Well, it was worth the read, and I'll definitely be looking into the rest of the series....more

Where to begin?

I love all of Rick Riordan's characters in Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus. Even some of the bad guys. It just amazes me how he can take a Hyperborean, or Medusa's sisters, who have snakes for hair, and make them so freaking endearing. And, honestly, while reading this, I sometimes wondered if Rick Riordan was on crack or something while writing this. Because seriously, Thanatos--Death--using an iPad? Or Iris owning a shop called ROFL? And Stheno's obsession with Bargain Mart? Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but... just asdfkj;lasdfkl;ajsdflk. It's crazy. I can't remember laughing as much in Percy Jackson as I did in this book. It's hilarious. And books rarely make me laugh.
*clears throat* onto the story.
I have to say, the story started a bit slow for my liking. But, later on, it definitely picks up. And having Percy as the protagonist again is awesome. Whenever I read amazing books like this one, I get so attached to the characters. Watching (reading?) Percy do all this crazy stuff just makes me feel like a proud mother. And I just really, really missed his sarcastic comments and thoughts.
Also, I found the histories of Hazel and Frank really interesting. It gave the story depth and made me love the two new characters even more. And the thing with Sammy is genius. When I found out, I was just mentally headbanging and thinking, "Duh! I'm an idiot!" But in my defence, it's been a while since I read The Lost Hero.
Overall, an awesome book/series. You have no idea how ridiculously happy I was while reading this. But anyway, ANOTHER YEAR TILL THE NEXT BOOK!1`?!`/1 ARE YOU SERIOUS!?
Unwind is crazy. It's creepy and scary as hell. It's one of those books you can never put down, and even when you do, it's all you can think about.

Seriously, I loved this book so much, I read it in the car on the way to the train station, read it at the train station, read it in the train, read it during French and Maths (teehee), read it on the train ride back, read it at the station again and finished it off once I got home.
Yeah. I think you get the point. But that's been my day so far. (And it's been a good day, too.)
But wow. This is that rare, beautifully written book that you want to read but can never find. Odd though the book is, it actually makes you believe it. It's a book that makes you laugh, smile and cry and think. It'll make your heart beat faster and your head fill with images. And any book that can make you feel like that's gotta be something special....more
