But after reading page to page, I discovered that the book was actually fantastic. Honestly, this book was the first Nicholas Sparks book that I've read. And I can say that he didn't fail me at all, he has proven that his stories are beyond wonderful. Dawson Cole was the main character, and the most beautiful character for me. He was real, passionate and kindhearted. He gave everything to the people he cared for, to the people he loved dearly. He gave the best of him, to Amanda Collier, his first, last and only love of his life. The thing about Dawson was he never fail to impress me. Even at forty plus old, he still seemed fresh to me. Though I am a teen, I still comprehend his actions and feelings. Dawson died in the end, and his heart was given to Amanda's son who was about to die too if he wasn't given a heart transplant. Everything was because of Dawson, he was the reason why two person, who should have died, lived. He was the perfect example that everyone should follow. He was a role model that is very ideal. The book showed me a lot of things, it helped me realize that life is short and decisions should be thought over and over to prevent mistakes. The are still people who find there true love, and they will forever hold to them, even if there are consequences. And that the concern for your child will always prevail. The Best of Me had become my favorite. And I convince everyone to read it. You'd surely enjoy it even though I found it boring at first. Just continue to read it and you'd see the beauty and moral lesson in the book that you can apply in your own lives. Thanks for reading my review.(less)

I bought it at a book sale for only a hundred peso and I can say that it was worth it! There are two main characters in the story. One was Bennie Rosato and the other was Alice Conelly. They are identical twins. Bennie was the good guy and Alice was the bad. I really like Alice more because she is smart and cannot be fooled easily. In the other hand, Bennie has the driven personality who concentrates mainly on her profession. This story went on very creatively. I love the author's style and how she places the characters in the perfect time and venue. I admire the fact that when she writes, the readers' imagination flies to another place. Bennie and Alice's personalities are common to people. However, I find it pretty memorable. It's because it's realistic, and that makes it striking. I do recommend this book for readers because THINK TWICE kept me awake late in the night.(less)

The author failed to connect all the dots in the end, which I am not impressed at all. The book is kinda like a diary of a girl named Samantha. Samantha was ashamed and mad of his alcoholic dad and he just wanted him to stop drinking. His dad promised him (for so many times) that he'd stop but he never had. And because of him being drunk, he accidentally hit his 3 year old son with some glass, on his son's innocent face. That was the reason why Sam was even more mad at his father. Sam was also having a hard time to cope at school. She wasn't bullied yet jocks and the populars keeps talking at her back. She was also voted for 'best boobs' among the rest of the kids in their grade! She also had a crush on a jock at the library who ended up kissing her. He asked her to go to a house party with him. She drank some wine which made her drunk, and she was unconscious that the jock guy was about to have sex with her. But before that, Sam protested that she's just thirteen and shouldn't be sleeping with anyone. The jock guy was shocked and left her afterward. And I forgot to mention that Sam was exchanging notes with a person she didn't know at the library. She was asking advice from him/her all the time. Weeks later, they came by knowing each other. The story ended in driving scene to his father that I really didn't comprehend. That's why I didn't like it. Nor hate it. I just feel that there should be a better and more memorable ending.

It's nice though, I'm having fun reading journals and diaries of teenage girls. Gert Garibaldi's character is cool even if she rants a lot, I love ranting as well. I also adore her personality, the wallflower kinda type. At first, I find the book quite boring. There was a time that I actually tried to quit reading it because of its dullness but I still pursue reading it even so. The last part was kinda interesting, yet I wont tell you what actually happened. There's nothing special in Gert's life. She's like everyone of us, mediocre and ordinary. That's what I like about the story, it's real. It happens to everyone. The funny thing was, she's kinda pervert, I don't know. She wants to know more...about sex and erection and orgasm that I really don't like to talk about. But the story was really hilarious and fun to read at the same time. Yes, the book was awesome and I suggest you all to read it, it's an adventure to a teenager's life.(less)

I read it for two days since I felt compelled to the book, especially to the character. The protagonist is named Gretchen Yee, she’s like a wallflower. And like me, she’s an artist, a good one. In a dream (or something), she magically became a fly stuck inside the boys’ locker room because she wished for it. She desired to actually see and hear what the boys are talking about. After several days of intense looking and listening, she actually learned about a lot of things, figured out what’s really happening in a boys’ life. She unlocked secrets that aren’t really for her to know. She’s more knowledgeable now that she knew the things that some boys keep. But finally she was turned into human again, and thankfully, she’s been appreciating everything in her life. Fly on the Wall by E. Lockhart is a good book for people who think they’re useless in this world, for those who are looking for their worth and continuously finding who’s right for them. My only critique for this book is that there was no closure for some of the characters. I was a little bit disappointed because I didn’t find what I am looking for. But overall, I think the book is good and I can’t wait to read other books similar to this. 4 stars for this book! HOORAY! (less)

