While reading this book, I easily found myself in Finely's postion. I could feel Finely's grief and struggles to find herself again after her family's tragedy. I could feel Finely's abandonment in her quest to understand God's choices. I could feel Finely's love and faith reborn after working through her demons. I could feel the warmth embrace her when Beckett and God's love surrounded Finely. WOW!!! Is about all I can say. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
While reading this book, the following verse kept popping into my head:
1 Corinthians 13 1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Started it this morning and could not put it down. The content of the book pushed my boundries of comfort at times, but I was still pulled into the storyline. There were times when I wanted to jerk a knot into Christian's head and knock some sense into him, but I could not help but fall for him. Ana's beauty and carisma is just what Christian needs. Anxiously awaiting for September 15th to arrive so I can endulge myself by reading more of Christian and Ana's story.(less)

I read the description and thought it sounded very interesting. Little did I know that I wouldn't be able to put it down since I started reading. Curse work and driving!!! All I wanted to do was see what happened next!
Crimson Moon is a great segway book between YA paranomal romance into adult paranormal romance. It has the sweetness of first love, but the sexiness of the ultimate bond between two people who are destined to be together. This book is definately for 18 years and up.
The storyline picks up rather quickly....within the first 3 chapters. Emma is almost attacked to a former high school classmate but it quickly swept off her feet into the safe arms of Caleb....one hunk of a werewolf. Emman soon learns that she is a trueblood descendant of a powerful vampire. As she is reeling from the knowledge that "she is not in Kanasa anymore", Emma finds herself falling hard for Caleb. Who would have thought that a vampire decendant and a werewolf could be soul mates??? Interesting concept, huh?
JA Saare introduces the reader to several likeable characters from sweet Southern Billy, best friend "were" Sarah to the always sexy and good hearted Trent. Saare wisk the reader from the rolling hills of Minnesota to the rustic wood of Tennesses to the glorious green Scotish coast.
As I was reading Crimson Moon, I felt myself falling in love with the characters. The detail in which Saare wrote the feelings of the characters, made me feel them myself. I found myself wondering what I would do if things didn't work out for Emma and Caleb. There were times when I wanted to jump into the book itself and smack some sense into Caleb!!
I definately recommend Crimson Moon to anyone and everyone. JA Saare just became one of my favorite authors!!!(less)

Lucien has never been able to forgive himself for his wife and daughter's murder 140 years ago. He tortures himself by believing that he doesn't deserve happieness and isolates himself from his "family" and humanity. By chance, Lucien meets little Ollie (Oliva) and her mother, Samantha. Feeding off their happiness, Lucien slowly finds himself feeling again....feeling happiness, love and fulfillment. He quickly realizes that he cannot live with out either one of them. However, Lucien has to protect them from the demons of his world.
Forever Freed has romance, action, adventure. The characters are enjoyable and well developed. The story progresses smoothly from beginning to end. I laughed, sighed and cried throughout the book. There are not many books out there that can engage a reader to feel what the characters are feeling. Laura Kaye is a talented writer who can draw you into her imagination through her books.
This is definately one of my favorite books!!!(less)

This is one of those special books.
Not only is Gabriel's Inferno a gentle love story, but it is also a lesson on how one should love and feel....honestly and deeply.
One of my favorite quotes from the book: "With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship and with all my worldly goods, I thee endow". "I've hear that before. It's beautiful." "It is, isn't it? And in the contest of my rather uncomfortable conversation with Richard, he pointed out that this vow is a pledge that the husband will make love to his wife, and not just use her for sex. he said that the vow expressed the idea that making love is an act of worship. The husband worships his wife with his body, by loving her and giving to her and moving with her toward ecstasy." It is not often that you hear someone refer to making love as an act of worship.
Gabriel and Julia's relationship allows the reader to see a different meaning to being intimate and lovers. For them, being lovers doesn't mean having made love together. For Gabriel and Julia, being lovers means to know the other inside and out, to know each other's deepest darkest secrets and still be able to see the being worthy of love.
Gabriel's Inferno is not your typical romance novel. Yes it is sexy. But beyond that, it is sensual and endearing. It is emotional and feeling.
Outstanding doesn't do this book or it's author any justice. I HIGHLY recommed this novel. It is a definate MUST READ!! (less)

Wolfsbane picks up right with the action that ended Nightshade. Calla and Shay are with the Searchers and have choices to make....Who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. Do they go against everything they have been brought up to believe? How can they save Calla and Ren's pack?
The 2nd book in the Nightshade series does not disappoint. There is tons of actions, lesson learned, love and loves lost. The history of the Keepers, the Searchers and the Guardians is revealed and alliances are made in order to save the world.
I could not put this book down. At the end of Nightshade, I was so team Ren and I wasn't too fond of Shay. Wolfsbane showed a different side of Shay and I began to really like him. But in the end, I am still on team Ren. There is just something about him that draws me to him.
My only diappointment in Wolfsbane is that Ren was not in it enough. However, based on how the storyline is developing, Ren's absense made sense. I am so glad that we don't have to wait an entire year to be able to read Bloodrose....but February is still a long ways away!!!(less)
