The Plot - This is the second book, so the plot is better and has more to it. Is like this. This super-duper singer has like days to live and she sold her soul for fame and fortune. What’s the biggy? When she dies her soul will end up with this creepy alien or something and she will suffer for like eternity. Soooo, K&N are off to the rescue. That’s a cool and creepy plot. Me like it.
The Characters - We meet this uber ripper. She is really cool and is like a rock star of the rippers. Nash, K, Todd and the other are in there too. K is not yet what once she was, but I keep my hopes up for it.
The Writing - I really like the writing. She has a really good way of telling a story and is enjoyable to read her stuff. First peeps narrative and it follows the first book without any major lapse of time. Really cool.
The Audiobook Recording - Me like it.
Considerations- There’s a lot of longing and eye humping around K&N, and it gets a little tiresome to read about how Nash is hot and perfect and K is like the average and blablabla. I couth myself rolling my eyes around this parts. It was like, get a room already and get it over with. But there were very cool parts. We learn much more about the netherworld (I probably spell it wrong). We see creepier characters and the plot get a lot deeper than in the first one. Some things are a little too obvious, but maybe it’s because I’m too smart. LoL
Or maybe not. LoL
So, the story gets really exciting and our loving trio makes some really hard decisions. The best part was to find out that K is not the lovely girl and she actually has a dark side. She can be evil and I was not stuck in a parallel universe where everybody loves K and she loves everyone back. This was really relieving to know. I have hopes for the next books in this series cose this has a lot of potential.
This reading is part of the following reading challenges:
Wow,, this is what I call a bloody great book,,,,LoL
This is the perfect book for Halloween, hands down.
Ode to Anna.

Ode to Anna.
Her eyes are like dark pools that stare back at you Her long flowing black hair sure is something to see too She is deathly beautiful and had her life tragically stole away If you stood close enough you would feel the smell of decay But you still will be drawn to her and will find your end An end so terrible and of witch you can not fend The sigh of her will leave you instantly out of breath Because looking at her is like looking straight into death She will tear you apart and the last thing you will see is the flood All the red that makes her who she is, Anna Dressed in Blood.
I wish I was a better poet, but at least I tried :P
Ok, lets get this review started, shall we?
The Plot - It's really original although it kind of reminded me of Supernatural in some ways. Nevertheless, it has a new perspective on the whole ghost buster scenery.
The Characters - Cas is so cute and I could feel him. I shutter with his nightmares and smiled with his awkward conversations. Carmel is strong and much more then a cheerleader. Thomas is a nerd, but, just like the other characters, he is more then miss the eyes. Anna, she is my favorite. She killed countless innocents and I still love her, that is quite disturbing to confess.
The Writing - It's from Cas' perspective and it's interesting to see things from the guy's perspective for a change. It's not that descriptive, but I don't like to stall in little details so I'm cool with that. This author is a poet, I really like her writing and the fact that one thing is perfectly connected to another. There's not a dull moment in the whole story. She has a really nice flow in her writing.
Considerations - Once I've read that the key for a great story was having ordinary people doing extraordinary things and extraordinary people doing ordinary things. In this book I see it and I believe that it's one of the things that made me love this book so much. Cas and Anna are surrounded be the supernatural and yet they find some shred of normality. Carmel and Thomas are ordinary people having to deal with extraordinary changes in their lives. It's the adversities that makes you the person you are. I love that even though they were in school this was like a background on the story. Anna's house and the stuff that she pulls on Cas are breath taken. I'm still dazed with how visual this book is and I can say that this book is not for teens. I had nightmares reading it. I wish I could say more, but the beauty of this book are in the suspense and if I say too much it will ruin it for those that haven't read it yet.
So I'm just going to say: This book is trilling, spooky, warm, funny, cold and extremely powerful. All at the same time.

Why Can't I be a good girl that sees the wicked ways and wish for a happy ending where the bad people get what they deserve? Why must I feel for those who hurt and prey on the innocent with no regret what so ever? I didn't chose to read this book, it chose me and I can't say how or why. Fate brought it in to my way and I fell in its trap like a moth into the flame.
The plot - A girl (Laura) is lonely and longs for a company to talk and be friends with. Then comes Carmilla and she is just such a lovely and enchanted girl that everyone simply falls for her. But behind her perfect veneer is a terrifying and brutal secret. It's a plot full of mystery and very well developed. It reminded me in a few points of Dracula, but not that much.
The Characters - Laura is the innocent and lovable girl, but there is not much that shows about what she feels. She loves her father and got swept of her feet for this stranger that enters her life. Carmilla on the other hand is portrayed as this tridimensional character that feels intensely everything around her and have many mood swings.
The writing - This book is from 1872, but I found the writing so incredibly forward and easy to get lost in it. It's description was so vivid that for many times I catch my self gasping and holding my breath for what it would come next. The images were very well burn into my mind and if I close my eyes I can still see the blood drenching the white fabric and around her neck.
Considerations - Although I really liked this book, I must say that I'm not so sure about the ending of it. It felt as if it was rushed and didn't fit whit the rest of the story. Well, this is as much I can say without giving away the story.
The audio book recording (librivox.com)- The reading was so smooth and really nice to listen to. The intonation of the voice and the interpretation of the text were really good. I believe that it made all the difference in my opinion of the book.
I recommend this to all people that likes vampire stories, classical vampire stories. ...more
