This turnTook me almost six months to get hold of this book.*counts the months again* Nah. Seven. Was it worth waiting? Not really. I'm disappointed. This turned out to be too good to be true for a Cecelia Ahern novel. I mean, I know Cecelia Ahern. You know, her writing style and her language. It is supposed to be magical. It is supposed to give you all these "feeeeeels". Her books are supposed to be like two tubs of Choco-Chip ice-cream. Makes you glad that you came across them. This one, though, gave me a feeling of junk food. The effort of being philosophical is undoubtedly appreciated but maybe she should try harder I guess..If she wants to be serious about this kind of writing where she attempts to make her reader go all introspective. This one seemed like a ready-set-go film script? (Hey Hollywood, are you listening?)Basically, she was out of her depth. I miss the good ol'If You Could See Me Nowdays. :(...more

More than anything, her way of telling stories. There is always something magical about them. The emotions are very real and simple. I, personally, have always felt a connection with the protagonists. One Hundred Names is one such book. I'm not going to talk anything deep about the book because I don't need to. All I can say: its light, fresh, Irish and a true Cecelia Ahern novel. But after reading every Ahern book, I always had a complaint and still do. I wish her characters were stronger. But the same time, I also believe that imperfections of her characters and the humor only makes the story more interesting. So you go girl!!!...more
Its more than 4.5 but not 5. I loved Dawson's character, his undying love for Amanda, his loyalty, his devotion. Everything. Love is the most beautifulIts more than 4.5 but not 5. I loved Dawson's character, his undying love for Amanda, his loyalty, his devotion. Everything. Love is the most beautiful feeling and yet the most painful too. That's what this book told me. Dawson-Amanda and Tuck-Clara were soul-mates and there is no denial in that. But I just loved the intensity and the height of passionate love between both of the couples. Clara was just mentioned in few lines but Tuck's passionate love for Clara left a great impact in the story. I wanted to stop reading the book when Amanda kissed Dawson. Whatever love they shared, it was important to not forget that Amanda had a family. Maybe my conscience was speaking to me at that time.Because when Amanda chose Frank over Dawson, something heavy was lifted off me and then there was this huge hole because she lost Dawson. Her only love. Truest in every form. And the ending, phew, He surely gave the best of him!! I loved the way emotions were handled in the book. The feeling that Dawson had lost his purpose of life after Amanda left and Mrs. Bonner forgave him made me realise that there was really something else waiting for him which will fulfill his reason to have lived for so many years waiting to finally meet Amanda. The fact that he never died because he lived with Amanda by being Jared 's heart ran chills through my spine. I guess I could on and on with this book.

P.S: Hugh Jackman (Dawson) and Madhuri dixit (Amanda) stood in my mind all the time I read this book. Which is not weird....more

So I kind of edited the book and got a software and finally, read it.
I'm not sure where to start. At the beginning, I was confused. I didn't understand the twist and turns. But after some pages when I finally did, I loved every moment of it. Every character, even Mr. Palmer who wasn't around for long time, was beautifully sketched in the book. Taylor had a way of life that was real to the core. I'm sure every girl who read this book could relate to her. Although I can't say same way about Jonah Griggs, he was...like a....just..I'll get back to you later about him.
Raffy,Santangelo,Ben,Jessa,Hannah,Brigadier,Santangelo's dad,Webb,Tate,Fitz....all of them were powerful characters. Its like you are with these people, only invisible. Their pain, sorrow, happiness, love was so infectious that it not only touches your heart but also your soul. I'm not going to say anything about the story or anything more about the characters. You HAVE to read it. Because I'm going to reread it anyway. One of the best books I have ever read.

The name itself made me avoid the book..(although Anna is one of my favorite name). But it was in my bookshelf for a long time and I had to read it as I'm on a finishing-all-types-of-young -adult-books-spree> I'm already 19 now. Now i feel so stupid!! I mean why didn't Stephanie Perkins get a better name for the book and trust me that's the only thing I'm complaining about and nothing else. The whole book is SUPER-COOOOLLY BEAUTIFUL. St.Clair is a guy any normal simple girl would die to have. English accent is the sexiest accent in the world, hands down and to hear it from aguy as awesome as St.Clair....(somebody help me!). He was caring, so loving, soooooo funny. Anna was this cute girl and simple. There was nothing exaggerated about her. I just loved her smartness and she was so funny,so considerate and so caring. I loooovvedd both of them. You don't generally have people who know you inside out. ST.Clair and Anna were exactly what you truly and genuinely call BEST FRIENDS. I loved Meredith,Josh and Rashmi too. The best moments in the book: Paris!!!! After Ireland its the only place I want to visit. Their conversations, they never spoke anything meaningless or "shite" :D. The way they spent thanksgiving day. The way St.Claire proposes Anna... Anna and St.Claire completed each other in every way. *LONGSIGH*.
