You know, the more I read about sexy rock gods in books the more I love them. I am genuinely surprised it took me so long to pick up this one up, and I really don’t know why I waited so long. If you know me, you know I am a huge Abbi Glines fan and how I managed to read her first book last remains a mystery to me. I oh so wish I would have read this first, not that is has anything to do with any of her other books, but it is just so darn great! It’s a great opener for all the epicness that is an Abbi Glines romance. So even if this is your first Glines book, or your last there is no doubt in my mind that you will enjoy every second of it.
This book was just so easy to fall into and not want to get out of. The writing was seamless and made me feel every ounce of joy, sorrow, and longing that each character felt. It was so easy to love and connect with every character that graced the pages and Abbi even made me love the parts I hated. You know, those parts that break your heart so much you just don’t want to go on anymore? [Yell at people, throw things, punch a pillow or two, maybe even use an intense glare or two at your man…] Yeah, those were GREAT. How she managed this, I will never know, but I am always grateful for it. It’s so nice to be able to start a book and then by the time your flipping the last page see that a few hours have passed only to wonder how it happened. Hooked is an understatement.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed reading and connecting with Sadie. I related so much to her problems at home that I just felt like we were related. It was nice to see her emotional development throughout the story and see, even though her mother was not the best and put her through hell, she came out of it a better person and never once gave up on her mom. No matter how much she didn’t deserve it. Oh, and then there was Jax. I have to applaud this young rock god, because he was just what my Sadie needed. Sweet, thoughtful and so swoon worthy I thought I was going to have to call an ambulance. Always knowing just what to say and being all vulnerable, god. *Melting* I loved every second I got to spend with him.
I do believe there was one more man that had my heart a thumpin’ in this book. Marcus. Oh Marcus, how I love you! Going into this book I knew he was going to get his own book [Because of Low] so I knew things were not going to work out for him. But god, that didn’t stop me from falling for him and being crushed when Sadie didn’t even give him a full out shot. Oh and Ms. Mary. It was so nice to see Sadie get a voice of comfort in this book since she wasn’t getting any from her mom. Abbi always manages to have such a strong supporting cast that I kind of forget they aren’t main characters.
Having to go through my emotional rollercoaster to make it to the end I would have not had it end any other way. Though I had a major freak out and bit my nails so low they hurt the ending was so worth it. That is one thing I love with Abbi’s work. Her standalone books always have the best endings. This is a great read no matter what age/location/emotional state you are in. If you love a good YA romance then look no further. Jax and Sadie have everything you need [and then some]. So sit back, relax, and go buy this book. [:

I really enjoyed this novella. I was super happy to find on the last page that Trisha Wolfe is creating a full book off of these characters and I can not wait to get my grubby little hands all over it. I am already in love with the characters and this was only 34 pages long.
Sigh. Waiting sucks, but I have a feeling it is going to be totally worth it. [:(less)

Nothing can compare to Pride and Prejudice but I think everyone would agree there. Other than that I loved this book, it was a bit long, but I was so happy with how it all ended. I would definitely read some more works by Heather Rigaud, this book had me smiling and laughing out loud and then brooding with myself on the couch. 4.5 out of 5 seems like a good fit for this [:(less)

There was parts where I wanted to shove some people around and yell at them, but the ending it totally and completely worth being pissed. Ups and downs and crazy people what more could you ask for in a romance? This book is just so much more than I thought it would be and I loved every second.(less)

Sylvain Reynard is an excellent writer, I did not want to put the book down until I devoured ever page. When I did have to put it down to sleep [sadly] I could not stop thinking about it all night. The first thing I did when I woke up the next morning was dig right in again because I could not take not knowing where Gabriel and Julia's relationship was going to go next. I kill to read books where I feel ever emotion radiating off of the page, and this was one of those books. I simply can not wait until book number two in this very romantic page turner. I have no doubt that Reynard will hook me once again and I will succumb to his masterpiece until I can not keep my eyes open anymore. Please, do yourself a huge favor and read this wonderful book. I am sure glad I did.(less)

