Similar to the character of "Tank Girl" she has a lust for life that I will always love and identify with. Mac was fun but Dani is dynamic. She is such a brat but I think with the life she's led, she has earned the right to be one.
To all those who are sickened and disturbed by the older men's "interest" in Dani the let me just say this... perhaps that is the author's intent, and is perhaps an effective and obviously potent plot device. When Christian lusts after Dani it is showing rather than telling that he is on the long dark road to evil-land. When you see Ryodan acting all Obi-Wan/Papa-Bear but you never get his POV, there might be more to him than what's implied. And when the obvious of-age love interest Dancer is doing everything perfectly, it may be he who has the most deceptive intentions.
It's interesting to me what people would call boring, I call important character building. And what they call disturbing, I call very fucking interesting. They don't bother to think "why? why does this disturb me?"
Is it okay that I liked the Kane bits the most? That's me always loving the side stories.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Mina and Joey's angsty-ass romaIs it okay that I liked the Kane bits the most? That's me always loving the side stories.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Mina and Joey's angsty-ass romance..from the tidbits in Shadowglass to the last chapters of this book, but I think a little less angst-butter might've spread a little bit better than spoonfuls of angst-butter. Sorry for the stupid analogy but less is more some times dammit!! Just a little.
Now don't get me wrong, I do like this series, but I'm having a hard time believing that Kallie is the main character. Honestly "sassy comeback line" Now don't get me wrong, I do like this series, but I'm having a hard time believing that Kallie is the main character. Honestly "sassy comeback line" or "smelly smells of something smellygood" seem the likely candidate of the main... nevermind. After two whole books I really don't know as much as I would like to know about well.. a lot. And I hate unanswered questions that are left open just for the purpose of having a next book. It leaves me grumpy and unsatisfied. The book I read before this one (dance with dragons) left it that way but was written a hellaton better. SO I IS A GRUMPYHEAD NOW!!
Damn. All I am doing is bashing. I don't mean to. Really.
(view spoiler)[ Layne is back..but asleep a lot. Kallie punches at people..but only connects with one nose. She also has Super-Loa in side her. Belladonna.. is sassy and perving on anything with a dick...which I enjoy. One Dallas chapter is all we get to learn that Dallas is now a Loa's bitch. Not a lot of Augustine which makes me sad..cause he is probably one of the best characters in this series. A giganticle storm is gonna kill everyone... AND THEY FUCK IT AWAY!! No fucking shit...DEUS SEX MACHINA, BITCHES!! HAHAHAHHAHAH... Yeah... that killed it. As much as I love any scene with Layne, the deus sex scene just felt like..crap. And I know it was for the good of ALL OF Nawlins and shit but.. son I was dissapoint. (hide spoiler)]
Buuutt..It was pretty enjoyable. Kinda fluffy, but tolerable for the Layne bits.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>...more
