Just What I Needed is the second installment in Lorelei James’ contemporary romance Need You series. It’s funny, sweet, sexy, and an all around amazing read.
The way Walker and Trinity meet is epic. I LOL’d at the way Trinity…well…you’ll have to read to find out. And Walker’s reaction was priceless. These two characters are destined to be together from the beginning and there’s enough chemistry to burn up the pages. I fell head over heals in love with both the characters right away.
Trinity is a spit fire. I’m not sure how Lorelei had done it but she has really hit it out of the park with the heroines in this series. I knew Lennox in book #1 was great and now Trinity has pushed her way into my top 5 favorite heroines as well. I love how she challenges Walker at every step. She is constantly keeping him on his toes. Walker is one fine specimen of a man. His Lumbersexual look with the beard and long hair is enough to make any woman swoon, add in his amazing physique and…wow! . He is smart, sexy, successful, and works with his hands. Best part about him is he understands and appreciates Trinity’s creative mind and all her quirks and he quickly figures out how to be the man she needs. He is dependable, loyal, and when he loves, whether it be his family or his woman, he does so with his whole being.
I truly enjoyed this story. Lorelei has done spectacular job. She has managed to portray the closeness, love, and loyalty that this family stands for. No matter what is happening, they are always there to lend a helping hand or give each other a hard time, whichever is needed, lol. Oh and I best not forget to mention Selka Lund, she is a hoot! She cracks me up at every turn and still manages to be the wise mother she needs to be. The secondary characters, including Brady and Lennox from book #1, really pull this story together and make it a well rounded read.
I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I cursed but in the end I fell madly in love, all over again, with the entire Lund family. I am so excited to get to read about the other Lund men and women we get to meet along the way. Way to go Lorelei, you nailed it! ...more

Her ability to weave a story, no matter the genre, and write three dimensional characters is unparalleled.
What You Need is the first book in her new contemporary romance Need You series. If you know her for her Rough Riders series or her Mastered series this is way different but no less great. If you've never read her before and are a fan of contemporary romance THIS is the perfect book for you.
Lennox has landed her self a spot in my top 10 favorite heroines of all time. I'm not really sure how to adequately explain her except just to say she is definitely not what you think when you first meet her. Keep reading to discover the wealth of Lennox's layers and be prepared to be amazed by her and what she has accomplished. Brady is....*sigh*.....amazing. He is kind, generous, smart, hard working, shy, and sometimes awkward but when he comes out of his shell he will blow you away at his ability to make you swoon. Lennox and Brady are literally opposites but they are exactly what the other needs.
The story is intriguing and catchy as well as sexy and sweet. The plot is strong and well written. The sex is minimum but the sexual tension and banter will fry you. The secondary characters are perfect and they really add depth and character to the overall story. I am so excited to get to read the stories of the other Lund brothers and cousins.
If you are a fan of Bella Andre, Jill Shalvis, or Katy Regnery you will absolutely adore this series!! Definite must read!...more

I'm not even sure where to start with my review of Unbreak My Heart. I have so many emotions and thoughts running through my head right now, it's going to be almost impossible to express them all.
We originally meet Boone and Sierra when he was 18 and she was 16 in Gone Country, part of the Rough Riders series. At that point in time Boone was a bit lost and Sierra was a spoiled rotten 16 yr old girl, not the ideal start to any relationship. They both had a lot of growing up to do. 7 years later, they are reunited and this is their story. You DO NOT need to read that story to understand this one, Lorelei does a fantastic job of sharing flashbacks of their lives so you know exactly what transpired.
Sierra grows up to be a successful business person following in her father's footsteps while remaining the spitfire of a woman she was at 16. She is simply a better version of herself. She is incredibly intelligent and sweet but still has her McKay fire. Lorelei has shown the struggles of a young woman in the business world and how Sierra struggles every day to prove herself to those around her.
Boone, without giving too much away, chose the perfect career path for himself. He has matured and grown into an insanely attractive man with enough drool worthy qualities to make any woman swoon. He is very successful in his career and I love that Lorelei choose a career where he is the minority and still managed to make him alpha to the core. He also suffers from a slight disability and Lorelei manages to show that even with a disability you can still accomplish greatness.
And the secondary characters *snort* It was so amazing to see the McKay-kateers (Anton, Hayden, and Kylar) as college age kids. They have turned into an amazing bunch of young men that I am am hoping to get to read about one day. There were also some other secondary characters, Lu, Sierra's roommate, who will have you laughing so hard you'll struggle to breath and Raj, Boone's Army buddy as well as Mase, a cousin to Kyler. All of the secondary characters add to the story and give it dept and personality. Once again, I feel like I could head down to Phoenix and meet up with these people at the local bar to hang out. I an thrilled to meet the next generation of McKays and see where their lives have taken them. I hope to see more of them pop up in future books.
I would have to say the the way that Lorelei wrote their story is exactly as I would have imagined it being. The story sucked me in from the first page and refused to release it's grip until the last page. I HAD to know what happened. From the first encounter (which cracked me up) to the last, Boone and Sierra's tale was exciting, funny, sexy, and panty melting.
Definitely a MUST READ story of second chances, sacrifice, friendship, and love. I cannot wait for more. Very well done Lorelei, very well done <3...more

Not sure where to start. This book destroyed me and all my illusions of love. Love is not always black and white, love is not always sexual or intimate. Sometimes love is a bond so strong that you can't help but use it as a lifeline. This story is about a love between 3 people that is unbreakable. An intimate bond between man and woman, a brotherly bond between two friends, and a bond of friendship like you've never witnessed. I won't say more because there is an epic twist that you won't see coming but I will say that Luke, Callie, and Casey will take you on the journey of a lifetime. This book has left me with a book hangover like no other. I'm going to go curl up in a corner and attempt to process the emotions I am feeling. All I can say is WOW, what a ride. ...more
