I’m surprised at how every single element of the book came together and worked nicely. I have to admit that the first few pages had me scratching my head because I had no idea where Fine was going with the book. But, every single thing that Fine incorporated in the book worked out in the end and the result was very enjoyable.
One of my favorite part about the book were the Noor. I was touched by how much they loved each other. These men are described as very manly tall men and to see how loving they are towards each other amazed me. Malik the leader of the Noor was amazingly fleshed out, I loved every single thing about him. On the other hand our main character, Wen, was a little hard to love at first but she grew on my by the end of the book. I got a little frustrated with her but I had to understand the circumstances she was in and try to put myself in her shoes. Lastly, the ghost, I loved this character so much. He was scary but at the same time I couldn’t help not rooting for him. It was confusing. He did terrible things but he cared for Wen. I just wanted him to be happy.
I really hope you guys read and enjoy Of Metal and Wishes as much as I did. ...more

I know the majority of readers will absolutely adore Twisted Perfection. Sadly I didn't. This is my review and this is my personal opinion.
Let me start by saying that I love Abbi. I love most of her books. I remember reading her first book, Breathe and falling in love with her writing. But lately I haven't been clicking with her books.
Twisted Perfection's plot (the little bit of it that was in the book) was pretty interesting maybe a bit predictable but still good. Because of this I could not put the book down. The plot was very Abbi, which is fast paced and engaging. One of the things I didn't like about this book was the ending. Not because of the cliffhanger but because I thought Woods and Della only needed one book. I'm not a fan of unnecessary drama and that's how I felt about most of Della's and Wood's problems. To me giving them a sequel feels unnecessary. I'll explain you why.
I wasn't a fan of Never Too Far (book 2 in the Too Far series). The only thing I liked about it was Woods. Then in Twisted Perfection the Woods I loved and adored is nowhere to be found. We got a replica of Rush. Which made Woods' character forgettable. I really didn't connect with him. I didn't feel any sympathy towards him. I mean in what year are we that you have to marry people because your dad wants to be the king of whatever? Yeah, I know that happens in some places but it didn't work here. The Woods in the other books didn't look like the kind of person that will do what daddy wanted him to do.
And then we got Della. Sweet, innocent Della. Until she decides to not be so innocent anymore and act the total oposite from that. Della was an unpredictable and confusing character. Her backstory was heartbreaking. You would expect her to behave certain way because of that. She doesn't even know how to put gas in a car for crying out loud! I sympathized with her until she had the one night stand with Rush I mean, Woods. It was so out of character. And I don't know why, but, I still found it surprising when she went from sitting on Grant's lap (she just met the guy BTW) to having sex with Woods. This all happened at the same party. Her character didn't get any better after that.
There was a lot of eye rolling while reading this book. Most of those happened while reading the sex scenes. Listened, I enjoy sex in books. Sometimes sex gives a book spice. But God, it didn't work here. I've read whatever you can think of and I've never felt so uncomfortable as I did while reading the sex scenes in Twisted Perfection. There were some words that weren't sexy at all and made the scene read almost like a porn. Maybe it's just me who find this kind of scenes cringeworthy. I don't know. Most of the reviewers on Goodreads think that the sexy times between Della and Woods were hot. But I could have done without the sex in Twisted Perfection.
To me this book felt rushed and forced. Pretty much like book 2 in the Too Far series. Does this mean I'm not going to read Abbi's other books? Nope. I will still buy her books with the hopes that she goes back to writing what she writes best: sweet, awesome romance. Characters that you wish were real because they were that amazing. Hot sexy scenes that didn't need to be describe in a million words to let you know what was going on but still made you sigh. Bad boys that were hot and a gentlemen at the same time. Strong yet delicate heroines. That's what I loved about Abbi's books. ...more

I just knew something was going to happen to one of my favorite characters ever. My gut told me I should be afraid, or Alexa from Colletctions just scared the hell out of me. It can go either way. I was so terrified I couldn’t touch the book for almost a month. Then I got over my fears a jumped in. I didn’t have to be afraid because WOW, Sarah Fine knows what she’s doing. I was so impressed with her writing and how it sucked me in. Once you start reading Fractured you won’t be able to stop.
One of the things I liked the most about Fractured were the new characters. Some I adored and some I wanted to strangle with my bare hands. I think that’s what Sarah wanted me to feel. Because OMG. In one scene, I wanted to kill someone. AH! I was so mad! I wanted to get inside the book and slap some sense into that character! I love when I feel strong feeling toward characters. It doesn’t matter if it's in a positive way or negative way. I just love that I feel that they are real.
I feel that Fractured was a bit scarier than the first book. The Mazikin were bolder and terrifying than in Sanctum also. Every time one of them was mentioned in the book my hair stood on end. With everything that was happening in the book I never saw the twist involving one Mazikin coming. It was kind of a WTF moment actually. It just broke my heart. I can’t forget to mention one of my favorite fictional couples, Lila and Malachi. Sigh… Malachi is such an amazing character. Lela is also amazing and strong. We don’t see main characters like Lila in books that often. That makes me love her even more.
Fractured was amazing! The ending was perfect, and I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen in the next book! Too bad we have to wait. But I’ll wait as long as I have to. If you haven’t read Sanctum you need to ASAP!!! You don't want to miss out on a great series!

