T.M Franklin obviously knows and respects her readers. There is nothing better than a series where the books can stand on their own where you are satisfied with the ending or you can continue because you want more. This is an author that get's that.

I think it was a tad bit better than book 1, Follow only because the "J.A Huss Twist" is starting to form and take shape. And I love that about this author's stories. Never what you quite expect even when you think you just picked up a naughty novella.

Follow was no exception and boy was I stunned. And as always with this fabulous author, a real what the f***k is going on here! She loves her twists and turns and so do I!
I innocently thought I was going to read a smexy novella, something I like to do in between other reads, but nooooo, J.A Huss does not know the concept of the in and out for smexiness. Nope, she went and created a completely amusing and totally original story line, packed with smexy, sexy, and down right blushable situations.
“Good, girl. Not get on your knees so I can stuff my cock down your throat and make you choke on my come.”
Seriously hot scenes that will have you doing the squirmy dance in your seat.
And the story. Come on, a dirty tweeter, a hot movie star, an amazing private island, contracts, agreements, fights, sex, family, disillusion, and dirty talk to the max!! Doesn't get better than that.
The the twist. Because it wouldn't be a J.A Huss story without one I have quickly come to learn.
It's a great twist with our dirty tweeter bailing on the movie star and the movie star just not going for that. You need to really read this!
And the cover...Steve Boyd...HOLY S M O K E S !!!
Now, this is a novella series. There are five books that will be released every two weeks so there is no real waiting to find out what happens. How the stories are being released, and the concept is explained in the EOBS, you know, "End Of Book Shit" as J.A so lovingly and amusingly puts it. Definitely read it, truly as entertaining as her stories.
What can I say, I am completely addicted to this author's writing.
Hello, my name is Annmarie, and I am J.A.Huss-aholic...

I love hearing and reading about actual events and people, then googling to find out more when something has piqued my curiosity.
Not knowing the author, or anything he has written, Crosswinds was one of those stories that had me a little curious. The summary of the story doesn't give much information except that there is a meeting and apparently a conversation that takes place between Jack and Bobby, our characters.
Can an entire story be based upon a conversation between two people only? Can it hold my interest? Will I be invested? Am I going to care about the characters?
The answer is yes on all points.
Crosswinds is multiple stories within a story. Stories of a life's journey that has guided your path. Stories that hopefully one has seen the "signs" in their journey and has readily embraced and understood the "crosswinds" that occur in everyone's journey. Stories that this is your life and you only have one to live, don't waste it.
The story line in itself was simplistic. Bobby is a young sailor on his way to his first station when he is stranded in the airport during a storm. After sitting at the gate for 2 hours, bored out of his mind, and dying for a smoke, he ventures in to the airport bar to see if he can grub a cigarette. He spots Jack, an older man sitting at the bar.
This is where the story begins.
Jack happily obliges, offers Bobby the cigarette, and asks him if he believes in God. Definitely not the question Bobby was expecting nor really wants to talk about. But he sits down, and the two men start talking in general. Jack sensing Bobby is broke, as most young military men are, offers him a drink and food, knowing himself as a former sailor what it's like. Bobby accepts the random act of kindness, and again the conversation between the men continues.
The author's writing was flawless. Every story Jack told about himself easily was a segue way back in to the conversation leaving you thinking and wondering. Bobby was mesmerized and curious, as was I. Bobby also had doubts and questions which made for even more interesting conversations.
Jack's reason, his hope was to impart some wisdom on the younger man, to let him know it's OK when a crosswind occurs and that hopefully Bobby would embrace them, understand them, and learn fate is real and things happen for a reason.
The story ends with the men parting the next day after spending the evening in the airport and finally catching their flights and Bobby making a phone call I know I had hoped he would, but will have to wait for book 2 to see what happens.
Now this is a series, but the author ended the story in a way that you would be satisfied or you would want to continue. I love that. I am not a fan of series that "forces" you to continue. If I continue, it's because I want too. And I definitely want to!
I completely enjoyed this story. All the stories within the story had me intrigued and curious. Jack's life journey was a story of spirituality, and not of the overtly religious kind, but one of understanding why things happen, and there is always a reason when you are blown off course. The spirituality is one where you either except or you don't. Whether you understand or you don't.
Fascination is definitely a defining word for Jack. I was left with the understanding that maybe a different way of looking at occurrences can be good, that there is always a reason why things happen, even bad things have a reason and purpose.
Crosswinds is why I love to read and why it is one of my 2014 favorite reads.

