SomeJennifer, Jennifer, Jennifer you just can't do a thing wrong, such a great book! It was so good to read a NA book written by such a great writer. Some NA have a good storyline but just aren't written well. Well you won't find this here. I read it in one sitting, ignored my husband 3 children, it's that good! There's no book I won't read by this this author....more

You know that scene at the end of Mr and Mrs Smith where Brad Pitt tells the therapist to ask him to rate sex and Brad rates it 5 (or was it 10?...can't remember the number now) and you know as the viewer that it's just amazing.... That's how I feel about rating this this book. That's how awesome I think this book is. I read this in one sitting, finishing it at 2am, and even though I have 2 sick children and getting up 6 times a night for a teething baby, I couldn't put it down to go bed, not until I finished it.
It has everything a story should have, love, romance, a bit of mystery, angst, misunderstanding, humor, a little of "oh no", a touch of "i just know something bad is going to happen" and just *sigh*;)
I got so caught up in story, I felt like it was a movie and I was eating handfuls of popcorn not able to take my eyes away from the scenes that were unfolding before me. I have read that Rule has been compared to Travis maddox....you've got to be kidding me right? Rule kicks his ass to the ground. I am a bit biased as I do not like Travis as a love interest at all. WAAAY too violent, obsessive and controlling for my liking, that's not love to me....unless you're Curran, Barrons or Wrath.;) Anyway... Back to the story. Readers have also griped about the editing, seriously who cares when the story is this good. You just skip over it because you're so caught up with everything. JC has fixed this anyway and moved on.
I loved Shaw, and even though she had some issues to work through, I never felt like punching her in face. You know how some heroines just sabotage themselves and as a reader you sometimes hold your breath hoping that this could be the moment she just gives in to the feeling, but she doesn't and you just want throw your iPad against the wall, well Shaw is not like that at all. She's fantastic, someone you would want to be friends with. I loved how she loved Rule for who he is And Rule, *sigh* loved, loved, loved. Loyal, loving, asshatish but I never saw him as being mean, complex and scared of messing up. All wrapped up in pretty colors.
The only thing missing in this book is more Shaw and Rule. I want to know about their entire lives, right up until die, hopefully in each others arms like in the "Notebook". That how I feel about their love.
Read it, read it, read it. You may not love it as much as me, but there's no way you won't enjoy it....more
