back together

This book is the perfect blend of sweet and sexy. Take my word for it, if you’re looking for a truly perfect HEA; you’re going to be doing somersaults over this book!
It starts out with a bang with one hell of sexy prologue, and then it develops into something that leaves you panting the entire way through.
♦ Jules Montgomery ♦
Sassy. Smart. Independent.
Jules was a bit of a wild child growing up as the only girl with three older brothers. She lived her life in her early twenties as a playboy bunny, posing for the magazine’s centerfold.
But she put that all behind her the day she decided to finally grow up and changed from being sexy and sinful to beautiful and independent.
Light blonde hair, legs for days, and a sassy “don’t fuck with me, dude” attitude, Jules is successful in the new office she works at. Her brilliance and professionalism promise to have her climbing the status ladder fast, and soon she's working for man who’s dangerous, sinful, intelligent, and determined.
♥ Nate McKenna ♥
Long, dark hair. Gun metal eyes. Thieving hands. And a criminal smile.
This is everything Nate McKenna, Jules’ boss.
And he wanted her the moment he saw her in his office.
But with a tight no-fraternization policy, he didn’t want to complicate things. So he became the epitome of profession offering her nothing but architected smiles and hard glares.
Until the night all of that went up in flames. He made a mistake.
He touched her.
And he will do it again.
“I want you,” I murmur. Nate growls and suddenly I’m on my back on the couch and he’s hovering over me. “I never stop wanting you,” he responds.
Until the fierce Jules realizes that she belongs to only one man.

Hold on a sec while I pick my jaw up off the floor…
I’m suffering from one GARGANTUAN (love that word) book hangover. Seriously, I’m a mess. You can’t see me right now, but my hair is doing that I’ve-never-heard-of-a-brush thing, and my clothes are direly craving the ironing board (that I never use), and my emotions are off somewhere crying in a corner begging for a shot or bottle of Tequila.
And the buttprint on my very comfy couch is getting larger. I’d like to think that the largeness of said buttprint is caused by my not getting off of it for the past couple of days and not the even *larger* gargantuan amounts of chocolate I’ve consumed at the expense of my emotional meltdowns brought on by THIS book.
Because it’s just that awesome. ;)

- The writing. And not talking grammar mistakes… I’m talking that Rose J. Bell had a story of which she really didn’t know what to do with! - The romance. It was a little premature and I felt that it reached its full potential within the first quarter of the book, which means there wasn’t a lot of build up for it. And I LOVE myself some build up!

