"My thong." I looked up at him. "You were right ; it's totally uncomfortable. Awesome for first-aid though." The corners of T.J.'s mouth turned up slighty. He looked at me, his brown eyes showing a trance of the spark that had been missing the night before. "It'll make for a funny story someday," I said. "You know what, Anna? It's kinda funny now.”...more
I’m quite unimpressed with this story, although it goes with the almost “classical” whore-royalty path it ends up being as if the relationship is forced and fake.
Max is the duke of Pelham, after having his heart broken over the eyes of a manipulative lover he is determined to focus himself in managing his vast wealth.
Tristan Walsh is a beautiful prostitute, after gambling more than he owns he finds himself working at Rubicon’s.
When Max’s eye connect with Tristan’s there is instant attraction, but not the kind someone would expect from a prostitute but the kind that defines true lovers. There is no escaping their infatuation with each other, and when they are apart they fantasize of being together.
Their love making is HOT! The dirty talk AMAZING! And the kink enough to make it SPICY.
But… Yes, there is a but….I was expecting a kind of headache and pain a romance novel includes but Tristan’s decision left me speechless. The managing of their situation from that point onward made me conclude that this man will remain in his heart forever a prostitute no matter what everyone around him say, and that in my opinion is very very sad....more
This is the second book I read by this author and I must admit that I love her work; she manages to portrait the Scottish country with so many colors, the emotions of her characters with so much agony and happiness, she can create such a distinct pattern of characters and such beautiful dialogues.
Lady Caroline is a woman of the English aristocracy running from her half-brother who wants to marry her off, she is a fearless woman who doesn’t care about the luxuries of the life she used to have in order to gain the freedom to live her life as she wish it.
Alec the earl of Glenlorne is reluctant to go to Scotland to obtain his lands and the lives of his people out of fear of disappointing them. Poverty for his people and his family is what makes Him to agree to a marriage of convenience.
Add to the mix two very determined ghosts, two lovers who were denied their chance of happiness must return and join their forces to break the curse that destroys both their descendants.
This was a very sweet book with a HEA worth for both of the main characters....more
I've been quite engrossed with this series the whole weekend, I devoured three books in three days,I've just finished and already I miss the characters terribly, let me explain why...
Beguiling the Beauty (book 1 in the Fitzhugh trilogy)
In this book we meet the Fitzugh's and their friends. The main couple is the beauty Venetia Fitzhugh, her very wealthy Duke of Lexington and the many misunderstandings they come across.
Is the beauty enough to win prejudice and can prejudice be overcome by the simple truth?
Although the storyline is quite simple, we get to meet all the side characters and learn bit by bit their lives.
Ravishing the Heiress (book 2 in the Fitzhugh trilogy)
The main issue of book two of this trilogy is the marriage of convenience.
When we met Fitz and Millie in the first book I though that there is another couple in an arranged marriage that remails civil, I never expected the depth of emotions those two characters hid.
The new Earl Fitzhugh knows that the only way to save his estates and his family from bankruptcy is to marry the young daughter of a factory owner, but when he finally gets to know Millie he realizes that his marriage was a wise choice after all.
(and their love making was so hot "good job Fitz!")
Tempting the Bride (book 3 in the Fitzhugh trilogy)
In this final book of the trilogy we come face to face with a terrible scandal, a scandal that will shake the foundation of both the Lexington's and the Fitzhugh's lives.
We already know from the previous installments that Viscount Hastings is madly in love with Helena, what we don't know is how stupid Helena is with her fixation with her paramour
What I found most intriguing is Hasting's character, his insecurities, his delicate handling of his daughter, his depth of emotion for the people around him is magnificent by the end of the book I wasn't even sure whether Helena was the right choice for him but lastly she realized the hidden treasure she already had in her hands.
Overall this series is a beautiful imaging of the era where the boundaries of the aristocracy have begun to blur, the ladies have begun their education and claimed professions for themselves but the issue of virtue and marriage always remained. ...more

One of my very good GR friend suggested this book to me and I am very glad that I started reading it at once.
First, I'd like to admit that I really love Historical Romance's, I like the ones with heartache and difficult decisions, I like manupulative relatives and wicked lords.
