The cover was beautiful, the font was huge, and the size was just nice. I was a satisfied reader in that sense.
I was also glad that this book explained in detail and elaborated Mine Till Midnight (book 1). Even though Cam Rohan appeared in most of the scenes, it was not overpowering. The relations between each story and characters were properly distinguish. I would consider that this was one of the most neat artwork from Lisa Kleypas.
Yet, this was not that fun compared to Tempt Me at Twilight or Love in The Afternoon. It was sweet, romantic yet it was not as dark. Regardless, this was what differentiated this story from the other 4 in the series.
Besides, I did not need perfection in the characters. Temper, health issues and average looking heroes were just perfect. For me :) ...more

Tapi buku macam ni pun tak kurang hebatnya. Siapa kata buku ITBM tak cool tu aku tak tau nak kata apa sebab ada beberapa buah yang aku dah baca dah hebat-hebat semuanya! :)

Actually, it is not that bad. It's just that most people are busy with Candy Crush, they will save the battery for the game and forget Merriam Webster in their smartphone. Conventional dictionary or Thesaurus? I don't think so. Yet, that is the the requirement of the book.
Buku Jalanan Seremban celebrated their 365 days of operation few weeks ago and they have extended the invitation to Buku Fixi . Frankly, I searched for their booth the moment I reached TM Bistro. Well, I missed the launching in Publika (which was not intentional), all my Fixi Novo's books were from the first print (and I was proud of that) and the cover for Wedding Speech was awesome!
Look at the colour and simplicity of the book, folks! And just enjoy the quality. Fixi Novo has never failed to amaze me.
I spent the first three days of Ramadhan reading the book and thanking Fixi for the awesome planning of releasing Novo's books. This was not the wisest decision, I would say, knowing the content would contradict the spiritual fights that I must endure as a Muslim. Regardless, with an open mind and knowing that reading was part of learning, I made sure that whatever I read in there was not purely emotion and some things needed objectivity.
Besides, this was what the book missed at certain point - true emotion.
It has got to do with all aspects including the character, the intricate words, the short sentences and the whole story line. I have to admit that as a traveler and reader at the same time, I am a bit lost with certain part of the story. There are times when I everything is too connected or repetitive up to the extend that I feel like going round the circle.
The main character might not be my favourite but that is totally normal, knowing that I always have a thing with villains. Well that would explain why I Karr :)
Regardless, this is not a useless effort. The underlining of this story must be learned and understood. There are new things to be discovered for those who think that life revolves around Muar only.
It's just that I feel that the book is too "Fixi" at the ending. I hate twisted stuff. It doesn't appear exclusive anymore because most Fixi books are twisted. Eventually, this whole twisted thing in this book just burst the anger of the reader. Like me.
If you are against alternative books, try run 100 meter from this book as you might tweet craps in Twitter - condemning the book for no reason at all. Read. I don't want to say much. Just read. No regret :)
3 stars for the book as it's not there yet. Almost - that's what I can say. Fixi Novo has improved a lot. Good job and keep it up Fixi! :)...more

I like the fact that she did her research on what she wrote even though it was just on the sexual techniques :)
Bows Street series is so far my favourite compared to the rest (I used to enjoy Wallflowe Series) yet it is not easy to distinguish which book is my favourite among the three. I gave four stars to Lady Sophia's love merely because the introduction was a bit neat compare to Worth Any Price.
The mystery in this story is quite nice but it has lack of pursuant compared to the one that I read in Devil in Winter, so that remain my favourite book from Lisa Kleypas and Sebastian St Vincent remain my favourite scoundrel.
I just believe that Nick Gentry has more to offer and his character should be a bit more descriptive. Charlotte Howard's intelligence should have been elaborated more as there were times when my mind was still lingering on Sophia Sydney and Victoria Duvall (they should not overshadow this wonderful girl in the first place)
Other than that, I enjoyed reading this piece. It's a keeper :)...more

The characters were almost realistic, with flaws, not necessarily beautiful and rich or even young. I prefer Sir Ross Cannon in Someone to Watch Over Me as he appeared more controlled and relax. Perhaps he was just an additional character therefore liking him was not hard. In Lady Sophia's lover, he appeared to be quite emotional - something I did not expect at all. Yet, who wasn't?

