I don't fully buy into their chemistry (which was lukewarm through nine chapters) either. Darn it! This was a complete fail for me.(less)

Mostly, Reaper's Property is an engaging story with a hot biker and woman who learns the true meaning of being an "old lady". There's some action. There's lots of hot, sexiness that will leave you panting. There's potential for more books about other members of the Reapers MC. I'll read them, but I probably won't be counting the minutes until another Reaper book comes out.(less)

I never in a million years would've guessed it in book 1, but Adrian's suffering from PTSD. His past, the traumas that he endured as a child and young man, OMG it broke my heart. I knew in Charade that there was so much more to this guy.
Delaney, sweet girl, isn't without her own problems. She's clearly codependent; she has an overwhelming need to fix everyone in her life. It's how she copes after the events that tore her family apart at the seams. Her past and Adrian's are linked. I cannot tell you how, but you find out pretty early-on in the book. I wish she hadn't waited so long to reveal things to him, but I understood her hesitation, too. You can't really know what you would do unless you were in her situation.
There's a twist at the end that I kinda saw coming. There were signs in the beginning that made me wonder, but then I swept them aside because I thought I was reading too much into it. When the twist came, it still floored me because the scene nearly ripped my heart out!
There's plenty of great chemistry between Adrian and Delaney. He's such a total player, yet, you know it's different for him with her. Loved his nickname Delaney! And really enjoyed seeing Cheyenne and Colt (from Charade) again; they're so cute!
Nyrae's an amazing writer. She never fails to pull me right into her stories!(less)

Colleen Hoover takes on a very dark subject matter childhood sexual abuse with a sensitivity that I admire her for. Hopeless is an intricate story with many layers that, as they're revealed, will run you through a myriad of feelings.
Sky & Holder. Absolute perfection. I was captivated by them from the beginning; as individuals and as a couple. I want to gush about them, but if I get going, I fear I won't be able to stop and will reveal too much. Suffice it to say, their story is REMARKABLE. Holder belongs on the cover of SWOONALICIOUS! He's deeply protective of Sky, and as the story progresses, as the mysteries are exposed, I fell more and more in love with him. His unwavering support in the face of what Sky discovers solidifies him as one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends ever! And Sky, beautiful girl, her strength and bravery is really something to witness. The true definition of survivor!
Don't wait to read this book! Get it now and be ready to devote your time to it because once you start reading YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN!(less)

Run along and get your copy of Jill's At Last now because I know you're asking yourself if the man lives up to his nickname. He does, oh boy does he EVER! Matt's the kind of hero I can get behind (or under, or over, or in front of, or...umm, you get the idea)! It's so easy to fall for him. Love let him down in the past, so he's certain he doesn't want another round with it. That is, until he realizes he's fallen for Lucky Harbor's resident Tough Girl, Amy Michaels.
This series has been a win with every book I read! Jill's writing is so brilliant, so funny, and her characters are real. If you have yet to read the books, what are you waiting for?(less)

I didn't think it was possible for a man to move faster than Lee or Eddie! Hank wins, hands-down. He saw Roxie and never turned back.
Best moments: - Roxie and Hank's first date (more to the point, the end of their first date! mmm) - The haunted house, lol. - "She's the One" by Bruce Springsteen - The Buttermilk Pancake/Donut argument Roxie's parents have. - Hank getting Mom-bombed! - Hank "Letting Go" - Roxie's "My Life Began" Speech - The whole final chapter.
There's a lot to like about this one. :) In the words of Roxie's friend, Annette, "Yo, bitches! Read it!"(less)

I've had this book in my possession since its release back in February. I've read it approximately 3 times. That doesn't include the amount of times I've skipped through it to read my favorite parts!
Mick Riley is the man in San Francisco. As quarterback of the SF Sabers, Mick's lifestyle is unlike what most of us can imagine. He goes where he wants, does what he wants, and dates the hottest Hollywood starlets. Most of it is staged by Liz, Mick's agent, and he's steadily growing tired of all the publicity. When Mick meets Tara he's instantly intrigued by her. She doesn't fawn all over him like every other woman he knows. She doesn't expect him to swoop in and take care of her. He can't resist the pull of attraction, nor does he try to. I'd say he's smitten, but the big, bad football player would probably take offense. You know how sensitive they are about their tough reputations.
Tara Lincoln is an up-and-coming event planner. As owner of the Right Touch Event Planners, she's worked hard to better her life and her son's. She's as independent as a woman should be; not asking for handouts or expecting anything to come easy. But, Tara's been hurt. First by her son's father when he left her as a teenage mother. Then, by her parents who couldn't accept her for who she was and the son she had. She can't imagine a man like Mick would be interested in her.
Mick's pursuit is hot. Tara's willing to succumb to the passion she feels for Mick, but she protects her heart -- and her son's -- at all costs. Their relationship progresses much like a real relationship would with twists, turns, and conflict (ie. one bee-otch of an agent). Watching as their love grew and layers of their previous lives unfolded kept the book flowing at a nice pace.
To say I loved this book is an understatement. The storyline is great, the sex kindled my Kindle, and all the secondary characters were just as interesting as the main players. Mick's hunky brother, pro-baseball player Gavin, will be the man-candy in the next Play-by-Play novel, CHANGING THE GAME. I'm a little conflicted because Gavin's lady love will be none other than Liz (aka the bee-otch agent). Just incase you missed it, I'm no fan of hers. One must have faith, though, and I'm certain -- considering my love for this book -- that Ms. Burton will pull it off.(less)
