Was puzzled why a Vampire and another vampire needed condoms? They are DEAD ! I liked that the two main people really didn't like each other at first and then it led into the romance. 413 pages but they flew as I could not stop reading....more
Well first off like in the book, this actual book it must be magical because I got it from the library and somehow even though I took it to the desk Well first off like in the book, this actual book it must be magical because I got it from the library and somehow even though I took it to the desk to be checked out somehow it is not in my list of books checked out that seems really odd to me considering the amount of time this book describes Libraries and books mysteriously disappearing. This was a LARGE PRINT book thank goodness it made it much easier to read. There is alot of information in this book to absorb, in a good way. The author truly builds a history and provides all kinds of info on Vampires, witches, daemons, and how they have been behind every major historical event throughout the years. Diana Bishop is an historian and has a position at a highly acclaimed college. She is researching and calls a book to be retrieved from the stacks. Apparently this book is a detailed accounting of all the supernaturals origins and they all want it. She however is nonchalant about it, opening the book with ease even though no one else has been able to, this sets off a chain of events, including the avid interest of a vampire named Matthew(and every other supernatural frothing at the bit to get it). Witches and vampires don't mix or do they? Diana's journey as her powers grow and becomes stronger really interested me, I also loved how romantic they were together. Also the members of Matthew's family and Diana's were strong characters. The book really picked up for me in the last half, it was magical, romantic, had action, and I was interested in the other characters in the book, was thinking Matthew's son Marcus may have a romance in next book... What was set up at the end of this book had me wanting more, can't wait to read the next one!
