It was nice to get some background into Luce and Dainel's past lives, to see how their love for each other developed. Throughout the book, you could see Luce's transformation from teenager with issues into a young lady who finally understands what pure true love is.
I have to say though, I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see more of the favorite charaters in the series. I would have loved to have seen more of Cam and Arriane...but I understand that this book was about Luce and Daniel....their struggles through their past lives and their understanding in the curse that plagues their love.
I was left a little confused though at the end....based on what the Voice said to Daniel and Lucifer when the present Daniel went back to the Fall...it would seem that when present Luce told present Dainel that she would always choose him,the curse should have been broken....hense the reason why present Luce didn't die after her first kiss with present Daniel. So now, the story moves on to the Fallen Angels joining together to defeat Lucifer in his plan to wipe the slate clean. Correct? I guess my confussion will be cleared when Rapture comes out next Spring!!!...more
It is always sad when one of your favorite series comes to an end and I am truly sad about the end of the Wolves of Mercy Falls triolgy.

I am sad that Grace and Sam's story really didn't have an ending. I am sad that there were too many unanswered questions after the words on the last page were read. I am sad that there seem to be too much "filler" and not enough story development in Forever. I am sad that I wasn't in love with Forever like I was with Shiver and Linger. I am sad that Forever was a disappointment.
My critique of the book is based soley on how the 3rd book developed and how it ended. Maggie Stiefvater's writing style does not disappoint...the writting in Forever does not stray from Shiver or Linger. Maggie's poetic genius is very evident in Forever.
I found myself actually skipping over paragraphs and eventually chapters of "filler" in order to get back to the originaly story of Sam and Grace. The first 2/3's of the book were agonizingly slow. But the last third of the book was action packed.
Overall, I just wish that there was more of a finality to the series.
When I decided to purchase Ice Moon, I did so because I thought the concept presented by the author was a unique twist on vampires and werewolves. WhaWhen I decided to purchase Ice Moon, I did so because I thought the concept presented by the author was a unique twist on vampires and werewolves. What I didn’t expect and was pleasantly surprised by was Kristy Quinn’s incorporation of Christian values into the lives of the characters in the book. I instantly fell in love with Haden and Taylor, not to mention their quarky friends and loving family. Through Kristy’s writing, I was able to experience Haden’s journey as if I was in the book itself. I felt every emotion each of the characters in the book experienced. I could picture each of the scenic backdrops of Billings, Swan Lake and Kenton Manor. It is not often that a book can do that to a reader! But what overwhelmed me the most about Ice Moon was how Kristy was able to not only tell an intriguing story about a prophetic child who is to lead her kind out of dark and into light, but how she was able to incorporate Christian values into the story so that each reader could learn the following: • Through God, all things are possible. • God’s love for every creature is never ending. • Three things will last forever--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 No words can truly express how Ice Moon touched me. I HIGHLY recommend this book at anyone who is in love with vampires, werewolves and/or God! ...more
AMAZING!!!! I haven't cried and rejoiced as much as I did reading Foresaken since I read Breaking Dawn!!!
Kristy Quinn delivers another AMAZING book iAMAZING!!!! I haven't cried and rejoiced as much as I did reading Foresaken since I read Breaking Dawn!!!
Kristy Quinn delivers another AMAZING book in the second book of the Ice Moon series. I fell in love with Haden and Taylor in Ice Moon and was anxious to continue following them on their journey in Forsaken. I found myself wanting more and more with each page that I turned. Kristy Quinn continues to create amazing scenic back drops to help develop the storyline and the twists and turns that she comes up with kept me glued to the book. It isn't very often that a book can draw a reader into every word written, but Forsaken in most definately one of those books. When I read Ice Moon and Forsaken, I found myself re evaluating my own life and how I relate to my loved ones. With Kristy's intergration of Christian values, I was able to look at actual situation in my life and see how I could better myself! These books actually helped me see certain aspects of my life differently! As I said before with my review of Ice Moon, Kristy's books allow readers to lear the following:
* Through God, all things are possible. * God's love for every creature is never ending. * Three things will last forever--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
No words can do either of Kristy's books justice. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!! I HIGHLY recommend this book!!! ...more
