Meyer created a wonderfully original world in which I enjoyed getting lost into. I have always had an interest in asian culture and as such I immensely enjoyed the setting in this novel. Cinder was such a strong character, the kind of female character we unfortunately do not see enough of in YA. Kai was also an interesting character; tortured by the decisions he has to make at such a young age. As for the villain, Queen Levana, I cannot wait to learn more about her in the next instalment. The only complaint I have about this book was that it was quite predictable but still very enjoyable nonetheless. Now to wait until 2013 to find out what happens next...!!(less)
