I trudge on and things started to get a little into place and was beginning to be understandable around the 3rd chapter.... I really thought I would be wow-ed by this book because the synopsis is very intriguing, but the book was just ehh. I liked it, but there was just something that lacked. The ending was nice, but Romeo has just become plain annoying or plainly one of those guys you just get tired of reading (douche) lol I will still read the sequel to this book. ...more

There are at least 3 vivid steamy scenes especially for those whose imagination easily gets away from them =) and the 'Sh*t' word is also thrown here and there.
It took me awhile in the beginning to get into the book because the style is much different than what I'm use to reading. Don't expect 'TOUCH' to be sugar coated and gum drops. This is not to say that I didn't like it because I DEFINITELY did! It was AWESOME! I enjoyed it! The characters all have strong personas and you can easily connect with each one. Each character will have you on a up and down emotional spiral with their own individual life story. Deznee is so not your usual typical heroine/protagonist. She is one kick-butt, take no crap, sarcastic, and adrenaline junky kind of girl! In the beginning I felt like she was taking things a little too over board with the whole "what can I do to piss-off dad". But in the end I empathized for her and for the reasons she has for her madness. Kale is the most adorable, innocent, but at the same time lethal kind of guy. He puts a whole new twist to devotion/possessiveness and just makes it sexy and appealing. The ending was like a breathe of fresh air because it didn't leave me hanging or disappointed, but the last paragraph did leave me a bit confused. Hopefully 'TOXIC' Book #2 will clear that up for me. Jus Accardo did an excellent job in mixing gut wrenching suspense, romance, and action pack scenarios into 'TOUCH' that I'm dying to read what happens next. A DEFINITE MUS READ!

It easily grabs your attention with upbeat humor as well as believable scenarios, and a bit of rockabilly kick-assery! Eloise and Jo take turns in voicing out their point of views. I enjoyed reading Eloise most because she was modest and even though she knows how to hold her own she doesn't show it. Jo on the other hand, I wasn't too keen on. She was way too focused on guys and fell for Eldric (as in love) way too quickly, right from the start. The male characters are lovable. Lucas and Eldric are swoon worthy, and Devin just makes me want him as my BFF too. The story wasn't so much as a big bang that would blow your mind, but it was enjoyable and romantic in some sorts. It's just that the fae/faery stories are really big these days that you have more than likely have already read the various plots/takes, I just wished there was some more pizzaz or that certain something that can make it more distinguishable than the rest. In the ending, I was left feeling that it was more Jo's story instead of Eloise which kind of bummed me out. All in all, Stolen Away by Alyxandra Harvey is amusing, humorous, and goes great with a cup of tea! ...more

A well written and sweet story of a love that knows no bounds, although with every flip of the page will kill you bit by very bit. Leaving you with a mountain of used tissues.
I was drawn into Wren's sorrow. You can't help but to wonder if you would do what Wren is capable of, bringing back the dead. Just one of the powers she is still trying to understand. It's not farfetched to love someone so dearly, and having Danny be her first love is easy to grasp and understand as to why Wren did what she did. To love someone either a boyfriend, a husband, a girlfriend, or even a grandparent, the way she devoutly loves Danny; I would have made the same choice and deed if I was capable of the act. (I miss you Grandpa!)
Amy Garvey has done a great job in pulling her readers into the story not only in thought but with their hearts. Putting the reader in Wren's mind and experiencing the pain and tribulations right along with her. I fell in love with Danny! He isn't your typical zombie. He had emotions, thoughts, and no mindless cravings for brains. He was such the ideal boyfriend that even in death and rising he only thought of Wren. In life he was the person who made everyone smile, and the one who would make a fool of himself just to cheer you up. And he is the prime example of a wonderful person whose life was just cut short. Garvey has such a lyrical and ballad like form of writing that I'm sure everyone will enjoy! The ending though heart breaking, gave me the feeling of 'closure.' But if Amy Garvey decides to have a sequel, I won't in the least bit mind opening the wound back up!
Thank you Amy and HarperTEEN for Cold Kiss!!...more
