I love Lane and Delilah in Ignite (Book One in the Wildwood series). So I knew Lane and Delilah's story Smolder was going to be a must read for me. Delilah is a woman I can admire. She's strong, opinionated, feisty, and not scared to go after what she wants—and what she wants is the oldest Gallagher brother, Lane. Delilah has desired to have Lane since high school, but the man flat-out ran from her, and that infuriated her. Lane is straight-up ignorant when it comes to his feelings for Delilah he also stubborn, arrogant, ridiculous, elusive…yet he’s sexy, gorgeous and sweet man. Yes, sweet. Delilah loathes his sweet side; she wanted to hate Lane, because the man makes her a frustrated mess of a woman, and besides, he's the only man that has ever given her the feeling of butterflies in her stomach. Yes, Lane, the irritating, sexy man is the real deal for Delilah, and she’s been chasing him for years to no avail. Delilah is at her whit’s end, and she’s tired of waiting. She’s fixing to take matters into her own hands, since the stubborn man can't seem to man-up and admit his feelings for her.
Lane has wanted Delilah for years. She's beautiful, sweet, funny, smart, hotheaded, impulsive and sexy as all get-out. Lane has it bad for Delilah, but he's scared—sacred of becoming like his father. Lane knows he and Delilah weren't meant for each other. Not after the example his parents set for him as a kid when it came to relationships, so why couldn't Delilah see that? Lane only has one problem: he can’t stay away from the woman. He needs to stay away from the beautiful, sexy Delilah, but his own manhood is betraying him as the woman destroys his defenses.
Lane and Delilah are hilarious together. Unlike typical romance novel style, their roles are reversed. Delilah is the aggressor and Lane is the one playing hard to get. The chase between Lane and Delilah sets this story on fire. Smolder is one scorching-hot romance. I recommend as a must read. ...more

Monica Murphy has outdone herself with Katie and Ethan's tragic, forbidden, but absolutely beautiful, heart-touching love story. This story is definitely different and darker than other Murphy novels, but boy, did she nail the dark romance genre. I’ve been reading a lot of dark romance lately, and this is the first book I’ve come across that starts with a child abduction. There's no doubt that the kidnapping and rape of children is sick and the most sadistic and perverted of all crimes, so I was in awe of the way Murphy didn’t keep my focus on that vile ugly part of the story. She took me to the beautiful side of this evil, and that is Katie and Ethan's forever love; a love that, as impossible as it may sound, would not have been if not for the awful wickedness hadn't happen. Well done, Murphy, for showing readers the beauty within the cruel atrociousness.
Let me start by strongly recommending that you read the first book, Never Tear Us Apart, in this two-book series first. It gives readers the background of Katie and Ethan's past, along with showing the present of where they find each other again. There is no way to get the full depth of Katie and Ethan's heartfelt story without reading the first book. Okay, with that said, let’s get to the romance of Katie and Ethan in Never Let You Go.
In Never Tear Us Apart (book 1) I was left hanging on one heck of cliffhanger with Katie just discovering Ethan's deceit. I gotta tell you, I was scared, wondering how Katie was going to act toward Ethan. But I'm so glad that Katie didn't fail me. She didn’t pull a heartless move, and could understand why Ethan would choose to do what he did.
I was swooning over Katie and Ethan once they got past the reason they shouldn't be together. Peace was something they both wanted—peace to live their lives and be together. But with their horrific past, there always seems to be those who can't allow them to have their happily ever after. And just when Katie and Ethan think they may have a chance, the past comes back to finish what was left unfinished eight years ago. Only this time, Katie’s no longer a child.
Katie and Ethan's never-should-have-been love story transformed into a beautiful, forever love that had me cheering them the whole way. They deserve their happy ending after all their struggles, regardless of whether or not their love was forbidden to some. I highly recommend Katie and Ethan's dark, steamy hot and forbidden love as an emotional must read.

And My Prefect Mistake is another awesome book to be put on your TBR list if you’re like me and adore this genre. I'm also falling in love with author Kelly Siskind—she’s a fantastic writer and storyteller. This woman has an amazing talent. She has the skill for writing extremely hysterical rom com. I’m always in tears of laughter each time I read one of her novels. This rib-tickling humor that Siskind brings to her characters, easily makes me forget that their fictional.