Pagan Moore is not your average teenager readers. You see, Pagan can see wondering souls and has learned that if she just ignores them they will go away. But when arriving at school for the first day of her senior year she can't help but to notice a certain soul following her around. Then he speaks and her world is thrown upside down. See, the souls never talk to her. Now she is more than intrigued as to why this pretty sexy looking guy..oh..sorry..soul has spoken to her, he is a soul right? Okay people, if that is not enough to make you want to devour the rest of this book, then I don't know what will.
I LOVE Abbi Glines books for a lot of reasons, but the characters she fills them with is probably a top one. They are so easy to connect with and love that I just can't get enough! Even when there are characters I hate, I kinda love to hate them, and this book is no different. To put it simply, I pretty much love Pagan. This girl had some crazy things happen to her and she kept her head through it all. I loved that she felt so strongly and wasn't afraid to show her emotions when times got tough.Oh and the best friends Miranda and Wyatt never failed to make me laugh, even when they hated each other for a whole day I loved them! The perfect mix of sappy, and sassy made this my "perfect couple" of the book. I know, how could I call her two best friend the "perfect couple"?! Well, when there are two dudes who love the same girl, there is no perfect couple!
Yeah, you read me right. I said two guys. What, you thought Death was the only guy crushing on Pagan? [Can I just say now since I didn't say it before, I am effing head over heels with that name. Pagan. That just screams Bad Mama Jama doesn't it?!] Anyway...oh right...No, Death oh I mean Dank [once again, amazing name!] is not the only one who has the hots for Pagan, there is also the incredibly sexy jock Leif Montgomery. I would be lying to you all if I said I was uber jealous of Pagan in this book. Sure, there are two amazing guys, but the circumstances to everything around them, well lets just say Pagan can deal with it. Though, once you really get down to it, there is no competition between the two. That doens't mean, however, that you won't be torn between the two boys! Both have their things going for them and you will come to see that neither are going anywhere anytime soon!
Crazy relationships are not the only thing you will be getting with this book. From the mysteries trying to be solved, to the loops you are thrown for it is safe to say there is enough to keep you glued to your seat for the entire ride. Your heart goes from soaring, to stomped into the ground and then once you emotions are starting to level out you are hit with something you never saw coming. Get ready for a lot of 'No Way! Are you SERIOUS?! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!' There is more, but I could have went on for days people. Everything just fit together so perfectly for me in this book I wish it would have went on forever. I never got to a point where I said to myself, "I think I will just stop for the night." There was never time to stop! Once the last few chapters rolled around I was so engrossed in this book I actually screamed at that famous last line everyone keeps talking about. ;]
All I will tell you all is, DON'T CHEAT! When you pick up this book do not cheat yourself. The last line is so much better when you read from cover to cover. Do whatever needs to be done for your curious eyes to keep their eyes from wondering to the last page. This book was such a fresh twist on the paranormal genera and I was dazzled by how well Abbi Glines transitioned from her other works. I can not wait for Predestined to come out and answer all the burning questions I have. This is the start of an epic Trilogy I can just feel it in my bones. I guess I can now call Abbi Glines a master of suspense right? I don't think anyone will disagree with me on that one. Get ready for an intense ride folks, because this is just the beginning.