Aku minat tulisan Hlovate sampai basis tulisan itu aku faham benar. Legalah sebab ini tulisan yg aku baca selepas Versus dan Anthem yg hampir sama keduanya. Buku ini aku beri 5 bintang kerana kekuatan bahannya yg pd aku seakan Eat, Pray,Love tp lebih mantap. Jujur aku katakan aku masih ada masalah dgn nama2 watak Hlovate yg agak over tp ditutup oleh kekuatan character watak itu sendiri. Dr segi bahasa pula aku rasa nyaman dgn bahagian tgh2. Sebab bila Creepy Hues berdialog ada masanya aku jd hangin satu badan dek nak Kuala Lumpur sangat.Mungkin sengaja? Ntahlah tp ini bkn novel pertama yg aku rasakan kekurangan tulisan Hlovate adalah dialog campur Mat Saleh - Melayu nya. Other than that? So....5 bintang ;)...more

Terlalu dramatik sampai aku rasa kurang aura positif dlm watak yg aku letakkan sbg pendorong cerita. Apapun...tahniah! Percubaan pertama yg daring tapi bermutu. Bukan kondom strawberry ;)...more

I only needed 4 hours to finish this book. Frankly, the book was quite thin for a hardcover book and the font was big with nice spaces. I consider this book a relief after a heavy reading - both from work and also the romance novels and adults novel that I was trying to finish over the weekend:)
Strangely, even though the book was simple and considered a quicky, I enjoyed it tremendously. Perhaps it was because I was a barista myself or because I was watching 10 Thing I Hate About You and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai while I was watching it, I was not totally sure.
But here to simple books with lots and lots of coffee in it. Lazy weekend would never be too boring:)

I personally felt thSome people wrote reviews on this book and said that this book was better than Something Borrowed. Maybe it did. Maybe it didn't. I personally felt that these two books were actually about morale standings. If you were the type of a person who thought that infedility and loyalty to friendship of a strong believer of BFF - then Something Blue was a better book for you to read.
Well. Let's just express what I thought. I thought that a good friend was supposed to be daring enough to express any wrongs done by a friend. If a friend was drinking before driving, then it would be better for a good friend to send him/her home. Or, made it to the extend by saying, "Hey, don't drink! I don't have a car to send you home!"
So, strong points to Ethan as a friend than Rachel.
In Something Borrowed, I read about indecisive woman who only knew how to listen to a guy that she loved for quite sometime. I mean, he made most of her decisions, in my opinion. In Something Blue, she made hers, stood by her ground and faced reality.
Realistically, I hate bullies. But I was a firm believer of nothing could be so sweet if it was not through a hell of struggle.
Let's toast air tembikai to Darcy!
Though she was not the best heroine ever, she was a lesson to learn:)

I mean, I have not read Book 4, Happy Ever After yet (reading it but have not finished it), so I can tell that I enjoy this book more than the other books.
It's just that I can't help feeling that this book is almost similar with Bed of Roses which is Book 2. From the part where both Emma and Laurel had feelings towards the men they adore for years and let it spill after a moment (with sexual attraction, of course) to the part where they eventually understand each other better (especially each other's job). Naturally, both have this scene of gifts which are related with the girls' job.
The only good part of this book is the involvement of Mrs. G and how independent Laurel character is compared to Emma. And Del seems to be practical - not too nerdy like Carter or too masculine like Jack. He is just fine. Yet he is the richest - so that minus some of my points. I don't like rich heroes.
And if you're expecting that this book will be all about desserts or cakes, you're wrong. It's more into cake decoration and design and this is where Nora Roberts' good spot. She is good in making drool over sexy chracter but not over cakes.
Other than that...the book is fine and is currently leading me to the last book of the Bride Queartet:)
p/s: it was quite disappointing that this book is coming from a different version. I wish I could get the big pages from Berkeley (like the one I had for Book 1 & 2) instead of the normal paperback from Jove something.....more

Because I have read ALL Sarah Addison Allen's books and when you read an authors book, the book will speak to you back. The Peach Keeper was that book. It was a combination of because a fruit is concerned, with touch of coffee and its meaning as one of the main thing in the book.
But it also has the similarity towards where sweet tooth was an adorable character, friendship was beyond boundaries where you could never guessed who was going to be your friend, and a guy didn't have to be good looking and popular for you to admire.
In other words, the imperfection made the book perfect; just like the other books before this.
This book had also made me glued to the sofa and eventually forgotten my dinner. Well, we had one of my favourite dish (asam pedas) but since the book was too hot for me to stop, I ate the "peaches" out of the book first before I enjoyed what was in the precious platter.
It was also a good thing to read about my favourite character called Bay in Garden Spell. It made me wanted to read Garden Spell again. Well, Garden Spell actually brought me towards this high interest. I bought all three of Sarah Addison Allen's books from Kak Ida of BoooksofCharity. When Kak Ida was telling me that it would take some time for the book to reach Malaysia and for it to be sold at a cheaper price, I had actually given up hope.
I went to Kinokuniya several times and was dissapointed with RM99.50 for a price of the hardcover version. But things were redeemed once I surfed Kinokuniya's website again. It was sold at RM31.90 with 20% discount. So, it only cost me around RM25; which was quite cheap.
I started 2 days after buying the book but I managed to finish it in time; and with a smile on my face:)
