This book was not a light read. You already know how it's going to end, there was no supernatural event that would bring Hannah back to life, she is dead. You know that from the minute you open up the pages and start reading. There is no climax, or anything it's strictly tapes that have her voice on it telling her reasons on what led her to finally give up on life and kill herself. I'm not going to lie I had a heavy heart reading this book the whole time.
The book was thought provoking, a few times I found myself thinking did she really kill herself over something like that but then I had to remind myself everyone handles things differently and that we all have different breaking points in life. And then to take all those small things and stack them on top of each other, well it can become a mountain of a hell hole for who ever is going through it and in this case that was Hannah.
Clay - we listen to the tapes through his eyes and I liked how Asher developed and had his character grow within listening to those tapes. It was just heartbreaking to know how much he cared and if he had stepped up a little bit more instead of wondering if all those rumors about her were true she might not have taken her life.
Thirteen Reasons Why was dark, haunting, and truly captivating all at once. This is a book that I think should be read in classrooms and by everyone at least once. Even if you think this is not your cup of tea ( Me! I was one of those people ) I highly recommend giving this book a chance....more

I finally decided to start this series and wow did this book have a lot of sex or what, and then there was the insta-sex which surprised me because I haven't seen too many of that but even with all the constant sex the plot held up and I still enjoyed the book.
This is one of those rare books where I really loved all the side characters especially Wraith, Shade and Gem and felt that they were just as developed if not more then the main characters. As for the main characters I liked Eidolon but Tayla just never grew on me at all, I didn't care for how set in her ways she was, everything was black and white there was no inbetween for her. She did have a messed up past so a lot of her personality did make sense which is why I did let a lot of things she did slide but her stubbornness in some situations just really annoyed me.
As for the relationship between Tayla and Eidolon I thought it was interesting they had this love/hate thing going on which I expected going in thanks to the blurb. They have so many differences and a ton of obstacles to work through, obviously. And with all this said I still didn't really feel the connection between the two, it was like something was missing and I still can't put my finger on what it was.
What kept me reading was obviously not Tayla or her relationship with Eidolon but it was the action filled plot, the awesome world building which was so rich with detail, and the secondary characters. I really liked the thin line between good and evil the author created, not all the demons were evil but not all were good either and the same went for the humans. Overall I still enjoyed this book and already have the second one sitting on my shelf....more
Review:I can't believe how freaking awesome this book was. The series as a whole has just been amazing so far. As of right now Faefever tops as my favorite book out the series. I don't want to ruin the series for anyone who still hasn't read it so this review will be short just like my previous ones for this series.
I am officially a fan of Mac and her Mac Halo <<< loved it. Just when I thought the girl couldn't get any more badass..she does, and as each book progresses her character grows into something to be reckoned with.
V'lane - so far I only thought Barrons was complicated but we get to learn a whole lot more about V'lane in Faefever and he is way more complex then what I thought.
Major cliffhanger at the end! I really wish I listened to some of my fellow book bloggers and had Dreamfever on hand..BUT noooo I thought I could handle whatever cliffhanger would be thrown at the end...NOT the case at all! An addiction is what I have developed and it's not going away anytime soon....more

It was an entertaining read full of intense situations and I really liked discovering more about Balthazar who even though I know will not be the one to end up with Bianca I still like his character way more then Lucas. As far as Lucas and Bianca go, their relationship is definitely tested in Stargazer.
I really loved it when the wraiths entered the scene at first I didn't know what to make of it but as some secrets were revealed everything started making sense and I am really interested to know what Bianca's choices will be for her future.
So now there there are Wraiths, Vampires, and Vampire Hunters all thrown into the mix and I'm loving every second of it. This series so far is full of action and page turner moments now add that with the cliffhanger at the end and this makes for a really good read. I'm so glad I waited to read the series because I don't have to sit around and wait for the next book to be released.
Overall even if your sick of Vampire reads or have phased out of it (like I have) I still recommend picking this up, it's worth the read. ...more