It had my heart in its hands and no matter how hard I tried to get it back, it only clutched it tighter. I could not put this book down, I think my fingers may have broke if I did put my nook down for one second of this gripping story. Everything had me. The characters, the story, the interactions, the feelings, it was all just so much and I loved every second of it. My heart skipped beats, my cheeks blushed more profusely than Kiera, I wanted to yell, I wanted to stop them, I wanted to reach out and just make it all better. In the end, all I could do was wait and read this amazing tail to see which way my heart would break.
This book took us on one seriously twisted roller coaster. And when I say twisted I mean it both good and bad. Good for me, bad for my heart and the characters in this amazing tail of love. When this book opens, we meet Kiera and Denny. Can I just say, right from the opening page, I was in love with this couple. Between Denny being the ultimate sweetheart and Kiera being completely taken with him, I did not know how this book would turn out seeing these two in love like they were. Even seen the amazing Kellan Kyles could not break these two from each other. And let me tell you ladies, Kellan is a stud. Yet, after Denny gets called away for two months for his new job, I knew lines were getting ready to be drawn and crossed.
Kellan and Kieras relationship, oh my, it was totally heart wrenchingly amazing. What starts off as a friendship, clearly leads to massive amounts of sexual frustration. Not only for the characters readers, but for you. Be ready to blush your face OFF! I was taken with these two. I found myself asking "Who the HELL is Denny and why the HELL is he messing this up!?" Then I was like, "Oh yeah, you are having an affair behind his back." But god, I was okay with it. As I think most readers would be also. When you have scenes without Kellan, you find yourself reading it just to see them spend some time together. I think what also endears us to Kellan is that no matter how much of a man whore he may be, you can tell there is a side that is dying come out and does come out around Kiera. Feeling them fall in love with each other took my breath away.
But, as you have one relationship that is blooming, the iciness of what is really going on clenches your heart. Kiera is cheating on the man she loves, and is in turn falling in love with another man. The thing about this book that got to me the most was the fact that I connected with it so well. I felt like I had been there, and done that and was reliving every second of my own life. So I knew how Kiera felt when one love was slipping to the side and another was taking its place. I also knew her frustration and heart ache at the fact that she was clearly hurting the two men she loved. I knew the feeling of not knowing which way to turn, and the decision of killing one of their hearts when she had to pick who to keep and who to let go.
Now, not wanting to give up too much information on this amazing love triangle I will tell you how much the secondary cast was needed in this book, and severally loved! Seriously. Every crazy guy in the band, the co-workers, and Kieras sister. Every single one of them has a place in my heart. The book simply could have not gone on without them. Helping, guiding, staying quiet to the things going on around them when needed be. Laughing, goofing off, being a HUGE perv, and just being there when they needed to be. It makes you picture you own friends, slipping in their face for the ones you have imagined. It makes you feel comfortable in the story when things that are everything but comfortable are going on.
I just wish I could spill my heart more about this book readers. I just do not give it the justice it deserves really. There is no way I could put into words how I was feeling when I was reading this book. I can come close with what I have said thus far, but I couldn't really express it all. I severally loved this book. My boyfriend kept calling my silly when I told him this book has my heart and it wont let go, but it is what I really felt. Read this book. No matter what age you will remember your first heart stopping romance. Whether it be soft and sweet, or fast and hot. This book has every single bit of it for your hearts desire. In the end, you can only ask yourself what does your heart truly want?

I couldn't help but to fall in love with the characters both main and secondary. The story was amazing and had me swooning, pissed, crying, and very very hot. Yes I said hot, as in Jamie McGuire knows how to make girls blush with her dirty scenes, but my god. I would read this book over and over and I feel like it still wouldn't be enough.
The book starts off with us meeting Abby Abernathy. A college freshman in hopes of a new life at a new school in a state that's far away from where she came from. Then, after getting dragged to a fight in a basement of some random building at school with her best friend Amercia and her boyfriend Shep, her life changes in ways she never knew, or wanted. Enter Travis "Mad Dog" Maddox. The main fighter everyone wants to see. He is a bad ass that all the girls shamelessly throw themselves over. But being the player Travis is, he never ever has relationships with them. He is the kind that loves em and leaves em and everyone knows his reputation, even Abby. But once these two meet eyes after the fight, their lives are turned upside down.
I will agree with every single reviewer when I tell you this book was like crack. I could not stop reading no mater what. The chapters seamlessly flowed and the heart gripping romance McGuire writes for us had me never wanting to put it down. Everything about Abby, or should I say Pigeon as Travis calls her [which I thought after he explained why he calls her that, it was shamelessly adorable.] and Travis's relationship called to me. I love how it grew, how it was put to the test many times, and how simply in love I fell with them both. This romance was an intense romance, and I really loved that. It wasn't the kind that they see each other and fall head over heels, it was they saw each other and a friendship begins. Though, I must say, one of them fell head over heels at the first sight...
In all of this whirlwind romance of blurred lines between Pigeon and Travis you learn what really makes them tick, what makes me fall to pieces, and what makes them stronger. The grow together, and help each other with the demons they have. My emotions where crazy in this book. I went from being completely happy, to completely pissed, to bawling like a little baby. What can I say, a good romance does that to me. I love how Jamie McGuire made me want to literally shake a few of the characters from time to time, and how she made these two grow together. She may have broke my heart half-way through the book, but she MORE than made up for it in the ending. I just wish I could read more of these two, since they are forever etched into my brain.
Over all, I give this book 10 out of 5 stars. Really. [: It simply made me fall in love. And it is a steal of a book. I felt like it was being sold way cheaper than it was actually worth after reading it. If you want a romance that makes all your emotions come out to play, then this is the book for you. From the emotions, to the hot sexy scenes, this book has a little bit of everything for everyone. Thank you Jamie McGuire for reminding me why I love these kinds of books, and how they will always have a place in my heart.
