Not that I'm dogging it just warning you that it is a book full of numbers. This is the second time I've read this book and learned less this time but read it more to extract out tables and snippits of information for later.
The basic premise of the book was that two statisticians were searching to understand better who a millionaire is in America so that they could better advise others on how to advertise to these affluent groups. They found out many misconceptions that society has placed on millionaires. what we think of a millionaires we tend to think of rock stars, movie stars, and Bill Gates. The data shows that most millionaires are more often small business owners and much less often to be doctors.
The most interesting part outside of the general actions of millionaires is the designation PAW and UAW. Which stand for Prodigious Accumulator of Wealth and Under Accumulator of Wealth. The principle is based on your time working and salary how much wealth do you have? This is why Doctors are generally UAW because they have a very high salary but accumulate very little wealth.
My general single thought from this book, If you want to be wealthy do what wealthy people do.(less)

This was amazing and I was surprised and how little there was about Joseph and the General goings on that are recorded in the Doctrine and Covenants. He really spent a lot of time outside the general saints and it is fascinating to get to know more about that time from a member of the twelve travelling the world. What a great man, I wish he shared more feelings about his family but his general feelings of Jesus and the Gospel and especially his testimony are very intriguing.

By no means exhaustive considering he had like 23 journals. This is more of some short stories from his life some are really good (like bringing his wife back to life). Some stories you've heard before in sunday school. But a short read and a fun sunday afternoon kind of book.(less)

He helps to define the different ways to think about your life from the financial point of view. Do you collect liabilities or assets? I first listened to this twice on tap on the way to Kansas and read it again later. His way of thinking about career has changed my thinking and also the way I want to raise my children. I will definitely read it again.
He has a good mix of narrative and helpful exercises to help you get the picture.
I read it again because I enjoyed it so much the first three times(less)

If you know me in the least you've probably heard me talk about Dave Ramsey. This book is actually an intro into Dave. His class is much more exhaustive but this is a good starter for those just getting interested or have heard him on the radio a lot and want the flow of a well written book.
This one is only 200 pages or so and is filled with real examples and stories. It's a real easy read.(less)

Its a work of fiction first of all and it doesn't walk a good line between fiction and self-help. I like my fiction with a good moral but it must be good fiction to start with and this is a little too contrived for me. It sounds like a campfire or fireside story meant to teach a valid point but the story drags on for several hours when it should have lasted 309 minutes.
My wife thoroughly enjoyed this book and thinks that I haven't been to enough crappy meetings in my time. I thought the information was very valid but just boring, hey like a crappy meeting. I love irony.(less)

The first time was in high school and I had no idea what it was really about. Now its fun to look at yourself and see how much of each mouse is in you as well as analyzing others.(less)

But the book is about presenting yourself in a better light, to you and others around you. Especially using positive motivation to move yourself toward your goals. I just didn't enjoy the presentation of the book.(less)

Feynman attempts to write this book for a lay audience but I nearly have a PhD in physical chemistry and I struggled through it. But wow it was incredible when I got it. I don't think I'll ever tire of learning more about light because it is so fascinating and unlike anything in our universe. I don't think I would recommend this book for anyone that doesn't have a basic understanding of both classical mechanics and quantum mechanics.(less)

Not to say there isn't more myth in this book as well, but I feel I gained an understanding of his motivation to act the way he did. He was an imperfect man who did more good than harm in this world. He's a new favorite person of mine.(less)
