The corners of T.J.'s mouth turned up slighty. He looked at me, his brown eyes showing a trance of the spark that had been missing the night before. "It'll make for a funny story someday," I said. "You know what, Anna? It's kinda funny now.”(less)
After the end of WWIV the world is a bit different than we know it. In Eastern Commonwealth the streets of New Beijing are filled with humans and androids but they hide terror and desperation too.
Around the world a plague is ravaging the population a plague that no one has managed to find the cure.
Our heroine Cinder has spent all her life hiding her true identity from everyone, she hides her hands with gloves and her leg with cargo pants but she can't hide her differences from herself.
Young Prince Kai is terrified of his father’s death, he isn’t ready to face being an emperor but most of all he isn’t ready to face Queen Levana, the Lunar Queen who is trying to find excuses to invade Earth and destroy Earthens forever.
This remake of the classic tale of Cinderella is a truly unique book, the world-building is fresh, the characters are matured from the misfortunes and hardened by the war, and the twists are so beautifully woven that you almost forget what if follows a certain pattern.
All the side characters are amazing, wicked Stepmother and Sisters are strategically positioned, the android Iko with the dry sense of humor and the girl’s insecurities, and I especially loved Dr. Erland as a fairy-god-mother.
The romance between the main MC is going to trouble us in the following books and I am comforted by the thought that is a slow build instead of love-at-first-sight especially since Cinder is very young.
I really enjoyed this book while reading it took my mind from reality and introduced me to a new fairy tale world.(less)

World After is a book I was highly anticipating, and when I got my hands on it I just couldn’t put it down.
The second book in the ” Penryn & and the End of days” series takes place just after Angelfall ended, everyone thinks than Penryn is dead and Raffe has two giant demon wings attached to his back. The heroes of the Revolution have won the battle of the Aerie but they have not won the war. The angels regroup faster than anyone would expect and they are up to something more gruesome than before.
Penryn is trying to come to terms with what her sister Paige has become and their mother is….. well she is as crazy as always. The action of this book never stops and page after page Penryn is trying to uncover what the Angels are up to but finding that out isn't going to be easy.
What I didn’t like was the long absence of Raffe, we get glimpse of him throughout the book but we finally meet him almost at 70% but when he finally speaks everything in this book just clicks to place, with the first sentence that comes out of his mouth (which by the way is utterly ridiculous) you get the feeling that everything is all right again.
And the thing that I absolutely loved in this book is “Pookie Bear”!!!!! I loved the strength she carries, her will to teach Penryn and the devotion towards Reffe. A shiny piece of object with a warm heart of its own. A magnificent idea!!!
World After ends with another cliffhanger (have I told you that I hate cliffhangers?) but at this point Raffe and Pernyn are together and along with them comes an unexpected ally. I'm really looking forward to the third book and I will wait for as long as it takes.
Once in a while in a readers life comes a book that will force him to change all his reading habits! That's what happened to me when I started reading Angelfall because I normally don't like books featuring angels!
In Angelfall we meet Penryn and her family (schizophrenic mother and wheelchair- bound sister) struggling to survive in a post-apocalyptic setting caused by avenging Angel warriors!!!!!
Penryn at a very young age is forced to fight to provide shelter for her family, food, warmth and a sense of safety, but all of her efforts turn to dust because she happens to witness an angel fight!
Raffe is being thrown to earth with his wings cut-off as a way to ensure that he will forever remain unwanted from his fellow soldiers. A fallen angel eternally tainted by a sin so severe that could win him a place in Hell!!!!!
So girl and angel are forced in a strange alliance, Penryn is trying to keep him alive so that Raffe can take her to the Aerie to find her sister and Raffe wants to have his wings again.
The journey the take is long and they face a lot of dangers (at some points I desperately needed a breath), our MC’s find their priorities changing, and they loyalty and devotion are questioned in every turn of the way.
“I knew from the start that your loyalty would get you killed. I just never thought it would be your loyalty to me that would do it.”
