Wow! What a dark and intense read. I was not expecting a dark read as I did not read any reviews. I went into it blind and that was the best way to go. I do not know why I even clicked on the cover as it is not appealing but I did. Next to my surprise I was curious about this couple. Of course had to read a sample and bam I was one clicking to buy. Awesome beginning love both Prologues from each character. It is one of those Prologues that is actually part of the ending. I am always a sucker for that in my reads. Author gives you just enough to wonder what is happening.
This book is not dark when it comes to the couples relationship. They are both messed up from their past. I connected with David as an individual and being in the relationship with Emma. He always has her back and stands up for her. Loved that both are possessive of each other. They are not afraid to speak their minds when it comes to each other.
I am a flash back junkie. The flash backs were perfectly layered through out the novel and found those to be some of the darkest and saddest moments. I enjoyed the flash backs more than I did the present. I really had a hard time connecting with Emma. It started right from the couples first meeting each other. Did not set a good tone for her character. If I could of connected more with her as a individual I could of rated 4 stars - Loved It.
The prologue, flashbacks and epilogue were spectacular. Push was a intense read at times that was hard to put down. The ending was crazy and I am sure I will continue one day with book 2. Really need book 2 on hand. Since I had a hard time connecting with Emma I am no rush to continue on. Sometimes the best is to leave the book as is and let my imagination take over.
Even though I could not rate the book higher it was still a nice surprise read that I had no expectations going in. It is unpredictable and original. ...more

Wow! Only Jennifer L. Armentrout can get me to read a Young Adult Suspense. The only Young Adult I like to read every now and then is Paranormal Romance. Don't Look Back was a page turner. I was right there with Samantha trying to figure out what happened that night her and Cassie disappeared. The layers were perfectly placed through out the novel.
"Don't look back. You won't like what you find."
That is exactly what Samantha is dealing with. She was not a good person. Loved that she wanted to be a better person. That she did not like the old her.
I had a few people in mind who was the bad person. One of them I was right about but once revealed it did blow my mind about that person. JLA did an amazing work on who was bad. The only reason I had a clue was because my brain was working non stop trying to figure it out. ...more

Wow! This was a nice surprise for me. I had some issues with Torn From You (Tear Asunder #1) but a few of the secondary characters did catch my attention. One of them being Deck and Georgie. Another surprise to see their story be a spin off of the Tear Asunder series. Because of my issues with the other book I really had no expectations going into Perfect Chaos. I knew I wanted to give this author another chance as I did like some other characters. So happy I did.
Loved the layers that slowly peeled away with Georgie and her secrets. Readers were right there with Deck trying to find out the truth of what is going on with Georgie. Her world is dark and some scenes were pain full to read but it needed to be done so readers can feel what she is going through. This lie of a life she is living makes her strong will. She can be bit feisty and has a smart mouth on her but it is not over the top. Love that she can hold her own but still has her weak moments.
Deck is an alpha male true to heart. It is in his nature to protect his loved ones. When it comes to Georgie he is over protected. He has his reasons as he knows she is keeping secrets. He has been around for years in and out of her life looking out for her. Loved that they did not fall in bed to quick. I do not know if I just connected more with them because they caught my attention in Torn From You (Tear Asunder #1) or if their chemistry was right on. All I know is I absolutely fell in love with them as individuals and as a couple. It also has my favorite trope Older Brothers Best Friend.
Perfect Chaos grabbed me from beginning and never let up. Full of twist and turns I never knew coming. ...more

Spoil Free Review It is so easy to fall in love with Aurora Rose Reynolds alpha male heroes. Trevor does not know how to do relationships. He does want to be involved with Liz but knows he has no chance with her. He messed up with her once already and does not want to do it again. So their friendship starts before moving on. He is relentless and does not take no for an answer. Had a few giggle moments with them.
Liz has some issues with her family that does prevent her from moving forward with Trevor. I loved that he was gentle, sweet and patient when needed.
Love that he still has a close friendship with November and how they love to tease her husband Ash. Love the brothers together. Look forward to Cash and the woman who will be able to bring him down to his knees.

