This was an amazing story that I thought of as very compelling. It did not take long before I finished it since i just couldn´t bare myself to stop reading. The charachters was easy to like and understand to why they did as they did when everything came around. Michelle Madow was good at mixing the old classics like of course Pride and predjudice with current life. I found myself very irritated with the fact that Lizzie did some very very bad things in my opinion. But that was soon okey, since Lizzie and Drews chemistry was undeniable and too amazing for me to want her to stop seeing him. Love love love this story! It is a really good story and I love that there are several dimensions and the author is really good at describing the scenery. I really get the feel of the different climates in the dimensions.
Willow and Landen are great characters, but sometimes I feel like Willow is a bit distant in her personality and that makes it more difficult to relate to her and get to know her as a character. She is a very strong and independent young woman with an old soul. Landen is so passionate and full of life, love and happiness and he is also very protective of willow. They have such a sweet love for eachother. The only thing I miss in this book is the first phase in their relationship. You know when they first meet and fall in love, I often think that is the best part. But that has allready happen in their dreams outside of this book, so even when they meet for the first time is like they have allways loved each other and are not at all shy or anything like that. But really after a while it does not matter because the storyline is so good!
This story is romantic, exiting, thrilling and sad at times. It is a great combination that will keep you reading untill there is no more. I truly recommend this book because it is awesome!(less)

I really do it is amazing how the author describes love and how we all have soul mates. It is so beautiful. This series is all about true love and how incredible strong it is. Love concurs all and that is very true in this book. Willow and Landen only gets stronger both as individuals and as soul mates in this book but their love will be tested in more ways than one in this book.
Willow and Landen finds out a lot about their past in this book and what their destiny holds in store for them and Willow has a choice to make. Willow and Landen are both very strong characters but even so they can have insecurities and doubts about their role in the world and with each other.
I´m also starting to see Drake in a new light in this book. In insight he was just the bad guy who you really didn´t like, no matter how good looking he is. But in this book you get to know Drake in a way you didn´t before and I just really like the guy and I feel really sorry for him. He really do believe that he and willow belong with each other. I think he is good deep down be the bad circumstances has made him the way he is. I do hope we will get to know him even better in Image and that he will find love and peace at last.
The Author is really good at capturing the different essences of the different dimensions they visit and I feel like I am right there with them. Usually books is about finding love and that first phase but this is story is about a love that have survied centuries and and how that love might possibly save the world one day?

Marinas character was intresting and a mix of a fashionista and really down to earth girl. Coming to high school for senior year is not the easiest thing in the wold, especially if you have been home schooled your entire life. Things start to look up for her though when she meets the hottest guy in school named Ethan.
Ethans charachter is very lovable and ofcourse we fell for him right away. I mean whos doesn't ´t love a well tanned/toned surferboy who also happen to have a great personality. Marinas cousin Cruz takes her under his wing from the very beginning of the story and is a great support for her especially when she is new to town. Cruz charachter was very different from what we have met before in storys and we love that!
The first few pages felt a little slow, but it was absolutely no problem getting into the book. As soon as she came to Aptos the story picked up the pace and started thrilling. The book took turns that we didn´t expect and that was what made it so good. If you like mermaids this is an absolute must read!(less)

My problem with the story was the characters, or mainly the main character. Leann who is the main character in this story really got under my skin in a really bad way! I just didn´t like her at all. If anyone of you have seen hart of dixie, just imagine Lemon in that series in the way she acts and talks. But Leann is way more shallow and self centered, she just keep on telling us how she is the prettiest girl in Dalton! She is also really naive and seems to believe almost everything she is told. So most of the book I was just really irritated with her. The second half of the book she warmed up to me just because I felt kind of sorry for her but at the same time it was kind of her own fault she ends up with the wrong dude.
But besides Leann being a pain in the as, the story was really good. I liked the idea of the story and both the plot and the writing was different. I think this could be a really good story but it is not for everyone. For me, I need to like the person I read about or I will have some trouble, but I am sure not everyone dislike Leann. I will say this, if you can look beyond an annoying main character and the southern accent this is a really good story so give it a chance if you want to. (less)

I was driving my husband crazy with all my reading. I loved the story and the characters. I think Janie is so inspiring in her bravery and she is a really strong young woman. It was really interesting to read about a seeker with cherokee inheritance but I would have loved to know a little bit more about that and why her age changes every fourth year. But other than that this story was very well written exiting to read. Kai is a really interesting character. He is mysterious, cautious and really protective when he cares about someone. It is so cool to read about a demon-vampire hybrid. I love the relationship Kai and Janie develop and it gets even more interesting when an athlete at her school shows an interest in her as well. Janie´s and Kai´s relationship is intense and quite forbidden. This makes it all so much more complicated. And a good story is always complicated. This book had an ending that doesn´t really need a follow up but I think there could be more to this story so I do hope there will be a sequel! This book was really amazing and you should really give it a try! You won´t be sorry I promise.(less)