Their dialogue is beautiful and at times very funny in a cynical way, Raffe becomes protective of Penryn and our Heroine becomes jealous…
This book was sweet but grotesque at the same time, horror and dreams of another future clash, new threads are created to bind them together; and at the end we are left with answers but a lot of questions too.
* Beware, this book is not for the gentle reader, there is alot of violence and many scenes of horror.(less)

I’m amazed, shaken and shocked by this magnificent book.
When I started it I wasn’t expecting to have all those images, thoughts, emotions roaming my mind. I’m still shell shocked by all I’ve experienced!
I won’t talk about the two MC’s because I can’t do them right but I will tell you that there are certain things I don’t like in books, cliffhangers for example (really hate those), or the “love at first sight” and “love triangle” syndrome. In this book we have ALL of the above and still I love it!....
The cliffhanger at the end of the book was totally justified, with the way things were there was no other ending unless the reader wanted to read app 400 pages plus. (Have I mentioned that this book was HUGE?! No?! Well it was almost 894 pages!!!!).
I usually find the “Love at first sight” is an easy way out for writers who don’t want to Invest in their characters so much. Don’t analyze much, don’t have too much inner thought just make them stare at each other for a couple of seconds and there you have it. But in this book Tatiana and Alexander fell in love with each other instantly because they experience a single moment in time which is magical, you can’t explain magic you just have to believe in it and our MC’s believed in it and I totally understand it.
“When they were alone, Alexander looked at Tatiana as if there were no one else it the world but her.”
In almost 40% of this book we have a love triangle; Alexander is the boyfriend of Dasha, who is Tatiana’s sister! When they are with each other its love, when they are with the company of others its heartache and constant pain. For both of them! But the reality is that there is No Other Woman for Alexander, only Tatiana. There is no Love Triangle because they live and breathe only for each other, and despite all their doubts and inner turmoil is crystal clear that they were Made for Each other!
“This wasn’t a way of getting over a passing crush on your older sister’s swain. This was the moon of Jupiter and the sun of Venus aligning in the sky over her head.”
A couple of thoughts that will stay with me even after finishing this book, except of course the romance is the “side story” of Alexander’s parents. Americans who gave up their nationality and their passports to '….help build the great Communist experiment.” Later on they were both shoot for treason, they were found guilty of betraying BOTH of their countries.
And the suffering of the people of Leningrad because of the besiege from the Nazi’s. Hunger, lack of electricity and water, and the extreme Russian winter led them to total pauperization of human life. Tatiana put to rest all her family, from her brother who was the very first casualty of war, to her father who was bombed while in the hospital, her cousin who died of cold and hunger “ I don’t want to die,” whispered Marina, “and not feel just once what you feel.” and her mother who was sawing her own sack to her sister who at the very end finally open her eyes and saw the love Alexander and Tatiana shared “Yes”, Dasha said brokenly, “but what I want is for him to love me the way he loves you.”
This is an epic love story, through war and suffering, through death and desperation Tatiana and Alexander found each other and we readers have ourselves a beautiful bittersweet story.
“I want you to know that should something happen to me, don’t worry about my body. My soul isn’t going to return to it, nor to God. It’s flying straight to you, where it knows it can find you, in Lazarevo. I want to be neither with kings nor heroes, but with the queen of Lake Ilmen.” (less)

Jennifer Merrick and her sister Brenna the young daughters of the head of Merrick clan are abducted by Stefan Wastemoreland brother of the terrifying Wolf Royce Lord of Claymore the English knight who is spreading terror in all Scotland. And just like that the book starts and you (the reader) stop living!!!
I loved everything about this book!
I loved the way the book captivated me from page 1.
I loved that I finished it in just two days and I still have vivid images in my head!
I fell asleep with the sounds of Royce’s camp and the vision of Jenny running towards him and kneeling in the tournament.
I loved the heroine Jennifer who fights for acceptance from her people since her father took the succession of the clan from her hands and put it in the hands of her half brothers.