Shay's now ex-boyfriend has just broken up with her—the boyfriend she’s given...no, wasted, the last five years of her life with. The boyfriend she renamed the "The Dick" because she sacrificed her life, her identity, her career, and even her love of food for Richard “The Dick.” Well, no more. Shay's black bra life, known to her as losing her life for The Dick's life, are being replaced by what she calls the Red Bra life of getting back to the woman she use to be. The spontaneous, confident woman, with a little wild and lots of fun. Yep, that's what the red bra represents to her. And now that Shay is getting her life back on track, the next man who tries to come between her and her red bra life better watch out. And that lucky man happens to be Kolton, the jerk who knocks the Terminator woman of fury on her ass, literally—or as he's better known to Shay as the “asshole.”
Kolton, too, has been given a raw deal at love that’s left him with a beware-of-love and women sign around his heart. But Kolton's love story is a break your heart one, no evil ex in his life. And then Kolton runs into Shay, the woman of all scorned women, or better known to Kolton as the Bitch. Yep, Shay and Kolton made one heck of a great impression on each other when they first meet.
Shay and Kolton are absolutely hilarious together. Their tempers are hot and so is their sexy bedroom scenes. But their past love history is definitely getting in the way of their present feelings, matters of the heart for each other, and they both can't seem to leave the past where it belongs.
There's so much I wanted to share about Kolton, but it would be a huge spoiler, so I need to hold my tongue. I will say that because of the heartbreaking situation that happened seven years ago in Kolton's life, that the man stole and owns my heart for what he had to face alone. I would also like to mention that I love the four side characters, which are Shay and Kolton's best friends, and I can't wait to get their stories, which are going to be the next two books in the Over the Top series.
Thank you, Kelly Siskind, for tons of laughs, and the steamy, hot scenes in Shay and Kolton's hate to love romance. I highly recommend My Perfect Mistake as a must read.
WOW! Thorn is the kind of bad boy that all us ladies want. Thorn goes from bad boy to almost priest, to becoming a beautiful, good man, and it doesn't WOW! Thorn is the kind of bad boy that all us ladies want. Thorn goes from bad boy to almost priest, to becoming a beautiful, good man, and it doesn't hurt that he's sexy. I have always loved the bother's best friend falling in love with the little sister romance and Jen Mclaughlin has just written a heart-rending one that’s going to touch you deeply.
Thorn, Mikey and Mikey's little sister, Rose, all grew up together. All three had grown up on the rough streets of Chicago. Mikey and Thorn were living the hard, fast life, drinking and womanizing. Rose has had a crush on Thorn forever, even though she knew he was a man-slut. But that all changes for Thorn one tragic night. A night that he couldn't take back, a decision he couldn't change, and now Rose's life will never be the same because of that decision. So the only way for Thorn to redeem him himself is to make a promise to change his bad boy lifestyle and to watch over and protect Rose.
Thorn and Rose have both been hiding a secret form each other. They both have feelings for each other, but have never acted on those feelings. For Thorn, he could never be worthy of Rose's love, not after his part in that tragic night, and Rose couldn't take Thorn's dream of becoming a priest away from him—a dream of helping others. Oh, but little do Thorn and Rose know that they’re both missing the bigger picture and their love is the answer.
Thorn and Rose’s life changed in two very different ways because of that one night, but out of that horribleness, they will find the good that comes from the bad. Rose's love will give Thorn the redeeming forgiveness he longs for, and for Rose, the love she thought she’d never have. I recommend Lust is the Thorn as a beautiful love story of redemption.
Oh, how I’ve been waiting for Storm's story, and Carla Swafford did not disappoint when it came to bad boy Storm. I knew Storm was going to be trouble Oh, how I’ve been waiting for Storm's story, and Carla Swafford did not disappoint when it came to bad boy Storm. I knew Storm was going to be trouble with a capital T. Storm is every bit as dangerous as his name. And after the childhood he experienced, plus just recently being released from prison for a three-year stretch after doing time for the Brothers of Mayhem MC, you better think twice before you touch him unless you’re seeking a death wish. Yep, Storm has a problem with anyone touching him. Storm is now the president of the Brothers of Mayhem, even though he’s only twenty-one. But it makes since when his grandfather and father started the motorcycle club and his grandfather is no longer around and his father is still in prison. That’s fixing to change, however, when his father is suddenly released for good behavior. Storm hates his father and he's determined not to let his father have control over the Brothers of Mayhem MC again.
