Dina is just an average girl running a nice B&B in small-town Texas. She has a cute Shih Tzu and is a good neighbour. Except, her one guest is an actual otherworldly lifetime visitor outrunning hideous crimes, and Dina happens to be an Innkeeper.
Inkeepers are connected to the house and land. They can wield magic and access other places. The inn can do some freaky stuff too.
When a vicious alien animal starts killing dogs and soon escalates to humans, Dina can't ignore what's going on around her. Even if it means stepping outside the safety of her inn's boundary. And with the help of a werewolf and a vampire, she might be able to help save the neighbourhood.
Sean—the werewolf—and Arland—the vampire—are as fascinating as Dina. All three characters have interesting backstories. I'm also curious about Caldenia. Oh, and the thing about her missing parents is so sad. Hope she gets some answers.
I really enjoyed this story and loved the way an urban fantasy situation was blended with science fiction. Very well done....more

DRUNK ON THE MOON
ThiI grabbed this book for FREE the other day and decided to read it on my Kindle. I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
DRUNK ON THE MOON
This is an introduction to Roman Dalton--PI and werewolf--and his associates--Duffy and Walker. It's an interesting story that reveals how Roman became a werewolf, what he does when the full moon hits, as well as showing us just how gritty and dangerous The City is. It's a place filled with crime bosses and killers.
Roman is being hunted by an assassin known as the Missionary. He's a killer who kills what he considers to be scum, and that includes those less fortunate than him. But taking him down is only the beginning...
BLACK MOON RISING
This gives us a glimpse into Walker and Duffy, who actually have a past together. It's not just that Walker is Dalton's former partner, there's more that ties these three men together.
THE BRAIN SALAD MURDERS
It seems like a killer from the past has returned and Roman might be responsible for his latest killing spree. This was really short, but I still enjoyed it.
SHE'S MY WITCH
Cool story with a macabre carnival atmosphere that ends in a very satisfying way. I particularly enjoyed Roman, Walker and Duffy working and getting caught together. And a siren femme fatale saving the day? Yeah, very cool! :)
BEFORE THE MOON FALLS
This was another violent, atmospheric story that also happened to be a prequel about Duffy and how he inherited the bar. I liked how even though it was in the POV if a different character, the setting retained its authenticity.
I really enjoyed this collection of stories about a werewolf and his friends, living in a shitty and very dangerous place called The City. The noir atmosphere drips off each and every page as much as the horror imagery. I loved that about this book....more
I've got the first book in this series on my bookshelf, but when I grabbed a free copy of this prequel for my Kindle, I thought I'd start here.
Emma MoI've got the first book in this series on my bookshelf, but when I grabbed a free copy of this prequel for my Kindle, I thought I'd start here.
Emma Monroe is a Fallen Siren who was cursed by Demeter because she couldn't save Persephone. She's also an FBI agent who investigates missing persons cases.
When she goes to Charleston to help find a missing boy, she meets fellow agent Zack Armstrong. As soon as they meet she can tell he's a werewolf. He's also good at his job, and a total hottie. No matter how hard she tries to avoid the attraction, she can't pretend it's not there. But she can concentrate on her mission. She wants redemption, and this is her way of getting closer to it.
The little boy who's missing isn't the first one. Two more were abducted, but they were found dead. Emma and Zack have limited time to solve the case, but no matter how many questions they ask or how many times they interview the parents, they struggle to figure out what's going on.
Together, they push on because if they don't, another innocent child will be drowned...
I loved this novella! Not only was it fast-paced and hooked me in from the beginning, but I loved Emma and Zack. The mutual attraction is strong, and their separate secrets intriguing. I also love the addition of Greek mythology, and can't wait to find out more about Emma's former existence.
Looking forward to reading the first book! :)...more
OMG. This book is fantastic! I actually put it on hold as soon as it appeared at my local library, LOL. And just like the one before it, I enjoyed itOMG. This book is fantastic! I actually put it on hold as soon as it appeared at my local library, LOL. And just like the one before it, I enjoyed it so much that I plan to pre-order the paperback edition as soon as it's available.
I was hooked from the very beginning. This is fast becoming one of my favourite series. It's just so original, and so well written that everything about this alien world becomes so vivid while reading it... I love it!
Meg has been in the Lakeside Courtyard for a while now and she's settled into her job as Human Liaison very well. She's also accepted and protected by the Others and has even helped set up a 'human pack' that everyone recognises. She's also managed to make Simon Wolfgard a lot more sympathetic towards humans--and that includes the police--than even he ever imagined he could be.
But when humans start targeting crows as well as Crows, everything changes. There are humans who are starting to forget their place and instead want to stand up to the Others. When that happens, whole villages and cities can be wiped out or asked to relocate. And Meg is having prophecies about what's going on around her. Serious things that will impact all of them, and lead back to the place she escaped.
Once again, the POV changes were excellent and help the reader see the many angles of the same story. This very dangerous world is made even harsher by the stupid actions of humans, who even in a world run by other beings still want to exert their greedy, selfish ways. I also enjoyed getting a glimpse into the institution where the other blood prophets are imprisoned and experience the horrible things done to these poor girls who are born with enough of a burden without adding slavery, rape and domination to the mix.
The addition of Intuits was also interesting, and I hope we get to find out even more. It's just so great to see these characters all develop and change their attitudes towards each other because of one brave girl who dared to take a stand. It just proves that without the bad apples, all kinds of creatures--big and small--can learn to get along.
I love these characters. I especially love the special bond Meg and Simon are developing towards each other. Something so strong that it scares the hell out of both of them.
Can't wait to read more of this awesome series!...more