I loved Royce the Wolf!!!! A young and tough knight who can’t (and doesn’t even try) to make amends for everything he has done in the past but the moment the lays his eyes in Jennifer he starts feeling like a new person.
I loved Brenna (the timid :D ) and Stefan side-romance.
I love Arik! Without logic I know.
And I loved Aunt Elinor! This woman will forever hold my heard with her warmth, her kindness and her determination.
And finally I loved that in every page this book made me smile, laugh, bite my nails in anticipation, bring tears in my eyes from desperation and most of all it made men take a journey in the past and start dreaming again.
“You are mad!” she snapped, her chest heaving. “And you are the devil.” “And you, my dear,” Royce imperturbably replied, “are a bitch.” With that he turned to the horrified friar and unhesitatibly announced, “The lady and I wish to be wed.” Royce and Jenny
“I wouldn’t say I was taken captive. Not really. Nor dragged from the priory. It was more a matter that I was invited to come along by the most enormous man I’ve even beheld, who also happens to carry a war axe in his belt with a handle nearly the size of a tree trunk. So when he graciously thundered, “Come. No harm.” I accepted his invitation without delay.” Friar Gregory and Jenny for Arik
“You have the bluest eyes on earth.” He added with a low, appreciative chuckle, “When you’re angry, they’re the color of wet blue velvet.” Jenny rolled her eyes in disgust, momentarily pacified by his answer that this was her home. “Wet velvet?” she repeated wryly, winkling her nose. “Wet velvet.” Jenny and Royce
Great thanks to my GR friend Elizabeth for sending me the copy of this book! (less)
When it comes to Kate Daniels I can’t be objective I loved her from page one on Magic Bites and I still love her all through her journey in magic Atlanta, all through her six books of adventure, drama, passion and disappointment.
Magic Rises is the sixth book of Kate Daniels and Co adventures and in this book she comes face to face with her great fears both physical and emotional.
In the far away land of Georgia in the banks of the Black Sea three packs are fighting over a pregnant woman and Curran and his pack are invited to play the peace maker and will be rewarded with panacea. What they don’t know is that the biggest player of them all is Hugh D’Ambray the master of the castle, their host, the preceptor of the Iron Dogs, Roland’s commander.
I was quite socked by Hugh, I expected that the man Kate fears most (besides Roland) would be…scary! Well he is, but he is also an intriguing character, a master of manipulation, a passionate man and a fierce negotiator; Hugh uses EVERY weapon in his disposal to isolate Kate from the pack and Curran and the only reason for failing is Kate’s sheer stubbornness. Their chemistry is Wicked Good!!!! The memories they share are unique and I loved the way their history unfolded itself, the similarities they share due to their upbringing and of course their differences and their fighting scenes are breathtaking!!!
““There are thousands of shapeshifters. Kill a hundred and there are always more. But there hasn’t been another one like you for five thousand years. I would slaughter everyone in that room below for a shot at a single conversation with you.””
In this book Kate realizes that although she has Currans’ love, her friends’ devotions and the Packs’ loyalty she will always be different. Despite the fact that she was raised to BE on her own the time she shared with Curran and the Pack has forever altered her and in this book she realizes the fear of losing everything, of being alone.
A lot of favorite characters impressed me in this book, first of all Mahon and Aunt B!!!!!!! But I will always love Derek! His character will never cease to amaze me. I want to see him grow, I want to see him dream and I want to see him find a new purpose in his life. He is the brother I dream of having and the boyfriend I will never have (why? Oh, why?).
Getting to know Jim’s sister was brilliant, Dessandra is a perfect addition to the pack and Christopher… I really want to know what more we could see from him.
On the final note I want to add that I’ve read a lot of UF books, there are few authors who could put their characters to test the way the Andrews did with Kate and Curran and come whole on the other side, plus there are even less that could introduce a hobbit and not have the whole book community LOLing on their account.
“”I’d managed to find a hobbit in the Caucasus Mountains. I wondered what he would do if I asked him about second breakfast.””