As I rI don't know how to put my thoughts into words when it comes to this book. I really don't. If You Find Me broke my heart in tiny little pieces. As I reader, I always experienced this feeling of wishing I could dive in the book and save the day. I've never wanted to be able to do this more than with this book. Not to save the day but only to hug Carey and Jenessa. I wanted to adopt these girls and give them all the love they never got from their own mother. Even now thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. This part of the book was so hard to read. The abuse and neglect these girls experienced made me feel like I couldn't breathe and powerless because I couldn't help them.
Even though my heart broke in parts of this book I just couldn't help but loving it. In all that darkness and sadness there was hope and healing. I didn't trust anybody just like Carey but in the end almost all of the people she crossed after she got rescued from the camper were so amazing to her and her sister. Her dad and stepmom were highlights in the book. These people wanted nothing else but to make the girls happy and comfortable. They showed the sisters love and what being a real parent is all about. Their relationship was just beautiful.
This book is beautifully written and is definitely a fast read. I know it sounds like a depressing book, but it really isn't. It was so amazing and powerful. I hope you guys give it a try. I really do. 4 1/5...more

I finished The Baby Bargain in one sitting. It was fun, hot, emotional and just what I needed. The characters were awesome and the pacing was great. The beginning was just like any other romance novel until, BOOM the twist. And what a great way to change the vibe of the book. There was a lot of sexual tension between Megan and Adam and OMG I loved it!
I hope this is a series because I want to know more about the secondary characters! I don't know why but I want to now more about Cooper (which wasn't even in the book but he sounds like an intriguing character) and of course the best friend, Bridget, she was a fun character to read. ...more

I know if I'm going to like a book just by reading its first few pages. With Sanctum Sarah Fine had me by the first few sentences. This book was that amazing. The plot was incredible too. It took twists and turns I wasn't expecting. I could not guess what was going to happen next. I (no lie) chewed off some of my nails trying to stay calm.
Another thing I loved about Sanctum were the characters. Lela was an incredibly real heroine. From the first page we know she is not your typical YA character. She's strong and like I said very real. I fell in love with her instantly. I also loved how loyal Lela was to Nadia. And Malachi oh, Malachi how much I love you. Malachi was probably my top 5 reasons why I loved Sanctum so much. ;)
Sarah Fine is a genius. I say this because the book takes place in a very dark place where not many authors can entertain the reader until the last page. Fortunately Sarah did a fantastic job of describing what was happening. Instead of bland she gave us rich and realistic pictures. I could see everything that was happening in the book like a movie. I could taste and smell what Lela was experiencing and seeing. The only thing I have to say is that Sanctum was PERFECT! ...more
Whoa! I didn’t think I was going to love this book as much as I did. At the beginning of the book I thought it was an OK read. It felt to me like everWhoa! I didn’t think I was going to love this book as much as I did. At the beginning of the book I thought it was an OK read. It felt to me like every other teen book with a boarding school and a shy girl. That was until BOOM, Emma gets sucked into Jane Eyre’s world, literally. Let me clarify that I haven’t read a classic novel in my life. Harry Potter is as classic as it gets for me. But Jane’s world was so beautifully written that I felt in love with it.
By this point I was a little concern because I thought Emma’s moments at Thornfield were going to overshadow the rest of the book. Once again I was surprised. Emma’s life in the real world started to get more and more interesting with every page I turned. Like Emma I was torn between two worlds. I won’t say anything else because I don’t want to ruin the book. I think any book that inspires me to read more is a keeper. A Breathe of Eyre will leave you breathless and wanting more of Emma and her world....more

It’s amazing how Shelly keeps surprising me. You would think that with Maggie and Caleb’s relationship basically set in stone the series wouldn’t be as interesting as other books. I know there’s no one else for Maggie but Caleb and that’s one of the reasons why I adore this series so much. I absolutely love their moments together but what really caught my attention were the secondary characters. Like Maggie’s dad, brother and the rest of the Virtuoso clan.
One thing was different with this book than with the rest of the Significance series. I didn’t finish Defiance in one sitting. I was so mad, no, I was furious with the council and the things that were happening to Maggie and her family that I had to take a breather before I smashed my iPad against the floor. I think is fantastic that Shelly’s writing evokes that kind of emotion in readers. You love these characters so much that you get angry if something bad happens to them. I can’t wait for you guys to read it! Defiance is full of surprises! ...more

Not because it was boring or bad but because I’m going to miss these characters so much. Even right now I feel like crying. I was very excited when I got the book in the mail and then I thought, “This is it. The end of one of my favorite series ever.” And then I wasn't as excited as before. I can always re-read the series, right?
I’m very happy with the ending. I'm ecstatic with the choices Mo made. I was very happy with the guy she ended up with. I mean, I love them both due to O'Rourke's amazing ability to write two totally different love interests that the reader can’t help but fall in love with. But at the end Mo had to choose which guy was the best fit for her and she did and I approve! All I have to say is that the love triangle in this series is the best I have ever read. I didn't know whom she was going to end up with. It kept me guessing until almost the end.
If you haven’t read this series do so now. Don’t be afraid of the love triangle. I personally don’t like them but the love triangle in this series is epic. The writing is amazing and full of action. I was amazed with O’Rourke’s talent of writing vivid and relatable characters. This book has it all. Two amazingly scary and twisted worlds, one kick ass-heroine and two hunkalicious love interests....more
