Yes! lol This was a lovely little romance of a Highlander and a Princess on the run. So the quick of it is that Princess Mercedes found herself in a nightmare. She was heading home when her coach was stopped and all of her companions killed. She was able to make her escape and found herself at a small pub in desperate need of help which was found in the form of a Highlander who became her champion.
I loved the set up. I fell for Daniel almost instantly. When Mercedes landed at the pub and asked for help nearly everyone laughed at her because really a Princess? She must be mad. They were about to throw her out and Daniel stepped in and made sure she had a place to sleep, food, and new clothes provided. He didn't believe she was a Princess either but she was in need and he wanted to see her safe and cared for. I mean. I was like *swoon* lol Their journey of getting her from Scotland to London and her friends was entertaining. The romance slowly brewing, the friendship, potential danger as those who were out for her tracked her down again. They were likable characters and I just enjoyed their journey--both the physical and emotional ones. Warren effortlessly captivates and draws you into a wonderful world of love, romance, and adventure. I'll definitely be reading more from the series!
Narration: This was my first time listening to Justine Eyre. In the end I enjoyed her narration but it did take some getting used to. I know it's a weird thing to be bothered by but when she did breathless or whispering type moments it just drove me crazy. I liked her female voices, though, and her male voices grew on me rather quickly. She had a nice pace and pulled me into the story. It typically takes me a good two weeks for each audiobook since I do them on the side but I finished this one in a week and I do think her narration played a part in that. And I did get another of her narrations right after finishing. So breathless whispery moments aside...not bad.

There were a few spots that had my crinkling my eyebrows but overall it was a solid story that kept me curious about the truth behind the mystery and wondering what had really happened. I'd be thrilled to see the series pick up again. Wishful thinking maybe but I'd love more time with Aurora and Robin. Full review to come.
7/25-- omg omg omg it's in my greedy little hands. So freaking excited about this!...more

She's blunt and has a bit of a give no fucks attitude but she cares for those people who are in her circle and for finding the truth. The mystery was decent and while not too difficult to figure things out it was still fun watching it all piece together. On the romance front a few past love interests make appearances but nothing happens. Just passing story points/characters. Maybe in the future...
I enjoyed the audio. It was a long one but kept me entertained while cleaning and playing candy crush. lol I usually listen at 1.25 speed but listened to this one at regular tempo. The narrator has a bit of a gruff voice but it suits Kinsey's attitude/personality so that worked well. I'd listen to her again....more