Overall I love Kate Daniels! If you still haven’t read the books what are you waiting for????
P.S Magic Rises comes with a bonus. “An Ill-Advised Rescue," is a short story which centers on the kidnapping and rescue of Saiman by Kate and Derek.
I did a recent re-read of the book and I want to note two things that are nagging my brain since I finished:
1) "" the lone vampire knelt on one knee and bowed his head. "My lady," the navigator said. I raise my hand. The blood silk run down my forearm, hardening in to a three-foot spike. I shoved it forward. The bloodsucker's eyes flared bright red- the Master of the Dead had fled its mind- and I rammed the spike into its skull, scrambling its pitiful excuse for a brain."
2) ""there are ancients in the world, like him and me. They are waking up. Your father, he will want to use you. Soon you might have to make a stand."" There are so many things I loved in this book and Riaz and Adria is the main reason!!!!!
I’ve read many reviews for this book and I was a little hesitant for the main couple but not anymore! Riaz and Adria are listed as one of my favorite couples in this series (along with Riley-Mercy and Judd-Brenna). Their relationship lacking the mating bond was the more concrete and real to me, their struggle to overcome the emotional problems and the way they treated each other with the respect, they actually haven’t received in previous relationships, was very beautiful. I can totally relate with Adria, her hesitation to believe in any man after having her heart broken in little pieces and her pride so traumatized. The instinct to protect your own heart was so strong and it was dictating her actions. I personally would have done the same.
But Riaz……that beautiful, strong and passionate wolf!!!! He was so sweet and so tender that I was melting along with Adria. What woman could have the mind to resist his charm?! ”None of us are insane enough to piss of a lone wolf,” Simran said when she found Adria glaring at the tickets the next day. “Especially when said lone wolf made it a point to say he’d hunt down and bury the person who dared take any gifts meant for you.” Ignoring the fact the other woman’s eyes were bright with humor, Adria ripped off the tickets and stalked to Riaz’s office. He wasn’t there-she wasn’t sure she was relieved at not having to test her strength of will where he was concerned, or cheated at being robbed of the knock-down, drag-out fight she’d been anticipating. Borrowing a hammer from Walker Lauren, she pounded the tickets in to the office door with a nail. Hawke, passing by, helpfully held the tickets in place while she hammered the nail. He didn’t say a word, his expression so bland it was clear he was highly amused. Riaz didn’t say anything either. He just snuck back into her room and tucked the abused tickets back in place. See what I mean?!
The conscious choice they both made in the end of the book to stay together, as us mere humans do, without the “communication” the mating bond provides, was the thing that made my heart burst with love for them.
I love Vasic! This tormented Arrow speaks to my heart like no other in this series! I want his HEA to come very, very soon! And I want him to be with a true submissive (maternal) wolf, or leopard, or hummingbird! Or a human! But I want his shields to break little by little by someone with a gentle heart that will let him gracefully protect and cherish her; I don’t want to see him playing dominance games with anyone. …A tall dark-haired male with gray eyes so haunted, she wandered what he saw when he closed them. I wanna know too what Vasic sees when he closes his eyes.
I don’t think we’ve seen the last of the story-line with the Psy’s (Arrows, Pure-Psy, Kaleb, Nikita and Antony)! Despite the fact (view spoiler)[that Vasic killed Henry (hide spoiler)] and whether Tatiana will continue her husband’s work or that little toy-soldier Vasquez remains to be seen. And I really believe that Kaleb discovered (view spoiler)[ Alice! Is there a possibility that Ming is so interested in Sienna and the X-designation and Kaleb isn’t interested too?! Is it possible that Kaleb discovered the one he’s been looking for just as Alice regains consciousness? (hide spoiler)]
The existence of Human alliance is making more sense to me now and I’m starting to like Bowen.
