This novella leaves no doubt that Pepper Espinoza is an exceptional author. The story is so well told and visually stimulating that you feel as though you are there watching as the plot unfolds and feeling the emotions as they do. There were times that I wanted to throw the book across the room but I literally could not put it down. The plot is not only unusual, amusing, but it’s captivating as well.
I really do highly recommend this for those smut lovers too! This story and the sequel to it are amazing. The characters are anything but perfect and there really are times that I hate them but because of their imperfections you can't help but love them....more

She has a habit of whining but the author balanced this perfectly by making it a character flaw that helps you relate rather than be annoyed. She does have a tendency of coming off as the stereo typical hussy but you can’t help but root for her because she is the average woman with insecurities, fears, and dreams. Avery is every woman’s and some men’s dream come true, tall, dark, handsome, alpha, and yet oddly enough shy. The combination is captivating and lovable. Despite his past and the things he has done/gone through, he comes across as rather innocent which is adorable. The chemistry between the two is hot and explosive making you fan yourself as your body heat rises.
The plot is steady, action packed, and pretty good but it did leave me feeling that there was too much set up for the next book and not enough in this one. In my opinion the storyline lacked dimension, there were details that should have been addressed more and weren’t but the book does end with a cliffhanger so this may be to build us up for the next book. It worked because I want to know the answers to my questions and can’t wait to see what more this author has in store for us. ...more

It’s their first Christmas together, a time of celebrating and stress. Christmas is a time when present and past collide. The outcome is what will decide the future.
I begged for this book on my knees, there are red marks to prove it. I am so glad that I did, not disappointed at all. Once again Pepper Espinoza proves what an amazing author she is. Everything just seemed to fall together from plot, execution, character draw, character chemistry, pace to visual details. This story is short but if anything I loved it more than the first.
It’s not a stand alone that can be read separately but there is such a deeper look at the emotions of the characters this time around. It was very satisfying. I went from not knowing if I even liked the characters to being completely in love with them. The author wrote this out so well because it became about showing that they are meant to be together, that they are all better people because of each other. This wasn’t the actual plot but more like a movement going on in the backdrop that slowly seduced.

Some years later she gets a second chance when an accident leads her into the body of an OD victim. This time around things have to end better, don’t they?
To say that I loved this story is putting it mildly. When I was sent the blurb to this book, I was immediately intrigued because I haven’t seen a plot like this ever before and frankly, with the way I read, that about never happens. I found that not only was the plot unique, the characters interesting, but the writing style was absolutely enamoring. The author jumps you back and forth between characters, giving you a well rounded story but it’s done so seamlessly that never once did it come across choppy. As if all that wasn’t enough, the emotional connection between the characters completely got to me and oh wow the sex scenes.
