EverytMacKayla Lane is a little pink princess living at home in and working part time in a bar whilst she decides what she wants to do with her life. Everything is great and Mac's biggest problems in life are what colour to paint her nails, that is until the day she gets the phone call that her sister has been found dead in an alley in Dublin where she was studying at University. When the case is closed unsolved Mac takes it upon herself to go to Dublin and find out what happened to her sister and convince the Police to re-open the case.
Upon arriving in Dublin Mac starts experiencing strange visions. Seeing things that aren't there or at least aren't supposed to be there. Strangers tell her to leave the place or else she won't love much longer then Mac meets Jericho Barrons. A brooding hunk of a man. He takes Mac under his wing and starts to train her in what is now her new life....that of seeing the Fae.
This is the second time that I have read Darkfever and I loved it even more than the first time. The book starts slow and the story only really gets going once you are 30% in but then you are taken on such an amazing ride. The world building is brilliant and the Fae creatures that Ms Moning invents are fantastic. This is the type of book where you can lose yourself in the story.
There is no romance in Darkfever but there is so much potential in the man that is Jericho Barrons. I love the character development that we get with Mac. She starts off as a pink princess and transforms into a fighting machine. I know some people don't like her and you may find her annoying too but I don't mind her at all. I love this series it is one of my favourites, I cannot recommend it enough and I am giving Darkfever 5 stars....more

Whatever you do DO NOT read this book before IwaM because it does contain spoilers.
I missed out on this but Jason Luke did a Facebook tour earlier this year where fans suggested scenes for characters from IwaM and Mr Luke would write what happened. In some of the scenes Mr Luke appears and interacts with his characters too. It is interesting to see what Me Luke thinks of Jonah.
This is a great stop gap book whilst we wait for In Love with a Master, which is out June 19. I loved the scenes what the fans came up with. Mr Luke you are a genius to be able to write such scenes live. My favourites are where Jason Luke appears, especially when interacting with Jonah.
A really great fun book, I loved it and I’m giving it 5 stars. ...more

Yes there are reviews out there that will give snippets away but I urge you to think carefully before finding out more about the plot than what the blurb says. As I said I think that would spoil your experience of reading it.
I will say however, that this book is twisted…really fucking twisted. There are scenes that will upset you, some in particular involving child abuse. It is not pleasant but you need to get through this if you can to understand the characters and what happens next.
Now at one point I thought the reason for revenge was utterly stupid and I got really annoyed until Carnegie the talking caterpillar…I kid you not….helped with the explanation.
Bang will bring out a range of emotions in you whilst reading. It will have you fanning your face (yes it is steamy), crying, sitting on the edge of your seat, screaming angry, hopeful and sad. It does end on a cliffhanger so if you particularly hate these it might be best waiting for book 2.
I have read one of E K Blair’s books before and really disliked it but this one was awesome. Can’t wait for Black Lotus #2. Bang gets 5 stars from me. ...more
