The problem with this book was that it followed to much like that of Pillars of the Earth, which took place 200 years prior, and happens to be my favorite book. (Thus I am prejudice towards it). World Without End had much more happening during its tale: Kingsbridge soap-opera, crazy Edward III and his initiation of the 100 Years War, the plague and the Age of Pestilence, and just the regular construction in Kingsbridge, it just did not come together like Pillars, thus four stars. If I had read this book first, my rating might have been different....more
