I finally get it in my hands to only stop at 35%. I couldn’t take it anymore, I seriously needed a break from Brooke. The girl just wouldn’t stop, between her whining and repeating I had to stop or I was literally going to smash my Ipad to pieces. If you read my review on Real (Real #1) by Katy Evans you know that I gave it a 5 star and its one of my favorite books of all time. I was truly in love with Remy’s character. I truly wanted to find out more about Remy and his story. So I decided to give it another go. It took me a week to pick it back up. I got back on that horse and rode it to the end. Did I find a happy ending? Yes. Was it all that I dreamt it would be? No it wasnt. I was a little sad that it came to an end and I was also a bit disappointed that it was slightly rushed.
Remy you will always be my number one sexy fighter with the most strongest and adorable heart in a man like yourself. In Mine (Real#2) Remy is sweeter and more understanding. The love he has for Brooke is unbeatable and he will do everything in his power to protect the ones he loves. When things get tough the tougher he gets and that is one of the reason why I love him so much. He doesnt complain or pussy foot around. He gets right to it and gets it done, that alone makes him a great man. Even after he is knocked down he makes hard decisions and go through it full speed ahead that is who Remy is. I was looking forward to getting to know more about his past but it wasn't enough. But Remy is still Remy to me, sexy as hell and unforgettably delicious.
Now, to the least favorite part of the book, Brooke I tried to like her I really did. But I just couldn’t and in the end it affected the story. I can’t even tell you how many times she repeated things. The other thing is that the girl reacted a lot before she thinks and it was seriously annoying. Between her not listening to what Remy asked her to do the point of being overly jealous. Im sorry to say that she acted more like a high school student than an adult. I understand fighting for your family and love. But by you being jealous and stupid. Stuff happens and the only person to blame is you and for that you don't have the right to be jealous or the right to be mad because you decided to act before you thought it through. I also understand the circumstance she was in, true when you are in that sort of state you act a certain way. However she was just over board for me. You would think she was the one with bipolar not Remy.
I’m sorry to say that I wasn't truly happy. It saddens me that I have to give it 3 1/2 stars. It was a good book, Katy Evans is a great Author we all read Real and it was an outstanding read in my eyes. I think that Mine had potential and could’ve been outstanding as well. Will I continue the series? Yes,because theres still questions that I need answered like Melanie whats her story? Also I will continue because I think Katy Evans is an outstanding writer and will be able to surprise me again. You can’t be perfect every time and for that you shouldn’t judge a person...(less)