I absolutely am besotted♥ with this book and adore this author! Where has Jessica Clare been hiding?!
What I loved about this book was just that it’s the all around “feel good” book, you know? It’s the perfect book to take with you on a weekend vacay; the perfect book to snuggle up with on a stormy day; and just a great, *great* read. I swear, her pages are the stuff of Hershey’s Kisses, because you can’t just stop at one!
This book is the perfect blend between warm-hearted and sexy. Plus it’ll encourage you to wear your sexiest lingerie the next time you’ll know you’re going to be in an elevator. ;)
Midwestern waitress, Brontë Dawson, comes face to face the deliciously gorgeous Logan Hawkins. Only she doesn’t know that he’s the Logan Hawkins.
As in powerful, hard-driven, billionaire ♦Logan Hawkins♦.
Because, well, when you’re trapped in an elevator during a hurricane while on what was supposed to be a dream vacation… details like that tend to slip.
Especially when she mistakes him to be just the manager of the hell-hole/hotel she’s staying in. And as they’re trapped in an elevator while everyone has seemed to have already evacuated the island… things get interesting.
Because Logan never corrects her when she calls him the manager. He doesn’t want her to know that he’s actually the new owner of the establishment and that he has more money than he can possibly spend in three lifetimes.
Because he knows that when most women doodle their names next to his; all they see is money, new shoes with red soles, Alexander McQueen dresses, and a lifestyle living in opulent luxury.
So when Brontë does finds out, she doesn’t know what to think. Because there’s no way in the *world* a man like that can be interested in a small-town, t-shirt-wearing girl such as herself. And she’s not interested in sticking around just long enough for him to figure that out.
But if Logan Hawkins loves anything… it’s a challenge. So when the sexy, giggles-when-she’s-nervous Brontë says thank-you for what she thought was just an island fling… he follows her with the determination of showing her that she’s not like any woman he’s ever come across. And he’s not ready to let her go.
Even if he has to buy the goddamn diner she works at just to fuckin’ talk to her.
“Because you treat me like a regular guy,” he told her. “Because you make me smile. Because you light up when you find a perfect quote for the situation, and I love to see that. Because you’re smart and funny and down-to-earth, and that’s a rare combination in a pretty woman. Because you thought I was no one, and you still took your top off to swim naked with me.”
With a reason like that, what girl could resist? So Brontë takes him up on his offer to go to New York City with him, where he lives. Just to humor him, of course. Not because she’s completely attracted to and entirely fascinated by him. Because that would just be plain-out ridiculous.
However… while with Logan, she finds herself falling head over heals in love with him. And even though she knows he could never love her back…
She was going to do this. They were going to do this. She was going to have a ridiculous, exciting, passionate fling with a man. Not just any man. Gorgeous, seriously, totally alpha Logan Hawkings, who made her toes curl every time she looked at him. Who kissed like he invented it.

Whether you find it in the middle of a sentence, the last page of a chapter, or when that titanium, paper-like wire of sexual tension *finally* gives.
It’s the moment where you realize that the book you’re reading completely and irrevocably owns you.
So I’m going to do the one thing I hate doing: I’m going to spoil this book for you, by telling you that this book?
It has that moment.
You’re going to set it down. And then you’re going to find yourself picking it right back up five minutes later (if you can last that long… personally, I only made to about 4.5). Because you just can’t be away from it for any long increments of time.
It’s the kind of book that’s going to make you have a *very intimate* relationship with your coffee maker, while simultaneously making you divorce your sparkly alarm clock.
Let’s say Bastian was thrown into the Hunger Games with every alpha/most badass/hottest character you’ve ever stumbled across.
Fifteen minutes later, Bastian would be the last one standing with a still full bottle of vodka intact to his hand, a cigarette in the other, and a slightly annoyed look on his face.
Yep. That basically sums him up..
He’s mean and crude and mean and crass and mean and
SEXY AS HELL.
“I could do it, you know,” I heard myself say. My voice had dropped down low, but I knew she still heard me. I leaned over only a little, bringing my mouth closer to her ear. “I could make you come without even touching you.”
He’s also a captain of a small ship, which he and his best friend use to charter rich people around the world.
Until said ship sinks.
And all he’s left with is a seemingly lone young and very female survivor and a safety raft.
♦ Raine ♦
The polar-opposite of Bastian.
Sweet. Innocent. Gentle. Coherent.
And she has utterly no idea how to handle the beast of a guy she’s suddenly stranded with.
Because without • a bottle of precious alcohol • a pack of cigs • any form of a kind word
That’s exactly what good ol’ Bastian is: a beast.
However despite Bastian’s past career as a “fighter”, and despite his darkest secrets… Raine may be the only one who ever understood him and stood up to him.
“I held you,” she said. “I held you, and you cried, and you asked me why no one had ever wanted you. You asked me why your own mother didn’t want you. You asked me why it hurt so much and if I could make it stop hurting. I may not know a lot about you, but I know you aren’t as much of a badass as you want people to think you are.”
So what becomes of Bastian and Raine, the lone survivor of his sunken ship, who he can’t decide if he wants to kill or f**k?
Can he learn to trust the one person who now knows all of his secrets? Can he even love her? Or does he ruin the one chance at his own mental survival?