I loved the character Chloe, she is just so lovable and she is trying so hard to be normal and forget about her past at the nut house, but the voices and her room mate won´t have any of that and I just feel so sorry for her. I also really like Seth, he is so down to earth and exactly what Chloe needs.
This book got me hooked from the very first sentence: " 'The Devil´s best trick is to convince you that he does not exist! Do you hear me brothers and sisters? Do you hear-' Chloe snapped the radio off." I mean, how can you not want to read more after that introduction. This is a great ghost story and it will keep you reading till the very end and wish there was more.
It is exiting, thrilling and really funny at times. I laughed more that once while reading this. It is most definitively worth your time so Please I ask you to give this one a chance, you won´t be disappointed I promise! (less)

Yeah a lot of questions, and you will keep having questions through out this book, some of the really big questions never get answered so it is good that there will be a sequel to this one because otherwise I would be very disappointed. I like the way Duncan describes the surroundings in the book, sometimes I feel like there is to little of that, but not in her book and she does a good job! I just totally love this story with the rebels and the spies and the girl in the middle who just really wants to be left alone and live in peace. Easier said then done like they say. This is a story that will keep you on your toes and will have you guessing during the book. Who is the bad guy in this story? When I read this book I lived in it. I read it on my way to work on the bus and while I walked, while I ate and during my brake. My phone (where I read the book) was glued to my hand!
I love the characters in this book! Riana just wants to be left a lone. to live her life taking care of her sister without any trouble from the government or the rebels. But neither of them will leave her alone. They both wants something from her. She might not realise it but Riana is a really strong young woman who does not brake down easily!
And of course we have a hottie in the story! The soul breather! (I love that concept by the way) If you want do drool, well then you should read this. He acts all though and non caring but deep down he is a softie at least when it comes to Riana. And the chemistry between him and Riana is... wow. Some people just know how to write about that chemistry, that feeling between two people so good that you can see it and feel it like it was happening to you and not the characters in the book and Noel knows what she is doing that is for sure!
We also have the rebel, the long lost friend with the biggest crush ever on Riana! There she is, i the middle by two really different guys! One with eyes only for her and one who always acts for the greater good of others.
The plot is really good and you will keep guessing for a long time in this book. There was no cliff hanger in the end but who needs it after a story that good? I can´t wait for the second book in this series that will be released in December!!!!!!

I have never been much of a gamer and have never really understood how people can get so hooked by it so at first I was a bit hesitant to read a whole book about a game but i was pleasantly surprised. It was awesome. The author was really good at describing the game in way so you got a feeling for it but it didn´t make you want to skip those parts of the book and that is really good. She made the describing of the game fun and interesting. When I read the book it felt like I was in the future but I´m not sure if that is what the Author intended or not. It is so cool how the game is like a bridge between the land of humans and the land of fey.
I really like Jennet and Tam as characters. They feel so real and they actually act their age in a way I sometimes think is missing in YA books. Very often they act like adults but in this book I can buy that they are only teenagers and not adults in the way they act and I like that. This book was really fun and interesting with a bit of romance on the side. It was a great book and I am looking forward to the next part of the story in her upcoming novel.(less)

The way Marina´s life was turned upside down was really intriguing. We really liked the way Derrolyn writes. It is very easy to picture the characters and the places described in the book, except the cement ship, that one we had to google.(less)
This was an amazing read and it was such a close 5 star rating but It wasn't quite that good so I will give it 4.5 stars.
First I need to say that yes part of the book reminded me of twilight. But Poe really made this her own story and even though a few things reminded me of twilight she made it her own abd she did it good! I would say that it can be difficult to write about vampires after twilight since it bacame such a big hit so everyone who have read the books will compare them to other books in the same genre unless you come up with somrthing uniqe.
In a way Poe really did something different with these books!
I love the story between Alex and Salem! They are both intruiging characters and Salem does have that mysterious vibe about him that just makes you love him more! Alex is a strong female but she is not aware of it but when she comes to terms with what she is by blood and when she sort of accept it she aslo finds her strength!
The love story is great but perhaps a little fast in it's pace. Everything happens so quickly. Meeting - falling in love - moving in ...... A little fast but perhaps That was how it had to be for the story!