Well this book has it all! Elissande is abused by her uncle probably most of her life, she lives isolated, carring for her sick aunt and her only way of escaping reality is reading travel books.
On the other hand we have Lord Vere!.... Lord Vere is a secret agent of the Crown hiding behind a silly persona in order to become undetected to the people he is investigating.
Elissande and Vere are masters at manipulation, lying to everyone around them has become a second skin, each one of them for different reasons they have embraced their different personalities for avoiding conflict with the reality
Their love story is beautiful and heartfealt with lots of tears and agony, but in the end the find the courage to dismantle of themselves and reveal the truth to each other.
Last I must let you know that Vere and Elissande have some very steamy sex and after reading this book I realy want to visit Capri!!!!! ...more
Cure for Pain caught me by surprise. I wasn’t expecting the emotions, the plot and the compelling characters to sweep me of my feet….but it did.
Mary is a girl leaving her small home town to go to the city to change her life, while doing that she is determined to help Safe Heaven a shelter that provides clean needles and medical kits to the addicts.
Ty Jaden is a bad, bad boy. Messing up with all the wrong people from a young age he is neck deep in drugs and crime.
But when those two people meet something strange happens, the attraction is there palpable between them but there is more, there is realization, there is the motive to change ones life and there is pure love that can make you move heaven and earth to be with one another.
“There was something erotic and raw about the way the zephyr kissed their skin, and the rain washed over them. It only added to the frenzy building within her.”
But this book is not just romance, there is friendship and pain, there is loss and redemption and the burning need to change your life even if it means to actually die for it.

Human damsel in distress gets mixed up in ancient conflict and discovers love in the eyes of a warrior descendant of Hercules.
Greek mythology in a soup with demons, half-breeds and who knows what else all intertwined in a plot of hate, revenge and fight for power. I could easily remove the characters names and replace them with the heroes from Lords of the Underworld or the Lords of Deliverance and the plot could stay exactly the same, or I could take of the attidude and witty dialogue of the Argonauts and place it right inside the BDB mansion. This book is sooo "familiar" that I already know what happens next.
So why, on earth, I still want to read the next one?!?!?!?!
Did you ever feel that you cannot write a review because you cannot justify enough the reasons you liked the book??? If YES then you know how I feel rDid you ever feel that you cannot write a review because you cannot justify enough the reasons you liked the book??? If YES then you know how I feel right now!
I loved that book! I read about it in a post about BDSM literature and I thought "What the hell, I'll give it a try". The think that caught me at first was that the main theme of the book was BDSM as a lifestyle and not just an act of sex.
When Kaden realizes that he is going to die of cancer he invites his best friend Seth to share his unique way of life and his wife Leah. Leah was brutally abused as a child and her coping mechanism includes whips, handcuffs and ropes. I really loved Seth's character at first he is totally fraking out by the way his best friends live their life and then he is totally in shock about what Kaden wants him to do. Kaden literary guides him to take over his life, his house, his marriage even his financials and the reason for all this was his total will to safeguard Leah.
I really don't know how to put my thoughts in order for this book because all the emotions are still vivid in my mind.
The things I liked best were:. Seth's character! He is totally devoted with the task, he is in terrible pain over the loss od his friend, he is panicked with what he is doing (or is about to do) to Leah, and not once not even one single minute did he take his "work" less seriously, not even once did he think of running away, not once did he back down! I really admired him.
The things that kept me thinking:. Leah's emotional state! I know people who need guidance to handle their life but leaving all control to another person can be very dangerous, but not for Leah because her husband is totally devoted to her and her needs.
Kaden's devotion! I have never met a person so unselfish! Kaden is the definition of devoting your life for another, his totall world is Leah's happiness and he is terrified with the though not of duying but of leaving her without a strong hand to guide her.
The things I didn't like:. Kaden's guidance from the hereafter, all those messages, the DVDs, the quick marriage it was too much for me.
And the "destined triangle" . You enjoy sharing your wife, you enjoy two men in your life and bed that's totally fine with me I didn't the rest reasoning that " that's the way it's supposed to be" and " it was the only right thing for us three to be together". ...more