You know that I really love Hawke! His is the Alpha of them all and I love the way he interacts with everybody! His chemistry with Lucas is legendary; he got drunk with Riley to celebrate their new wolf-leopard additions and his fight with Riaz to defuse the tension. He is just perfect as he is……that’s why I don’t like so much the “new- Hawke”!!!! all mellow and lovesick! It was good, don’t get me wrong, but it was too much!!! Little rituals. Little pieces of their lives. The idea that they were laying the foundations of their shared history….it made her so happy it hurt. Which was shy she was bewildered by her fit of temper. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” “Hey.” Expression suddenly solemn, he came down on his haunches in front of her, his jeans only party buttoned and all distracting. “I know what’s happening.” She raised her eyes from his chest-and lower-to his face. “You do?” “Yeah, baby, I do.” A sheepish look. “I’m crowding you, pushing, you even in our quarters, but I swear I’m not doing it on purpose.” I mean WTF??? A SHEEPISH LOOK!!!
I enjoyed very, very much all the other characters and the updates we got from their lives. Walker (what a kick-ass), Judd (LUV! LUV! LUV!) Tammy and Sasha, Riley and Mercy (*wide smile*).
I will finish this review just by saying that I really loved this book for the true romance and the rapid developing action and it’s a perfect addition to the series.
“He wasn’t a generous man when it came to his empress, wouldn’t return her heart. It goddamned belonged to him and he was keeping it.” ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>(less)

With...moreI could write a million reasons why I loved that book so very much but I should start by saying that it was the most sexually intense up to now! With Riley and Mercy as the main couple the sexual tension kicked me in the face from page 1 literally........
Riley is one hell of a good male! And that's a fact although there were ghosts in his closet he choose not to act irrational like so many others, he was cool and collected through the book no matter what Mercy throw at him.
Mercy was exactly the opposite. She was irrational, she was kicking and screaming and as Riley put it "She was fire". I liked her inner turmoil she had so many things to lose by becoming his mate, first it was the animals she is a leopard and he is a wolf, her family, her pack, both packs but she overcome them with grace and finally when the time was right she accepted the mating dance and Riley as her mate.
As you know I love the SnowDancers and in this book we get a healthy dose of all of them, Drew is the next one I anticipate very much, and Sienna and Hawke broke my heart in pieces.
Why are you being so helpful?” He shrugged. “I like my brother. And I especially like watching him off balance.” An evil grin. “You and he are the best entertainment I’ve had in years.” “Why hasn’t Riley killed you yet?” “I keep bouncing back.” A shrug, wide-eyed innocence. Charmed despite herself, she came to a stop in front of the door he’d led her to. “Now, listen carefully,” she said, leaning close, “if you dare come back here tonight, be prepared to sing soprano the rest of your life. Capisce?” Andrew’s eyes widened. “Man, you’re scary. Lucky Riley.” And she could tell he meant it, too. “I’m outa here.” But he paused. “Be gentle with him, Mercy. He’s got a heart as big as Texas—he’ll die for you without blinking. But he doesn’t expect anyone to do the same for him.” Drew and Mercy.
“Whatever the hell is happening between you two, make a note that several different men, me included, will kill you if you touch her. She’s not ready.” “I don’t know who you’re talking about.” Hawke’s voice remained unconcerned, but his hand was squeezing his pen so tight, he’d probably shattered it. “But none of us will kill you for spending time with her.” He pulled open the door. “Track her down, taunt her into a sparring session. It’ll get you skin-to-skin contact.” Hawke’s eyes were pure wolf when they met Riley’s. “I don’t think so.” Riley looked at his alpha and gave a slight nod. “Yeah, I see your point.” A little contact would only enflame the wolf. “You need to draw some blood?” It was an honest offer, wolf to wolf, frustrated male to frustrated male. “Not yet.” Riley and Hawke for Sienna
To the main story line now…….can’t remember, what was this book about????? Oh yes about the Human Alliance…..it all went OK in the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)(less)

I love Rehvenge! He is one of my absolutely favorite characters and while reading his book for the first time I felt his desperation and panic to do the right thing for those he loves in my very soul! And while reading it for the second time I felt a strong communion with him.
