(and speaking of drag, the parts with the Lady Chablis were my absolute favorites, followed closely by the parts featuring Minerva...) While I do enjoy a vivid description of a people and their culture, these people- these affluent, extravagant, loquacious Savannahians were hard for me to relate to... and yet, it was completely palatable as long as I kept repeating to myself that it was a work of non-fiction.
