But despite that, it was still a very enjoyable read. :)
Also, something cool that I noticed (not sure if I'm right or not, but...) I wonder if the author is a fan of the Predator (Yautja), Avatar, and Farscape?! :D...more

Everything was wonderful... the writing, the plot, the characters, and the relationship/romance. I would absolutely LOVE to see a sequel! And would happily pay for it, if the author chose to go that route and make it commercial.
The ending is satisfying, yet there are so many possibilities for a sequel (or sequels). More nasty things showing up from "you know where" (I don't want to give away any spoilers). Also, the sheriff was definitely suspicious about the two of them, and I would love to see that explored further, like how long can/will they keep their origins a secret? Will they be forced to reveal it due to certain circumstances? Or will someone/something else (from "you know where") spill the secret? I'd also love to see more interactions between them and the locals, as well as Drakjan becoming a bit more socialized (probably against his will - LOL!), and Hraban adjusting to his new home. ;) :D
And the relationship/romance! It doesn't really get started until close to the end of the story, and I'm itching to see how it develops further! :D
Overall, a really wonderful story, and highly recommended....more

The writing was stilted, the characters were flat and uninteresting (even the alien with his tentacle-cock), and the sex scenes were rushed (not surprising, considering the length of this story), boring, mechanical, and so not hot.
There were also a number of errors that should have been caught, especially with this being just a little over 3,000 words. Typos, wrong words, missing words, bad punctuation, etc.
Also, I downloaded the .epub version, and the formatting was all fucked up, which made this a real PITA to read. Oh, and the cover art was missing as well.
Is this the quality I'm to expect from her commercial books? Is this the freebie "hook" that's supposed to encourage me to buy the next book in the series, or any of her other books for that matter? If so, it sure as hell didn't work.
If this was a writer who did free online fiction, and was just testing things out, putting their stories into ebook format, I wouldn't be so harsh. But that's not the case here. This is a published author who has a ton of books for sale. Bad writing/story aside... have some fucking pride in how you present your product to your customers. Get help with the editing/proofing, from friends, family, a writing group, the members at the M/M Romance Group (who would be more than happy to help you, for free). Have those people also check the different formats for any problems. And if all that fails, take some of the money you've earned from your outrageously overpriced books, and fucking hire someone to do it.
I am getting so disgusted with lazy self-pubbed authors who put out sloppy, half-assed work. Make the effort, and take the time to do it right, otherwise you're not getting any of my money.
(Oh, and BTW, the title is also wrong/misleading. No one is "bred by the alien". It's the opposite, actually. The alien is bred by humans.) *sigh*...more

Even though I enjoyed it, it's a bit too short to be truly satisfying, but it still gets a solid 3-stars and a recommendation to those who like dragon/human parings!
I'd really love to see either a sequel/continuation, or a longer, more fleshed-out version. :)...more