The fear for those he loves, the isolation of not being able to fit, the load of the family secrets, and the constant blame! Poor guy! I would have gone up the Colony to get him myself!!!!!!!!!!!!! And his mate Ehlena is a nice change to the Chosen, a working, down to earth girl with everyday issues like most of us, and a steady selfless character!
The bootie calls………………. Just fantastic!
The parts with John and Xhex are my favorites, his anger and her regret the total opposite feelings just positioning to collide in their own book.
I liked the Brotherhoods interactions and I liked the side storyline with Wrath and Beth. It’s not always right in heaven; problems do pop from time to time!
And Lash!!!!! I hate this guy!!!!!! Totally hate his guts!!!!!!! I would have loved for him to stay with the Princess so that they can torture themselves in all eternity!!!!! (less)

Unholy ghosts has my all time favorites for "bad guys" ghosts and the use of magic!!!! It was nearly one of the most frightening stories I have recently read, a real pageturner and sitting-at-the-edge-of-my-chair kind of book.
Chess is a woman in her mid-twenties who came from a very abusive childhood in foster houses and has found her purpose in the Churse but not in the religious kind of way but in sending the bad bad ghosts away. But most of all Chess is a drug addict and that's where some of her problems begin, because two of the towns drug lords are blackmailing her in order to surve their purposes!
The element that impressed me is that Chess is actually a human! Plain old human, without any special powers just the use of magic and most times she is scared out of her mind by the ghosts she is trying to send away. The story is very solid and as I already said its quite spookie!!!
But I had issues with the language some of the characters use, the drug lords, Terrible and Lex are IMO practically illiterate, not stupid but by the way they talk I get the general impression that they missed school for several years!
I know that the author is using the language to create a unique and distinct writing character but after reading over 150 books in English I must admit it was the most difficult book for me to understand.
I'm really interested in Chess and how her life is going to continue and specifically what is she going to do with Terrible but I will take a breather first before I continue!(less)

And I’ve been trying to thing what to write in this review, how can I sum up a story like this one?! And since I cannot find a proper path I’m just going to share some thoughts…… I love these guys Dan and Vadim (him a little more) and I’m so happy they finally got their HEA!!!! After a lot of tears last night today I have a big smile on my face and it’s all because of them.
My favorite points in this installment are: *BEWARE SPOILERS AHEAD*
1)Their isolation in the beginning of the book, I felt so heartbroken and so betrayed on their behalf, both wrapped up in their own problems Dan’s self pity which was essential though for the maturing of his character and Vadim’s career-seeking was also a must since he had to support them both (not the actual truth) but it was also necessary for his character to obtain objective because Vadim cannot function without an objective.
2)Konstantinov!!!! I felt tremors in my body just by mentioning his name when I saw him I nearly freaked out! I can totally relate with Vadim and his mental breakdown although I would like to see more of him during his treatment and his struggle to reach the light. It was absolutely unnecessary for me to watch Dan doing the honey-bunny with Jean during that period of time!!!!!
3)Katya and their children. It was a moment I was expecting and it turned out beautifully, not all mellow but with the proper dose of honesty. And I liked how Vadim found his children, with Nikolai a deep friendship and although we didn’t see much of Annouska I liked the way he described her in the end: “Whereas Anya was much like he’d been when he was young. Aloof, masked, fierce in her dedication to follow her own way, whatever the cost, whatever the sacrifice. A narcissist of the highest order.”
4)Their domestic life! I fucking loved watching them in their house, behaving like a totally normal couple with the cooking duties and the coffes at the kitchen table! Totally abso-fucking-lutely loved it!!!!! And no one not even George or Jean are going to take that image away from me!!!!
5)Bonus points to Beouvais and St. John and of course to Dima and Markus gay couples with steady relationships based in honesty and love, the exact same thing as Jean (!#*!*$&!#%&$#@#!)