Mary Jane Parker is in need of Storm and his motorcycle club's protection after a local gang called Thirty-Seconds threatened her and kills her business partner. Storm has never dealt with a woman like Mary Jane before. So there's no way he can pass up the chance to get to know beautiful Mary Jane. Same goes for Mary Jane; this sexy, dangerous biker has her all wound up and her heart racing full throttle. Mary Jane is Storm’s calm, and Storm is Mary Jane's cyclone.
Storm and Mary Jane's romance is fast, steamy hot and it's just a matter of time before they crash. Mary Jane's love is the calm in the raging Storm. Full Heat is a must read.

First, the heartbreakingly accurate portrail of how the death of a loved one steals your own life away from you. Krane lost the love of his life, the person who was his very reason for living. The second is L.K. Collins awesome writing. She’s a talented storyteller. I love when an author can actually create an amazing storyline without doing what so many other authors do, and that is play off the miscommunication between the hero and heroine. When an author uses lack of communication between the two main characters as a plot device, or as a way to create tension, I just want to scream. The third is Krane and Ivy are two amazing characters. Krane being the strong, carefree, bad boy MMA fighter, to see and feel his brokenness after loosing the love of his life, totally ripped my heart to pieces. And the same for Zoe; her tenderness and beauty touched my heart. And then when Krane and Ivy came to realize their love for each other, that after the death of Zoe leaving them destroyed and empty, that for Krane he could have a second chance at love, a love that can fill the hole of emptiness in his heart. And for Ivy finding her first love in a man she least expected to find it, the one she never believed could be the love of her life. Yes, 3 Breaths was a beautiful, touching story about loss, pain, hope and that you can find love again in last person you would think you would find it in. I highly recommend 3 Breaths as a must read. Thank you L.K. Collins
WARNING: You must have plenty of tissues—no, strike that—just grab a bucket to hang your head in and let the ugly cry pour, because L.P. Dover is goin WARNING: You must have plenty of tissues—no, strike that—just grab a bucket to hang your head in and let the ugly cry pour, because L.P. Dover is going to totally rip your heart out and then shred it to pieces. The prologue had me crying big ugly tears. At least Dover just rips the Band-Aid right off at the beginning with Summer and her husband Austin, so for that, I guess I’m thankful. But Dover did put my heart back together with sexy, gorgeous NFL football player, Evan Townsend, comes into Summer's life and invades her heart, yep, that put a big smile on my face. So I will forgive L.P. Dover just a little for the emotional torture after meeting Evan.
Summer was there the night the love of her heart, her beautiful MMA fighter husband, was killed. And she has been living in her own nightmare of darkness of that night for the last two years. Summer is now suffering from night terrors, so she moves back to her hometown, North Carolina to live with her twin sister, Lara. She hopes that the move and being with her twin will get her past that night and be able to start living again.
Evan has been keeping a watchful eye on Summer, but keeps his distance for now. He knows she's broken and withered inside, and he will be patient and wait for the right time to show Summer that he wants to be the man to show her she still a beautiful woman and that she very much alive. Evan's not trying to take Summer's love for her husband away from her; he’s trying to show her that something good can come from something bad. That his love can fill the empty hole and loneliness in her heart…if she just gives him a chance.
Summer and Evan's story is a story of second chance love. It's an emotional heartbreak to see what Summer goes through, but it's also beautiful and heart-lifting to witness Evan's love brings healing to Summer. I love this beautiful man Evan so much. His courage, strength and love for Summer, the only woman he desires and has been waiting to give his love to. I highly recommend Catching Summer as a must read. ...more
I fell in love with the hot Ride Hard cover and knew I had to read this book. Ride Hard reminds me so much of Katie McGarry's Thunder Road series, ex I fell in love with the hot Ride Hard cover and knew I had to read this book. Ride Hard reminds me so much of Katie McGarry's Thunder Road series, except Laura Kaye's Raven Riders is the steamy, adult romance version of the motorcycle club. I love that the Raven Riders MC were more law-abiding than outlaw, but even these good guys had their outlaw moments for breaking the law.