This book is not about the superficial, not at all. The author does not really tell us much about what the characters look like but you will get a sense of it. This story is about humanity, love, friendship, loyalty and trust. Madeleine is searching for her voice but she is also searching for her humanity and the ability to love and be loved for who she is and not be judged by what she is. All the characters in this book is lovable in some way and at the same time you get really mad at them sometimes. It is hard to decide who is the good one of the guys Will, Jaz and Marcus. I guess they all have their moments and will have your interest till the very end. This story is really beautiful and complex and the ending is unexpected and great and confusing at the same time. I really loved this book and I truly recommend this book with my whole heart! (less)

This was a love story that defied time, space and even death. It was a truly amazing book with a lot of suspense between Becca and Alastor I mean love but without being able to touch each other? That can not be very easy.
I love the character of this book but especially Alastor! Wow I mean he is just..... Well there are no words really, you just have to read and found out for your self. He is captivating all in himself. The difficulties they face with their love is great and it gets a lot more complicated when Alastor gets some competition by a boy that is alive and someone Becca can actually touch. There is a lot of love but also jealousy between them. But the biggest question is: Why is he there exactly?
An awesome book but it was to short, I didn´t want it to end yet and there is much more to this book and it ended really dramatically I think. I get this feeling that the sequel to this book will be completely awesome! I recommend this book to everyone. This is a must read in my list and it is definitely one of the best books I´ve read this year!(less)

When we heard there was going to be a book number four we were ecstatic. The story line was exciting and you never knew what was going to happen. A real nail biter. Marinas "powers" evolve and it makes her very insecure. She constantly wonders weather she is good or bad and if she´s to blame for all the bad things happening around her. Because of these insecurities she keeps a lot of stuff bundled up inside her.
Ethan and Marinas relationship has both ups and downs throughout the book but in the end they decide to take things t0o a new level.
To summon things up this book was amazing, intriguing, funny and exciting and we can strongly recommend it! (less)

Though there is a girl, the romance is not the focus in this book. This book is all about the strange Vampire under the bridge and about friendship and the insecurities of being a teen. Because even boys have them about girls and looks and stuff like that. It was a nice book that I enjoyed reading. Sometimes you really do need to get out of your comfort zone. You might get surprised at what you find between the covers. i would not say go out and buy it right now but it is definitively an enjoyable read.(less)

I really enjoyed reading this second book in the Argetallam Saga. It was a great read and just as intriguing and exciting as the first book in the saga. There is also more romance in this book which I love. This book is filled with exciting mysteries, action, love and a lot of humor and we have the best friend Karile to thank for that.
If you´ve read the first book in this series you know that Janir struggles with her past and the fact that she is an Argetallam and not just that she is the heir and a princess. She is just as insecure and troubled about her heritage in this book as she was in the first one if not more. Karile is the funny best friend who always seems to get himself in trouble and he is just as good at that in this book! Without him there would be no story since he is the one who always gets Janir into trouble. Something happens between Janir and Saoven but noting is said but there is definitely something there. A beginning of something more than friendship.
I loved this book! I was unable to put it down, there is never a dull moment, something exciting is always happening. This book was greatly written and is a must read this year! 4.5 stars should speak for it self, if you do not have this one in your TBR pile then you should add it right now!(less)

It was a long time ago I read a real fantasy book and I can´t recall I have ever read a YA fantasy before! I LOVED THIS ONE! I was completely captured by the content of this book by page ONE. Some how I just think that fantasy should be written in third person. it works better some how and this book is. I usually give books a lower rating if they are written in third person because I like the books better in first person but with fantasy it works and always has for me so it was perfect!
I loved Janir, she is strong without realizing it and she is very brave. And even though she is Argetallam she unbelievably kind and she is ashamed that she is Argetallam and that is something she struggles with. We also get to meet Karile who becomes a good but annoying friend to her. We also get to meet the mysterious elf Saoven who is a person I was curious of the entire story.
This was such a great read with several interesting characters who kept the story intriguing and sometimes funny throughout the book. When I was finished with this I could not wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.
If you want to read a great YA fantasy this year then you have to read this one. It was well written, with both action, humor and a sense of romance that hang in the air. (less)

This book was not all that good.
I will say this. It had potential to be really good but first of I felt like I had read this a hundred times all ready. The story just wasn´t original but it could have been if Hull had worked a little more with the book. When I read this book it felt like watching a movie on fast forward only pausing for regular speed at the key moments of the story and that made it hard for me to actually get a feel for the story and the characters in this book.
When you read a book you want to feel like you are there with the characters, that is what makes a great story. You do not want the story to be like a phone call with your best friend who is telling you the story of her first kiss or something like that. You want to be there in that moment and not hear about it.
In my opinion this book needs a lot more work before it can be truly great. It wasn´t for me but maybe someone else will love this story. Who knows?!(less)
