Not only is Colleen Hoover a very talented writer she is also a really awesome person from what I see of her on social media. Which doesn't shock me because if you've read her writing you know it has to come from the heart of someone pretty freaking incredible!
I don't think I can even put this read into words to make a great review. Maybe I will have to come back and do so.
I don't think I ever read a character of the males species that I just loved so much until I met Miles. I'm sort of jealous, because not only am I a reader I am also an author and this creation of man is what I think every other author dreams of doing in their own books!!
It's crazy because Miles drove me crazy in some ways but it still didn't stop how swoon-worthy he was. He had a bunch of inner demons he was fighting with and I love the way you slowly learn about it.
The chemistry between Tate and Miles was just so on point. Tate was everything I want to read in a female character and just every inch and ounce and letter was just so superb.
The entire book left me with a big heart full of all kinds of feelings.
Sometimes I wish Colleen was one of my best friends so I could just pick her brain and see where she comes up with this shit because it's really ridiculous just how amazing she is at writing.
Okay, that's all for now. *waves*
This review is coming from someone who has a hard time sticking with a story. If a book can keep me interested it's a really freaking good book!...more

I just finished, this book has been a joy to read. And I believe it deserve all five stars. The writing was ridiculously good, I have never read anyone's work that can write so simply yet fill your mind with such detail all at once. This story sucked me right in and I could not put it down each time I picked it up to read. When I wasn't reading it I was busy thinking about the characters and dying to know what happened next. I had no complaints or confusion in anything about the book, it was perfect and thats hard to come by in writing!
A little about my thoughts on the story without giving away anything, it will blow you away thats one of them. Let's see it starts with a brief backtrack then jumps right into the present, I have never read about this topic before but I am glad that I did. Nora is a young girl in high school dealing with the everyday life, one exception I would say is she lost her dad in a way not everyone has to lose a parent. But she doesn't let that destroy her life she still lives life, she has a best friend who I must say is so funny, I could not stop laughing whenever she would say something sarcastic, the girl didn't take much of anything serious. I think that was why they worked so well together as best friends. The story really starts pulling you in as we meet Patch the mysterious boy in her biology class, she is partnered with him and right from the start he is dark and mysterious and his way with words sucks you into the story. There is no denying the instant crush I had for this character, he was mysterious and brooding, he knew just what to say.
The story wasn't the typical romance at all, and thats a good thing. Nora didn't fall into Patch's arms in fact she really used her head and said "Wait a second" and played it smart. Well as smart as one could based off of who he was.
Throughout the story your trying to piece all these things happening together, I myself totally guessed wrong and was surprised at the end. And that's another thing I enjoy, I do not like predictable.
I really enjoyed how the story came together, I think it worked out awesome, and I for sure will read the next book, I already have been told its better then the first! I believe Patch may now be my favorite character of all time as well as this author!
I wish I could write everything I am thinking about this book but I am sure there is no way I would remember it all. I will end with anyone looking for a great book that never dulls and has a lot of excitement then read Hush, hush. ...more

This book was even better then Hush, hush. There was even more going on in this one then the first. A lot more in depth. I really was taken on an emotional rollercoaster. I don't like to give away the story so I'll just say there were so many times I was near tears of anger at what was going on lol and then back to happy then back to sad or pissed off. But it was all great for the story, and it made me keep on reading. Nora finds out so much in this book. She learns things that I never even thought was going to happen, I like that the story has you going down one road then throws you off that path completly. Even when I started to become angry with Patch for being so cold and just shutting down I still couldnt. I guess in the back of my mind I kept telling myself he does love her, he is just trying to protect her. I don't think there is ever going to be a way for me to not like Patch. And once again I found myself laughing so many times at the antics her and her friend come up with. My most favorite was the part when she sneaks into Scott's bedroom looking for answers and plants a note about him being a weiner if he doesn't go to the party with him. It was so cleverly done it really had me laughing. And when Vee is panting and almost dying from trying to outrun the car on foot. Great writing! I do believe Becca Fitzpatrick has done it again with this book. And I totally loved the ending it was sort of shocking how it ended, but it did give us the answer we wanted to know, and that was Who was the black hand? I myself wasn't sure who it could be, the beginning of the story lead you to believe Patch was the one who killed her father, but you soon find yourself guessing over and over again. So the ending was awesome. I can not wait until October for the third book....more

It had everything I look for in a book. The story is about a young girl name Jessica Warren. She's a witch. Well, you would think the book would be your typical witch story, but it's not. Jessica is battling against a lot of issues. Her parents divorce, her mother's issues and her own. And the coolest part about this book: when your a witch using your magic is like doing drugs, you get high. Jessica is addicted to magic and trying to get a handle on it, sometimes failing miserably just like her mother. She is doing her best to pull herself together and lead a normal life after she was thrown into rehab. The only problem is her life isn't normal. She is taking care of her mother who is more or less a drug addict. She is also working to pay the bills at their house. She's barely making ends meet and she never whined about it which I liked. I liked her character a lot. I felt for her. The only person Jessica has is her neurotic best friend Amber. A Spanish girl that never knows when to shut up. She is a little crazy, but would do anything for Jessica. Amber has her own special talent that I won't give away, but it plays a major role in the book when Amber lets her in on a dark secret. This is around the time the story starts to take you on a crazy ride. Secrets are uncovered, connections are made and I found myself mesmerized. Jessica meets Trent at a party almost by accident. He is charming, sweet and takes a liking to her. But there is a mystery to him and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. You also have Carmen, Amber's hot over brooding brother. He seems to always be angry or telling someone what to do. I saw a connection between them throughout the whole read and I found myself wishing they would get together. Carmen is more a bodyguard and meat head then the boyfriend type sadly, but I still hold out hope that something will come of the two of them. The author has a way of writing a story and pulling me in. I loved the moments shared between Trent and Jessica. The pond was by far the most magical and romantic I've read in awhile. It was beautifully written and easily imagined. The ending left me wanting more. And all the way through I was guessing and wrong more then right, and this is a good thing because I hate predictable stories. The plot flowed beautifully, the characters were strong and the story was great. I look forward to reading more about Jessica Warren and her best friend Amber! ...more