Haven and Dare are amazing together. They both have tragic pasts, and still carry scars from it. Haven's father definitely did one heck of a job destroying Haven's self-esteem; she’s nothing but a shell of a young woman when she comes to Raven Riders MC. Dare's past has left him with a vow to never love anyone again, because the last time he allowed himself to love, he lost them and he blames himself for their death. When Haven is placed under Dare's protection, he tries hard to stay committed to his vow, but his attraction to Haven is something he has never felt for a woman before and he can't resist. Haven is an introvert due to her father's abuse, but Dare brings Haven out of her shell she’s lived in all her life, and he also brings the woman out of the shy girl that longs to feel love and be touched by this dark, beautiful man, Dare.
Haven and Dare have some majorly intense chemistry going on between them. Their romance is truly one that had my heart racing while their steamy romance made my heart flutter right along with theirs. These two are made for each, and the fifteen-year age difference is just a big, beautiful sexy plus in their romance. I love Ride Hard, Haven, Dare and all the rough, gorgeous Raven Riders man. This is my kind of MC guys. I highly recommend it as a must read. ...more
Shana Vanterpool has really given readers a true bad boy in Bach Bachmen. Alcoholic, check. Drug addict, check. Womanizer, check. Manwhore, check. Tot Shana Vanterpool has really given readers a true bad boy in Bach Bachmen. Alcoholic, check. Drug addict, check. Womanizer, check. Manwhore, check. Total Asshole, double check. I usually love the bad boy, because most of the bad boys I read about are really good guys underneath. But Bach is the real deal. I had a hard time liking Bach, and didn't grow to love Bach until I found out the reason for his bad boy ways. And then the boy broke my heart and it all became clear as to why Bach carries this bad boy persona. Bach's self-destructiveness was definitely taking him toward a serious meltdown if he didn't find help. With Dylan being Bach's childhood best friend, who also went through his own childhood abuse, Bach and Dylan only had each other and both were on a self-destructive path, until Dylan had a wakeup call that changed his life. When Dylan tells Bach he has enlisted and he's being shipped out to Afghanistan, Bach starts a fast downward spiral into parties, drugs, and women that's out of his control. Dylan was the one holding Bach together when the night terrors of his childhood abuse would revisit him and without Dylan, Bach is completely lost. That is until Bach agrees to watch over Dylan's girlfriend, Harley Evans.
Dylan was Harley’s forever, her true love, until Dylan did the unforgivable in Harley's eyes, she had vowed to herself never be with any man who is in the service. Harley is brokenhearted over Dylan's deceit and breaks up with him without giving Dylan a chance to explain why he had to enlist. Dylan still loves Harley and asks Bach to watch over his girl till he can return from Afghanistan and try to win her back. But the more time Bach spends with Harley, he starts having feelings he’s never felt for another person and realizes he's falling in love with his best friend’s girl.
Harley was really a love/hate character for me. I could understand why she had her rule about not being with any guy in the service. Even if I didn't agree with her in Dylan's situation. And I could also see why Dylan was afraid of telling her. I will leave my thoughts at that about Harley and Dylan's relationship. I will except that Harley was meant to be with Bach. Harley is good for Bach and without Harley's love, Bach would have definitely destroyed himself. I just hope Dylan will get his happily ever after in the next book in this series, because I love Dylan and he deserves a woman to love him.
I have one problem, and I don't want to sound like a prude, but with a lifestyle like Bach's, where he has unsafe sex with multiple partners, and when he just had a threesome the night before…I would have liked to have seen some safe sex practice and responsibility taken with Harley and Bach when they had their first time together. Not that Bach didn't try to tell Harley to wait and let him be tested first, or at least buy some condoms, because he did. So, I at least have to give it to Bach for trying to be the smart one. But Harley couldn't wait and seduced Bach. I say this because there is a lot of young readers who will read Bach and Harley's story, and in this day and time, with the number of diseases out there, I just would have liked it more had they practice safe sex in this scene.
I did enjoy Destroy Me and I do recommend it as a heartbreaking and heart-touching love story of finding the one you are meant for, the true love of your life.
