I've always really liked the spiritual aspect of these books, but I really love how different religions are intertwined. I love that Sister Mary Angela is so accepting of the fledglings as Street Car volunteers and the way she accepts the Cherokee legends. I love that so much of the religious aspect focuses on finding the similarities between faiths rather than the difference.
I loved watching Zoey start to really come into her own as a High Prietess of Nyx in this book. And the advancement of her circle of friends as well.
I loved the development/ growth/ maturing of Aphrodite's character. Even early in the series, I felt like there was much more to Aphrodite's character, and I'm glad to see her changing.

I started to get tired of Zoey constantly being down on herself especially about "being a ho."
Overall though, I'm still enjoying the books, and I'm anxious to start Untamed(less)

This might be my favorite YA vampire book (and hopefully series) to date...heck, maybe even may favorite vampire book period.
First of all, I absolutely love, love, love Zoey. I don't care how much that makes me sound like a tween fan girl. Bella Swan she is not!
Second, really liked how authentic the characters felt. They felt like they were real teenagers not just dumbed down adults. I think this probably has a lot to do with the book being co-authored by an actual teenager, but I felt like they did an excellent job.
The third thing I really loved about this book was all the elements of paganism and ritual that was brought into the book. I felt like this gave the book an extra dimension that I haven't seen in other YA vampire books.
I finished this book and immediately left for the ilbrary to greab the next three. I'm really excited to dig into the series.(less)

I will say, I actually liked the way this book ended. I heard a rumor this was the last book, and frankly, I kind of like this book as the end of the series. It wrapped up some elements (the god awful fairy storyline), but left if just open ended enough for me to imagine my ideal conclusion (aka Sam and Sookie living happily ever after). Even if there are a couple more books left, I think I might just leave the series at this.(less)

So it probably goes without saying I loved this short story!
I would love a complete re-telling from Four's point of view in the future.(less)

I found Still Waters to be a bit lacking, and Run Rabbit Run definitely made up for it. There was action, adventure, romance, and ridiculousness. And of course the Buffy references were plentiful!(less)