Physical at...more Hollywood had nothing on us. Awards could be given for the lies we told, and the feelings we hid under a mask of hate and indifference.
Physical attraction is very powerful thing, isn’t it?
I mean, you can be physically attracted to a person you despise; A person you shouldn’t be attracted to; A person who can make your thoughts a little bit mindless; A person who can leave your heart a little bit ribless.
And all the while…
You keep standing there, wondering what’s suddenly missing until you figure out that that the breaths you kept in your back pocket are suddenly gone.
The new guy at the law office with the quickest smirk you’ve ever known. He wears confidence the way you try to. And his dark blue eyes light up with a dark promise that’ll rival your most wicked dreams, and your hottest nightmares.
But he’s got a mindfuck of a secret, a constellation of scars, and a collection of inner demons. And no woman will ever be able to bring him to his knees like they can.
Until he meets his new office mate.
♦ Delilah ♦
She absolutely HATES her new office mate. Which is why she literally gives him the one-finger wave the first chance she gets.
She hates the way he makes her mouth water, she hates the way all the other girls in the law firm flutter about in vain attempts to get his attention, she hates his I-can-have-you-on-your-back-in-six-seconds-flat eyes, and she absolutely hates that she’s attracted to him.
He’s bad news for her already low self-esteem, and she knows it.
But lord knows she can’t help the magnetic pull he seems to have on her.
So she gives in to his dirty talk, to his turn-on of a temper, and his dominating attitude.
And she ends up finding a kindred soul that mirrors her own: completely and utterly shattered.
♦ Thus, it begins: ♦
A physical relationship that’s unhealthy in the worst of ways.
Because it’s possessive and greedy and give and take with a little more give.
So what happens when these two thread-bare characters let their brave masks slip in front of the other? When they become so intertwined that any semblance of self-control is lost? When they forget just what it was that the other gave, and what the other one took?
Well. There’s only one way to find out…
His fingers stroked my hair, calming me. “You’re dead inside.”
When we last left Clay and Maggie… all Maggie was left of the scarred boy was the memory of him with thick bandages on his wrists, laying in a hospital bed; and a good-bye letter fluttering in her hand.
And thenLight in the Shadows begins.
Clay is now in a treatment facility, trying to gain higher ground over his inner demons. And he’s finally succeeding with his new medication; new friends; and therapists. It’s a 90 day program, and he’s made it and is even contemplating staying longer to further his efforts.
But he still can’t forget about her.
The girl whose world he completely annihilated along with his own as she tried to save him. The girl with the gorgeous brown eyes and the soul of a titanium butterfly. The girl who sends him an emotional heart-searing gift on his birthday despite his good-bye letter.
Clay’s back in town. Just when Maggie has dusted herself off from the hell of a fall three months ago. She followed a beautiful boy into the shadows, and came back a little bit stronger and little more damaged.
She still loves him and craves him and wants him.
“There is more beauty inside you than in anyone I have ever met. These pictures don’t lie. I won’t ever forget you. Or stop loving you. You can ask me to. You can tell me to move on. But I won’t. And I never will. Just don’t forget how beautiful we were. How beautiful we can still be.” -- Maggie
And so they give it another go. But this time, it’s different. Because Clay is half-way recovered and doesn’t want it to be about him anymore. He wants it to be about Maggie. About deserving her.
But the thing about recovery is… is that when you’re half-way to recovery, you’re half-way to a relapse.
So will she love him to restoration? Or will he love her to ruins?
Grab some alcohol and your favorite security blanket… because there’s only one way to find out. ;)
As much as I missed her and dreamed of this moment, I was scared of it. Too much had changed. Yet seeing her, my heart and body reacted the same as it always had. She had been my crutch and now she was something else entirely, a painful reminder of all the ways I screwed up. But watching my gorgeous girl move through the crowd of people, I only saw the person I had pinned my future on. And that was both exhilarating and terrifying. (less)
