Always solid story lines, characterizations, and conclusions. This is an author that no matter how long or short the story, complete satisfaction is yours at the conclusion.
Bewitched is a sweet, charming, and fun story set in Salem, MA with the witches history through out the story.
Madison and Andrew were adorable and fun. Some surprises at the end, and a promise from the author that there will be more. Love that because this was a short story you did not want to end. There were enough tid bits to leave you wondering about these two.
As always, Daisy Prescott leaves you smiling and always wanting more. ...more

We met Jake Becker in book 1, Overruled which I loved and am seriously in love with Stanton Shaw.
Bits and pieces of Jake, our smexy and salty man was all we saw, but enough to make me curious about him.
Well curiosity killed this puss puss because I am in love with Jake Becker now. Is that possible?
It sure is if Emma Chase creates our men.
Once again we are gifted with a fabulous male voice as the POV, we know Emma Chase kicks ass when it comes to the voices. A good story line. Lot's of humor. Romance. Heart tugging scenarios. Serious sex appeal. Great chemistry.
A win win story that will leave you grinning like a goon, and head over heels in love with Jake Becker!...more

I have such a love for Daisy Prescott's story telling that when this box set was released, I bought it. Even though I had already read Ready To Fall and Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat.
Knowing there was a little short story thrown in there, it was no a brainer for me, I was getting it.
I loved the Modern Love series. Every one of them. Great stories, great characters, completely invested in all of them. And so well written, you don't even have to read them in order, I didn't. I didn't realize it at first, but once I did, I read them all, two actually in one week.
And knowing there is a new Modern Love short coming in July, well as far as I am concerned, Daisy loves her readers!
Now, Take the Cake and Run is a great little short story. Who doesn't love John Day?? Seriously, it's impossible not too. So to have this bonus, it's just icing on the cake (pun intended).
Go get this box set, John Day and Tom Cat in one set, plus the bonus John and Diane story? It's a win win you can't beat! ...more

Sweet, humorous, 1st love story bursting with teenage hormones!!!
Amanda Black writes with her heart. You can always feel the love she pours in to her characters and her words just wrap around you like an old comfy blanket.
This isn't going to be a long review, because it doesn't need to be.
The Single Game is YA at it's finest.
Eden is the new girl, recently located to Aledo from Chicago. She's devastated and let's her parents know this. But...not so devastated after learning her boyfriend cheated on her with her best friend.
Logan is shy, sweet, kind and just the epitome of what you want in a boyfriend.
They meet through their mutual friends and the sparks are there, but both are hesitant, until one night they all play the single game, a much more fun version of spin the bottle.
Naturally their friends make sure they have chosen each other, and soon after, they start dating.
Their relationship was sweet, slow moving, filled with sexual tension, and lots of romance.
What's not to like? No heavy drama. No crazy situations trying to force them apart.
Just an easy fun read filled with warmth, romance, love, and sexy smutty times.
Amanda Black hit's it out of the park again with her newest story leaving you with lasting smiles and fun times.
This is an author I will fangirl forever!!

Oh my goodness how I loved this story! It hurt but it was so worth my breaking heart for Mateo and Vera.“You’re breaking me. And I’m already broken.”
Oh my goodness how I loved this story! It hurt but it was so worth my breaking heart for Mateo and Vera.
And Mateo's voice...I now understand the adjectives associated with voices...silk, velvet, smooth, envelops you...because I felt it with his every word. I could hear his every word.
“You are my everything,” I say, lips moving against hers. “I’ve said it before and I will say it again, and I’ll go to my grave saying it. You are my star, my light, my love. And it doesn’t matter if you believe in it or not because it is the truth and the truth always finds a way to shine.”
Seriously one of the most beautiful and painful story I've read this year.

When I met Jay in Freeing Asia, I was instantly smitten. After reading Breaking Shaun, I was in love and wanted more.
I knew there was so much more to Jay, his story just begged to be told.
E.M. Abel delivered Jay to us in her own unique writing style way....signed, sealed, and tied up beautifully in a white cotton bath robe belt. *snicker snicker*
Jade and Jay were so endearing that their story was the perfect conclusion to the series. It was impossible not to love them both, for very different reasons.
Both broken from very different pasts, but it is their pain that gave them a link to connect on a level that made their chemistry so believable and sizzling. And when I say sizzling, I mean uber sizzling!
And as much as I loved the sizzle, it was the careful build up of their friendship and trust that I fell head over heals for.
Written with such an easy flow, you find yourself completely immersed in the story and feeling their every emotion.
I think everyone loved Jay in the series. His cockiness, swagger, bravado. A man's man. An alpha through and though. But distant. In Freeing Asia and Breaking Shaun, you could see the wall he has around his emotions with just peaks in the cracks here and there. A deep seeded hurt your not quite sure where it rooted from, but it's palpable.
Jade was much more transparent. A broken relationship filled with hurt and betrayal causes her to make the move and start her life over. A new shop built with some really good friends as well as a determination not to allow the past to drag her down. She was more an optimist in her attitude towards love, but even in her openness, she still held a piece of her heart close. Broken trust is tough one to let go of.
Once they finally accept the draw to one another, it's total passion and heat, with a nice side of some kinkery. Once they come together emotionally and start bringing down their walls, it was perfection.
The chemistry was just a huge wow and you feel every feeling they are having with low drama and angst. E.M Abel wrote such a good story with fantastic main characters and great secondary characters, the story just flowed. No unnecessary filling needed.
I loved the entire series. The stories were great, lots of romance, emotion, fun, and humor through out.
Saving Jay was my favorite and a perfect conclusion over all.
E.M Abel is my new favorite author and I am truly looking forward to more from her.

J.A. Huss is a mad scientist obviously because this story line was so twisty and curvy, I didn't know who or what to believe...until the very end.
I loved how the characters from the Rook and Ronin series were tied in. I loved Ford made another appearance. And I totally loved Sasha!!
I am itching to find out more about Merc now and most definitely Sasha. The 2nd epi was a jaw dropper.
I am going to leave it at this...if you love dark and twisty. If you love epic story lines. If you are a fan of J.A. Huss, then you need to read the entire Dirty, Dark, and Deadly series, because OMG twists galore!! ...more