6)And finally their wedding, not in a million years I could have thought that I could actually be invited to their wedding!!!!! From the way Vadim actually proposed to Dan and the flat and practical logic behind the actual cause. I actually didn’t understand how the tears started running from my eyes but at some point I couldn’t read and my hubs started shouting what was wrong!!!!!!!!!! The kilt, the steel rings, the all essential lapis lazuli and most of all their family! Dunkan calling Vadim brother: ““We have long ago welcomed you into our family.” Duncan said to Vadim, with his warm smile, arms open, “let us welcome you once more, brother in law.” Vadim embraced him with no second thought, just the word “brother” held a strange magic for somebody who couldn’t imagine how it could have been, growing up as a team, sharing blood like that. Brother and sister in law.” Dan saying “I love you” to Maggie using after all those years her name instead of Ma’am! Dr. Williams being so proud at Vadim and the life he accomplished despite everything that has happened to him. And the actual ending of this journey Vadim and Dan lying in bed happy and married just sharing the same dream right at that point. “”And in the meantime, the world has changed Just for us.” Vadim grinned, liking that preposterous idea. “They ended the Cold War, made marriage possible…” Just for us. As if. But it was a nice indulgence to joke about it. “Sure, just for us.” Dan chuckled softly. “And they made sure they put a lot of people into the world, just for is, to have friends, mates, and family.” The most joyful and optimistic thought! Just imaging the world changing to accommodate me !!!! But Vadim and Dan deserved it and they deserve much, much more!
Well, that was just about all I had to say! During this journey I came across many things I didn’t like, things that freaked me out and raised my blood pressure to high and dangerous levels and there are all connected to infidelity. It is something that’s quite hard for me to understand and to consent but I’m not going to mention them here, I’m going to remember Dan and Vadim always with such a sweetness which almost amazing even to me. I love those guys! (less)

Even thought the stories are massive (almost 600 paged each) and the main characters take up the most of it it doesn't become boring, in every page you learn something new and you love the guys more (If that can even be possible). All the other side-characters (Jean, Hooch, Matt, etc, etc) piss me off and I would be better off without them.
A must read but only for the brave-hearted! (less)

Deuce is a young girl who doesn't act at all like her age, she is strong, she is down to earth, she puts the community above herself and she is very loyal to her friends. She is totally shelfless!
She has grown up in an environment unknown to us but when she faces the "known" world -or what's left of it- we get grimpses of the innocent girl she could have been, I loved the part when she is trying to attach to people especially to Fade or Tegan.
What can I say about Fade?! An amazing boy, a whole-hearted man!
Give it a try it's worth you time and money!(less)

I think I'm even in love with Kate, she is smart, she is funny, she has her own mind, a very big mouth which gets her in a lot of troubles most of the time, she is courageous in degrees of stupidity and takes the phrase "kick-ass heroine" in a new level.
I loved the storyline ( it's the first book I read in which vampires are mindless creatures of death, deformed and controlled by humans! I'm actually surprised to even say such a thing) has so many twists and turns I kept biting my nails in every page. Death, pain, despair, regret, a tiny bit of romance and a lot of hidden secrets all in the right proportions to keep the reader interested.
And the good logical guys are the shape changers, yeap lions, rats, cats, even bears help our heroin smack some faced to dust. And the Lord Beast, hot Curran I'm sure we haven't seen the best of him!

I've been in love with Hunter since taken by midnight when Mira was reading Harry Potter to him (amazing isn't it?!) but I wasn't that sure about Corinne her story as mentioned in the previous books wasn't something special to me. But now that I’ve finished the book it all makes sense in a good way, they "fit" together, he is so sweet with her that amazed me! I could not imagine a male brought up for nothing more than death being so sweet and tender to another person. The story of the rest of the Breed warriors gives a great update to their lives and a most happy event (a most happy and anticipated indeed). The cliffhanger at the end sets the next book in a new basis, new establishment, and new characters and of course Sterling in his worst time. Loved the book, of course I will read it again starting now and biting my nails until Darker!.... (less)