Welcome to my world of authors I love so much, I stalk relentlessly. I watch all posts, tweets, and new stories. Authors are my rock stars and you are my newest star. That feeling you might have of being watched, no worries, it's only me. You'll get used to it.
It's your own fault.
You wrote a story that had my head spinning, my belly churning, and my heart pounding over the underlying angst the characters exhibited at every turn. You gave new meaning to good vs evil. A decidedly sensual and erotic relationship that stirred my own passions and kept me thinking about your characters for days after finishing the story. All of that combined with a very well written, amazingly flowing story line, coupled with full on characterizations.
The eroticism was sizzling without crossing boundaries that make me close my eyes and not one drop of gratuitous sex as filler could be found in a single chapter. The sex became a necessary part of the story line showing a growth in the emotions of the characters. It drove the story.
Obsessed, yes. Again, your own fault.
The brokenness of Eric and Emma was heartbreaking.
Eric dealing with a destructive and abusive addiction.
Emma dealing with abandonment of the worst kind.
Their attraction was immediate and permanent. An exercise in good vs evil, both knowing the path they were heading was not healthy, but needed for their own sanity.
A need so great they both ignored the repercussions that were bound to happen.
And though there were some interesting secondary characters, I was completely mesmerized by Eric and Emma that everything around them faded away until it was only the two of them.
Their imperfections healed them in a way I could never imagine. I actually did a little cheer when they finally finally finally came together in a healthy way knowing they would make it.
The suspense and trepidation that continued just had me spinning at every page wondering what next could possibly happen to these two.
Fabulous debut, I am in awe. Truly in awe of your ability to deliver on angst and not poof it all away that so many other supposed angst stories do. You peeled it away layer by layer leaving the characters to the bare bone and then soothed step by step until I personally was smiling again.
The Righteous and the Wicked is why I love to read and why it is one of my 2014 favorite reads.

Adorable, engaging, realistic, heartwarming. There was not one thing that happened that I didn't love. And that is a rarity for me, I am not a fan of YA. I am just to old to get on board with teenage angst, over the top drama, situations beyond youth reality, and the dreaded "misunderstanding" story line. I always find myself thinking, in what reality do theses things happen. Certainly not mine.
How to Get Ainsley Bishop to Fall in Love With You was a story of teenagers I could relate too. The antics, situations, loves, frustrations, and hurt were realistic. The friends, family, interactions and behaviors, this was high school that I remembered. Just day to day hopes, dreams, failures, and loves.
The secondary charters were a huge wow for me too! I love when they are written with as much love and care as the main characters. Nothing drives and supports a story like well written secondary characters.
So what's the story and why am I raving like this?
Oliver is a 17 yr old geeky boy who has been in love with Ainsley forever. They've known each other from grade school and have some interaction, but are not really friends. But to Oliver, Aisnley is the epitome of perfection and he has decided he going to get her to fall in love with him.
And how does Oliver go about that? With his "How to Get Ainsley Bishop to Fall in Love With You" list.
You see, Oliver is a very methodical type of kid. Everything he does he does with a list so he can check off items all the while seeing his goal closer and closer with every check off.
I loved Oliver. Quirky, super smart, kind, a good friend. Everyone knew an Oliver in HS.
Then we have Viney, Oliver's best friend and cohort in the lists and life in general. Viney is a great secondary character and plays off of Oliver spectacularly! Their banter is hysterical as is their friendship. It just makes sense.
There is Ainsley. She's pretty, popular, a nice person, but not written in a way where she is ridiculously unattainable. Kudos to T.M. Franklin for writing another believable character and not the typified cheerleader type out of everyone grasp.
I could go on forever about all the characters. They were all superbly written and not a single one of them perfect. Very flesh and blood real with quirks, issues, and problems. But nothing overtly over the top to drag the story under with. Everyone blended so well making the story just so believable.
The story line too. Though simplistic, there is a ton of humor, a lot silly antics, and a good dose of angst and tears.
L O V E D I T !!!
Such a good story! Amazing flow, characters that were completely engaging, a simple story line that carried chapter after chapter with no lull or hiccups.
T.M. Franklin's writing is magical. I was completely carried away and felt like I was there in the story watching everything unfold. Amazing color and texture with every word! Just good honest to goodness story telling!
I am still bubbling over the excitement the story made me feel.
How to Get Ainsley Bishop to Fall in Love With You is why I love to read and why it is one of my 2014 favorite reads.
