I bought this book on Thursday and couldn't stop reading it until I finish it on Friday! This will be a short review, because I don't want to spoil any part of Brooke and Ryan's story for readers. I love Brooke and Ryan so much and their story will grab your heart, and break it also. I'd like to praise author S. Walden for writing this novel. I agree with how she did an intense, emotional scene, and for what she said about this scene in her letter at the end. Thank you, S. Walden, for Brooke's story! I recommend Going Under as an awesome read with a beautiful, healing message. ...more

Daria Snadowsky takes a serious subject and adds a twist of humor to it, keeping the responsible outlook on sex forefront. I loved to see every teenager read this novel. I'm sure if teens did, the backseat of a car would be seen in a different light. I also wish girls would ask guys to do what Dominique did when faced with the decision to have sex with a guy.
Dominique (Dom) is coming home for summer vacation after her first year in college. She’s still not over her break up with Wes. For Dom, when she fell in love with Wes, it was supposed to be forever. But this summer, Dom is going to learn about love, passion, and friendship. And a gorgeous guy named Guy is going to be the one who helps Dom see she’s not as black and white as she thought she was. That sometimes life is just gray.
Anatomy of a Single Girl is a wonderful, heart felt story about Dom's sexual relationships, but it's also about her relationship with her parents, Amy her girlfriend, and the three guys in her life: Wes, the guy she fell in love with that broke her heart. Guy, who teaches her passion. And Calvin, who teaches her about friendship, and that hugs are really underrated. But most of all, she teaches herself that being a single girl is not being an inadequate person. That being single is okay!
I highly recommend Anatomy of a Single Girl as an awesome read for teen girls as well as teen boys, but it's not just for the teens. Everyone will enjoy and fall in love with Dom's story.
My favorite quotes:
“Can you write back for me ‘Sweet dreams’?” Amy smirks naughtily. “Sure…but can I leave out the first s and an e?” “Huh?” I picture it in my mind: Wet dreams.
The moment we got together still ranks as the most magical in my life, though I should’ve taken the Porta Potti as a sign of where things would end up.
Amy then demands “a visual.” Guy has already friended me on Facebook, so I pull up his profile photo on my phone. “Holy hotness! Break me off a piece of that!”
The only thing that replicates it is the vibrator I bought when he started camp. It’s much better than the wand massager I used before. It’s still not as fun as actually being with him—“ “Thank you for those lovely images.” ...more

After reading Cecilia Robert’s TRULY, MADLY series, I was definitely saying, yes, yes, give me that book! Even though I had no idea what 'A Need so Insatiable' was about, I was all over it. As soon as I read the first chapter, I was like, OMG, Robert's has written a book about one of my favorite kind of romances. I love romance with an opera storyline, and Robert's gave me a wild and beautiful one with a delicious, sexy maestro named Rafael Vee Rees, and a beautiful tough, tattooed, pierced damsel in distress singer, Sophie Fisher.
Rafael and Sophie had a childhood love, but because of a family tragedy, were separated. Now, it’s been years since they’ve seen each other, but they never forgotten each other or the promise that one broke.
Rafael is a proud, gorgeous, sexy man that has no problem filling his bed with beautiful women. And doesn't like people sticking their noses into his private life. He’s only cares about his music, until opera singer, Sophie Fisher, with her butterfly tattoo, pierced lip, and sporting combat boots, rides into his life on a scooter, flips him off, literally cutting him off and cutting right into his life. Sophie refers to the maestro as freakin' Rafael Van Rees, Mr. Untouchable. Though she would very much love to touch this god of the opera world. There's also something very familiar about Mr. Untouchable, which she also can't get a grip on.
Love like Rafael’s and Sophie’s is destined to be, no matter how much time passes, or what dark secrets surface, or who tries to stop it. I highly recommend A NEED SO INSATIABLE as a beautiful opera love story must read.
Some of my Favorite Quotes:
Oh, what a pretty dirty mouth you have, Butterfly. How a mouth so pretty can utter such a word and still look beautiful and sexy is beyond me.
My body tightens with need, acting like this girl is the sole reason God put men on earth. I tip my head back and stare at the domed ceiling. Thank you, Big Guy.
I squint to get a better look so I can throttle her when I track her down, and she...flips me off. She fucking flipped me off! I laugh, not sure if I should be offended, or if I should run after her.
***One Of My Favorite Rafael and Sophie swoons***
"When I finally kiss you, really kiss you, baby," he says in a dark, low voice. "There'll be no room for doubt about my feelings for you. I'll fill every little part of this beautiful, curvy body of yours. I won't just kiss you, Sophie. I'll be priming you for what I've wanted to do from the second I saw you." He traces his tongue along the shell of my ear, then gently nips my earlobe. He slides one hand up, brushes his knuckles softly along my cheek and long my collarbone. ...more

We’re given more insight into Isabel and Tom by hearing from both their points of view and also a few chapters from Isabel’s brother, Tony. I absolutely love Tom. Everything we knew about him in Sweetest Taboo is brought into light of who he really is as a person, and his marriage, as we see his thoughts and feelings. I truly fell in love with him. Now with understanding of who Tom is and seeing what kind of marriage he had with his wife, I have to say that Isabel frustrated me some in this book. Though I still gave her credit for having to learning from life’s lessons. In the first book, Isabel was a smart girl and mature beyond her years, but wow, did she ever act flaky in this one. I couldn't believe what she did. But both Isabel and Tom had trust issues going on and with no commutation between them, this was definitely going to cause problems in their relationship.
Isabel is almost twenty and her freshman year of college is behind her, and she’s been separated from Tom for a year. She comes home for the summer, to which she spends with Tom. They work out their problems and make plans to finally be together. But Isabel is not telling Tom everything while she was away at college, and when she goes back to college, Isabel gets herself into a bad situation because of her unfaithfulness and lust.
Tainted Love is a heartbreaker for me because of my feelings for Tom, and with the cliffhanger ending, it left me really upset with Isabel. But I can't wait for the final book in the Sweetest Taboo series because I really want these two to get it right after all the things that have gone wrong. I recommend Tainted Love as a bittersweet story that will capture your heart for a forbidden love.
Sweetest Taboo is a heartfelt, emotional story. Eva Marquez tore my heart out with Isabel’s forbidden love for her teacher, Mr. Stevens. I agree withSweetest Taboo is a heartfelt, emotional story. Eva Marquez tore my heart out with Isabel’s forbidden love for her teacher, Mr. Stevens. I agree with the author that this kind of relationship between student and teacher can and does happen, and I didn’t go into Sweetest Taboo judge-y. I kept an open mind, free my personal feelings on the moral right or wrong of Isabel and Tom's relationship. I love Isabel’s character. She is not a dumb girl, but she’s a very mature fifteen year old girl, and she proves how smart and reasonable she can be all the way thorough this story. I also loved the curveball Marquez threw at me at the end of this book; I thought I had Mr. Stevens figured out and BAM! The author said, Oh no, it’s not going to be that easy…then left me dangling from a torturous cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the second book, Tainted Love.
Sweetest Taboo is about a very serious subject matter, and I do agree that these types of relationships can't be looked at in the same way. Because like I said, Isabel has brains, and she isn’t and was never boy crazy—her focus is on education. She knew where she wanted to go to college and what she wanted to become and wanted to do with her life. And she still achieves this…she just never thought she would fall in love with a man twice her age. But she did, and it's a real love, not a teenage girl's crush.
I recommend Sweetest Taboo for all who can read Isabel's story with an open mind and an open heart. I absolutely fell in love Isabel's heart-wrenching love story and highly recommend it! ...more