I really didn't get the meaning of the ending of the story, which disappoints me a lot. Because I believe that the end is the MOST essential part of the story. If the ending is boring and incomplete, the readers will have less interest on it. At the end, I didn't find what I was looking for, I didn't find the twist that connects all the characters and happenings in the story. My friend said that the story's great, but I disagreed. It's rather hard to comprehend, and that's isn't just an understatement. I really wished that the story could be improved to something more truthful, I also hope that it'll become more complete so that the readers will love it more. Sorry.(less)

Now, the story. Well, unlike other young adult books, this one is emotional. Read the synopsis and you'd probably get the entire story. The story focuses on the girl side, which is my favorite, considering I am a girl (haha!). Anyway, the story is about Valerie's life before, during and after the shooting of the school by Nick Levil, his boyfriend. I don't want to give out spoilers so I suggest you guys to read it!
Overall, I am happy I purchased and read this book, it was worth it!(less)

It was thick, which I really like and I just bought it for 95 pesos. Can you believe that? And it was brand new with plastic all over it. That's the reason why I love BOOKSALES! Well, I've gotta get on with the story. I started with a reporter named Ellen Gleeson. She was a single woman with an adopted son named Will. But one day, she found a white cared in her mail which says that a kid was missing, and the kid looks exactly like Will. After that incident, she starts digging for clues and evidences that proves that Will is hers. Her adoption was legal anyway. But the more deeper she digs, the more it became clearer to her. Will is actually kidnapped by some kidnapper who asked ransom from Will's parents. The ransom came, but Will wasn't returned. Will was given to the kidnapper's girlfriend who likes kids. But Will ended up having heart problems so she was forced to leave him to the hospital. And that is where Ellen saw him. And she arranged his adoption papers right away. Will became hers, and she became his legal mother. Unfortunately, Will wasn't really hers, because he belonged to his biological parents, the Bravermans. Ellen was forced to give his child up to his real parents who was looking for him for years, even if it's against her will. But she decided to clear things up first, test some DNAs and all. But before knowing the results, the ruthless kidnapper decided to show up in her house, attempting to kill Will if she didn't shut up. But then, Will's biological mother knocks at the door, Ellen answers it, shocked. His mother became violent and ended up going inside her house, she saw Will, along with the kidnapper who she'd knew all along. Ellen heard from their conversation that the kidnapping was actually planned, but didn't end up well. After that, the kidnapper shot the mother. And because of extreme adrenaline, Ellen shot the kidnapper as well. Leaving the two survivors, Ellen and Will. Will was greatly injured and by the time he was at the hospital, his biological dad came and insisted to take will. In the morning, they got Will. Ellen was beyond depressed, but she had to accept the fact that Will is no longer hers. But a shocking email came to her sight, it said that Will and her mom's DNA matched, but it didn't with his father's. Which means that Will and his dad aren't really related. His mom probably slept with the kidnapper and told his husband that Will's their child. And for that cause, Ellan was able to keep Will. Even if the story is kind of predictable, it still impressed me. I liked where the story went. I love the twists and turns and the expressions that the characters acted out. The story will truly be marked in my mind because it was truthful and real. It was extremely marvelous and readers will absolutely like it as well. I was thrilled I just purchased the book for only a 95 pesos! That was worth it!(less)

I was actually expecting for more because a friend of mine told me that the book was worth crying, I thought otherwise. The book was sweet, uplifting and all, but it wasn’t really enough. Also, it didn’t reach my expectations. The story was about forgiveness, Miles forgave Sarah’s brother, Brian, for having a car accident that killed Miles’ wife, Sarah. I just stated the entire story in one sentence. As I told you. It wasn’t anything exciting or interesting. I can also say that it was a little bit dull and boring so I really won’t recommend this book to other readers. To tell you the truth, as I was about to finish the book, I felt a little bit unsure if it was really over. So I was thinking if a page is lacking or something. Really. I really think that the book needs some extensions or something because it’s really not good. Don’t get me wrong, I love N. Sparks’ books, but this book is just plain and ordinary. Two Stars for this book. (less)
