This is a funny story that will leave you with many lessons and lots of laughter. It was light but with a little touch of drama. A book that you would love to accompany you in a cold weather (like what we are having here now in the Philippines).
I liked the way the author has unfolded the story. It all started with this notebook that contains all of Eliza's secrets and fears. When she lost her notebook, she and her friends Clarice and Marissa has to find a way to get her notebook back. But in order to get her notebook she has to confront her fears and reveal her secrets. Also, possibly rekindle an old relationship with Cooper. Throughout the story she learned many lessons and at the end of it all she gained more than what she had lost.
It is a story of friendship and self discovery. (less)

It started with his girl named Darby who says she is done with love and doesn't believe in love anymore because of how her past relationships ended. Then here comes Jake who doesn't fit in all her bad expectations about men. No matter how hard she pushes him away he doesn't seem to go away.
This story is a quite cliche. You know anti-love girl meets guy that changed her views. I'm pretty sure we have seen that in numerous movies. But what I like about this book is that it is very sweet. It took time peeling away her hurt and her pessimistic point of views about love. It wasn't in a hurry. The book focused on how she was changed and not just merely said that she changed. Also, I like how she was able to compare her past relationships with the Disney princes and turned them into her case studies.
Darby is a funny character that you wouldn't mind coming along with as she falls in love. And Jake isn't bad to fall in love with too. The conversations that they shared plastered a smile on my face. All the time that I was reading this book I felt like I was Darby's friend and I watched her fall in love. This story drove home few points about love. First, love is not as pretty as fairy tales make it sound. There are problems that arises which the fairy tales forgot to mention. But you can't run away when the first sign of problem comes. You have to meet it head on and fight it. Second, the things that are worth having takes effort and a little risk. You don't fall in love and expect everything to go your way. You have to work hard for things to go your way. Never stop putting effort for the person that you have fallen in love with. Lastly, love is not something that will be wrapped in a pretty package and be handed to you. Life doesn't work like that. Sometimes you have to go out of your way to find love.

I sort of expected it since there is some kind of relationship going on between Jennifer Armentrout and cliffhangers. LOL. Anyways, the book is full of revelations about the Luxen and the Deadalous. I liked how it was able to explain a lot of things to the readers.
The first part of the book was torture. Torture for both the characters and for me as a reader. There was too much pain both physically and emotionally. I have never wanted a character to disappear so badly as much as I wanted Blake and Nancy to disappear. What they did to Katy was cruel.
The second part of the book the part where Daemon and Katy reunited started to lift things up a bit. I saw a different side of Daemon he is really one complex guy. And Katy also matured in this book, she was stronger and more patient.
Overall the book was a treat to fans like me. Not only did it lifted many mysteries surrounding the story but I get to be inside Daemon's head. LOL. And let me tell you his head is good place to be.
Action packed and a complete package of romance, comedy, friendship and family. I gotta say you did it again Jennifer. (less)

I finally understood my hated character in this series. Truth be told, i felt sorry for how things in her life went. However, at the end of the day, we all have choices and she made a poor one. I hope that in the third book she will eventually change. But i have a feeling that that is not how her character is going. I was surprise though that underneath all that evilness there is still a heart. I can't wait for the next one.(less)

I was constantly waiting for something exciting to happen. At first I thought that this will be another teenage love story. So I kept looking out for any signs of that romance. There was a tiny bit hint of romance but it never went to far as a crush. Then I realized I was reading a book with a character that is 15 years old I cant possibly expect them to have that full blown romance thing.
Though I expected romantic-comedy type of book, amazingly I wasn't disappointed at all. Part of the reason is that this is the first book that I have read that is not trying to make 15 year old girls grow up fast and start making out, second because the story put an emphasis about self discovery and life; how you can never plan every single moment of it life will really surprise you one way or another. And sometimes that surprise can bring out the best out of yourself. Lastly, I like how the book ended. Leaving the conclusion of what will happen to the readers.
