The illustrations are AMAZING. You feel like you're there.
And then it's over. What a great book. It feels like a hug from the past; like listening to your grandma talk about something she did as a kid. If your grandma was very picky and poetic with her words :)(less)

It picked up as the book went along. I don't know if I would have felt different reading it than listening to it.
