I know that if I need a really good laugh, then I should read one of Tara Sivec’s comedies. This book had a lot of laugh out loud moments and hilarity definitely ensued. I cannot wait to read the other two books in the series, but I really loved Kennedy and I loved her even more with Griffin. These two may be my favorite of the series, but I guess I will have to wait and see. I absolutely loved the hijinks of this book and will definitely recommend it to friends and re-read it when I need a pick me up. ...more

Overall I really liked this book. There are a few things that came out of left field that made me cringe and there were a few things that bothered me, which is why my rating for this is 3.5 stars, but overall I enjoyed the ride. Wade and Charlene were ridiculously hot together. I think all the time they waited to finally be together really amped up the heat. There was a lot of chemistry between them despite the years that had passed and the fact that Charlene was Wade’s brother’s ex-wife. I loved that it wasn’t just all about the down and dirty either. They were able to pick their friendship back up as well, which was great.
I absolutely loved the incorporation of Wade’s music into the story. It added a level of heat to their time together, when he was singing to her while making love. I’m glad that it was brought into the story instead of just talked about like some of the other books I’ve read. From other reviews I’ve read, I learned that Gray and Jazz, characters that are brought in for a brief appearance in Going Long, are from another series by Cari Quinn and I think I’ll have to check it out. I enjoy her writing style and the heat level of her books.
I’m intrigued about the other characters in Quinn, Texas and am definitely thinking about reading the other books in this series, although they are by different authors. I’m hoping that there will be a book about Paige and Colt at some point. For some reason I have this feeling that Paige’s issues with Colt are less that he’s a pompous a$$ and more that she’s got the hots for her best friend’s ex-husband.

I absolutely loved James and the way the story was set up, but it left me hanging and that was slightly annoying. I kinda wanted a little more with James. Maybe a little more of the setup from his point of view or something. I was definitely eager to move on to Reagan’s story. And it made me anxious to get to Natalie and Andrea’s books as well. This was really more of a teaser than a true novella, but I enjoyed it. ...more

I really liked that he was looking for a normal woman, not some fake, plastic, groupie that only wanted him for what he could do for them. And I loved that although Reagan was a huge fan of Declan’s, she didn’t get all weird and crazy. She never really treated him like he was a star or he was better than he was. They each had their insecurities to work through, especially Reagan. She kept wondering what he wanted with her. Declan kept worrying about his past and how Reagan would react to it.
I loved the two of them together. The hot moments were scorching hot, but they also spent some time talking and enjoying each other’s company. That was different than most one night stands or one weekend stands. From beginning to end, I enjoyed this book immensely. I really loved how things worked out for them and I hope that in the rest of the books we get to see glimpses into what happens next. I’m particularly interested in Declan’s movie and how his life affects Reagan.
I can’t wait to read Natalie and Andrea’s books. I just know they are going to be as fun and spicy as Reckless Nights was.