Nine Minute Trilogy started off amazing but with each follow up book I had issues. The book was done in 2 parts. I did like part 2 better but also had few issues with it. I will start with the good.
The good - I thought I loved Grizz more in book 2 but he won me over in this book. -Loved the prologue and how it is like book 1 as the actual ending. But it does not give anything away. Readers are left wondering what is really going on. -I loved the ending and was happy how things turned out. -One twist from book 2 had another twist to it that I felt better about. Happy Beth Flynn took that direction. -A particular character from book 2 needed to be dealt with and was happy with that outcome. - great job setting up future books with other characters if decide to do a spin off
The Bad -Everyone discussed the same topics over and over again. I was bored and wanted something new. -There was some life changing moments for a lot of the characters that were handled to easy. There could of been some intense moments if certain scenes were flesh out more. -Scenes were done so easy to make other scenes work out. That bothered me because I somewhat new how the outcome would be. -Some scenes I felt were never dealt with. Why throw a good scenario in there if never had an out come for it. -I thought the 2nd book was unrealistic but wow did this book beat that. It was over the top farfetched.
Personally I think a toned down version of book 2 and 3 could of been one book. Even though I had issues with how the Nine Minutes Trilogy played out I still feel that Beth Flynn has a good writing voice and is an amazing story teller. After all she made me fall in love with a story and characters I thought I would never would.

Out Of Time was a good follow up to Nine Minutes but did not blow me away. It was missing the intense, dark and gritty that I loved in Nine Minutes. Some scenes I needed the dark and rawness in it to really feel what was happening.
I am happy I do not have to question my sanity over my love for Grizz. Beth Flynn made me fall more in love with his character and Ginny. I now understand his obession and love for Ginny as it is something fierce. How can someone not fall in love with her as she is assertive, loving and giving. I love Grunt's character but I am Team Grizz.
Loved that readers got to see how all the secondary characters came into Grizz life. I grew to love most of the secondary characters from Nine Minutes but wow did Beth Flynn change that. Like Grizz I have also become over protective of Ginny. I hate one particular character and I hope they get what is coming to them especially now that someone has something important in their possession.
There were some scenes that were far fetched. I know it is only a story and is fiction but I still need some realistic in my reads except in the paranormal world. The downside to Out Of Time was there was too many twist and turns. Some made sense but some I had to question if there was any mess ups. I really wanted to look back and check but I was so engrossed in the book that I needed answers and see how everything played out. Thankfully everything that came up was answered but one thing. The last part of the book was a pager turner and full of info overload I am hoping I did not miss my answer. Hoping I get my answer in book 3.
The ending was good but once again it did not blow me away like Nine Minutes did. It is a perfect set up to book 3. Out Of Time is a pager turner that is full of secrets and betrayal. Nine Minutes Trilogy is like reading a twisted soap opera. I am still hooked and need more....more

Can not even label this book. I have seen this book around and read some amazing reviews and the blurb is well written. Just was not sure if it was for me because of the heroine age and the kidnapping plot. Took a chance since it was free and so happy I did. Beth Flynn is an amazing story teller.
I grew to love and had a good connection with all the characters. I fell in love with Grizz and I am questioning my sanity. The best part of the story is Ginny. She is not a clumsy or whiney heroine. She made her life the best she could with what was dealt to her.
The story has a dark and gritty vibe but is not overly done. Where there was darkness and some grittier moments there was also some sweet and sad moments. Once again I am questioning my sanity as I loved those grittier moments. Would not want to be on the other end of a mad Grizz.
The lay out of the book and how certain scenes played out is what made it work for me with the heroine age. Nine Minutes is unpredictable with some twist I never saw coming. Thank goodness book 2 is already out because I need some answers. ...more
