What I found was a familiar story that was exciting and has held my interest it is just different enough from the film I know and love to be held apart and enjoyed in it's own right. The book develops slowly and all the early breadcrumbs set us up for a rollercoaster ride when they get to the island, the has kept me on the edge of my seat and with my heart in my mouth and blowing the film out the water. The book was far more frightening because it portrayed a believable scenario that has a foot firmly in scientific possibility. ...more

This is a great story it is a little slow but it kept me reading as I wanted to see what would happen. The battle at the end was epic and I am not a big fan of this kind of epic fantasy but I think this book has changed my mind I will so be reading book 2 because I want to know who the old man is and if the twins are bad like I think they are so many questions... and more books to read to find the answers. ...more

The growth of the Doc is really something to see, it is so well written that is feels right and you don't question the 180 he does in regards to his interactions with the crew. When Livewire come back all you want to do is cry but you cant because then you wouldn't be able to read what happens next and you really want to know!!...more

In this one we get to see him get together with his mate. Now while I still like Pax in his book the thing that drove me almost insane was Gigi, Remy's mate from book 1, he was so hyper and over the top that I wanted him to get blasted out of the nearest airlock. My biggest problem was that Gigi insanity was catching and we got this whole debacle of the slugs. It may have been set up as a funny situation to make the reader laugh but for me it went from funny to farce in two seconds flat. So all in all this one was a disappointment and not due to the protagonists but the secondary characters. I just hope that this turn in the feel of the story is an anomaly and not the tone for the rest of the series!!...more

I have said this before and I will say it again now, these books are like little bits of chocolate, you know its bad for you but you just cant stop your self!! There are a couple of authors who are like this and I will happily buy anything they write. There is something special about this set of books and I would defy anyone not to be charmed by this story and the people in it. Yes I am bias and yes I am proud to be so but that doesn't take away from the fact this is a really sweet little story about really good people with interesting lives and there in lies the magic of this authors work. She manages to write about interesting people and you are drawn in and need to know more about them and yes I will and have bought more of this series.

Brave won out because it was a story about seeing beyond the surface and being who you were born to be. I loved that Raine was trying to buck a system that prized conformity and he was bucking that system and doing silently by living and being who he needed to be. Ash, or the beast, is scared inside and out and the story of the two of them is not only beautiful but one that will stay with me. This is the first book in a series and it is a series I am itching to read more of as I really want to know what happens to Ash's brother and the rest of the gang, so book 2 here I came.......more

I will be very honest here, I have procrastinated in reading this book because I was so very worried that I would be disappointed due to my love of his first book. I was really worried that this book just would not stand up to the hight bar that I have held the author to due to my adorations of that first book,Bear Otter and the kid. But I should have had faith in T J Klune and remembered that he writes such vivid characters that you cant help but love them and feel drawn into the world painted by this talented author. I now I wish I had read this earlier and yet while reading it I have found myself procrastinating in finishing it because I knew it would brake my heart to finish it. So coming full circle I now have another book take up inhabitance in my heart.
This book is complex and chart the life and coming together of Felix and Seven, there is something epic about this story and also something very beautiful about these two men together. Felix is conflicted and believable in his doubts. The story is told by Felix as if he is telling you personally his life story, you can almost feel the chair at your back as you sit with him as he tells you this story. There is a sense of urgency and also dread as the story progresses. So by the end of this tale you are breathless and heartbroken and desperate to know what happens next. Would I recommend this book... OMG yes I and I would say to T J Klune.. what... how... when... please .... NOW!!!

Linguist Elios Campbell is thrilled to be granted flight time in a Colonial Guard fighter jet, until he catches sight of his pilot. Spending time with Sender Kinnison holds even more appeal than the flight itself.
Sender's desire for other men is forbidden by his faith and his family. He tries to resist his attraction to Elios, who is unlike anyone he's ever known. When he fails, the incredible sex quickly leads to something deeper, forcing Sender to question his long-held beliefs.
Then, duty calls Sender home to the repressed colony of Themis. Will he be forced to give up a future with Elios to honor the ghosts of his past?
This is what I think of the book. I am officially a sap, I cried through out the second half of this book. If I am honest I didn't want to like this book, because it deals with religion and I try to avoid those, but it won me over really quickly. I decided to read it because it has a couple of my favourite themes for a fantasy/scifi book, space pilots and man on man love.
This is a really passionate story of learning to be yourself with out guilt and duty. I liked that in this book you got two different view of religion. One very intolerant and how that can effect you when you don't fit the mould and the other is supportive so there is no strict mould. this gave the story a whole different dynamic and emotional backdrop that really effected me. if this is how this authors book are in general then I will be looking out for more but keeping hankies at the ready!!...more

My review I loved this book, it was fast pasced and held my interest the whole way through. I loved Cai in the other books in this series so was looking forward to this. I was a little concerned that this was following the same vain as Nyks book but Cai story was different enough that I didn't keep drawing comparisons to it. This tales was exciting and kept me guessing till the final reveal. One of the beat things about this story is you dont have to have read the other books to follow this one but I would highly recommend reading all of them as they are not only sexy reads but heartstoppingly thrilling too....more
