I am not a fan of stories where all of the major plotlines are created in the first book but aren't resolved until the last one so that's one of my biggest issues with this.
It's not a romance which I really liked. I like that the story is about her trying to better herself. She's an immortal, she's in rehab and she's separated herself from her toxic friends.
I enjoyed watching her become human, seeing that lives mattered other than hers but at the same time, I want to know what's up with her friends.
But I really don't like that it doesn't stand alone, not really. That's one of the reasons I avoid trilogies, [to be fair, I thought this was a standalone novel until I looked it up on here]unlike a series I can't get to know the characters and get a satisfying resolution for each book until the third one, lol.(less)