She's nervous about returning, and introducing her mate to her parents but finds that a lot has changed since she left.
And discovering what really happened to her young cousin turns out to be a ghastly experience.

Quinn is an ex-junkie, a liar,This is a book I've had my eye on for a while, and finally picked up a copy a few weeks ago during an insane Kobo sale.
Quinn is an ex-junkie, a liar, and two-kinds of monster. She was attacked by a werewolf and then bitten by a vampire. A scary, old vamp that turns Quinn into her pet and weapon. Did I mention that she's also a monster killer? No? Well, she is. And btw, adding previously withheld info is something Quinn continually does quite a bit.
After becoming a monster herself, she starts getting deeper and deeper into trouble. As well as losing total control and waking up all over the place with no memory of why. Well, she does find some answers in her puke. :P
Quinn is a very unreliable narrator. She's a total liar, and has lived a very hard life on the streets after she ran away from home. I usually have problems with unreliable narrators, but not this one. I really liked her and wanted her to come out okay at the end.
I really enjoyed this book! It's dark, gritty and totally raw. The kind of book that makes you want to take a shower after reading it. LMAO. But you know what? I loved every minute of it. And didn't even mind that it was kinda poking fun at other PNR & UF stories. ;)
I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Quinn's next adventure....more

Meg Corbyn is a blood prophet, and she's on the run. Her ability to see visions of the future via precise cuts to her skin makes her a sought-after tool. But after escaping from the Controller, she seeks shelter in a Courtyard. A place where monsters live and humans are rarely invited.
The night she arrives, Simon Wolfgard makes her an offer she can't refuse: a job and shelter. She's desperate enough to accept and her arrival turns the Courtyard upside down.
There are several words to describe this story: Wow. Amazing. Intoxicating. Yeah, I absolutely adored this book. It hooked me in from the beginning and kept me on the edge of my seat all the way through.
It was well written, the POV changes were perfect, the characters felt so real, and the world building was unique. This is a very dangerous world where the Others pretty much call the shots and humans can be wiped out if they anger them. These are frightening, ancient beings who crave human meat and blood, and take on the guise of wolf, bear, coyote, crow, hawk, etc. The vampires were also very interesting.
I loved Meg. She's such a fantastic, innocent character who is so selfless her kindness often puts her in harm's way. But that's just who she is. Her interaction with the Others transforms their way of thinking, and her friendship with the young wolf Sam is so cute. Let's not forget about Simon, and how their initial awkwardness towards each other becomes so much more.

After what Lucas did to her, Secret wants nothing to do with him. She's also keeping her distance from Desmond, though she misses him like crazy. Instead, she's looking for comfort in Holden.
So when Lucas (can't stand this guy) demands that she find his missing sister Kellen, or he'll send Desmond away, she agrees. After all, Kellen is her friend.
What follows is a trail of murders that lead to the beautiful but dangerous world of the Fairies. But everyone knows that dealing with these creatures is not easy. Things are never what they seem, and deals made with the fae are never straightforward.
Secret finds out the hard way when she bargains with their king. :/
I enjoyed this book because it's part of a great series and keeps expanding Secret's world. I do have to admit that because of a few things that happened, it's not one of my fave installments.
Still looking forward to reading the next one, though. :)...more

Kitty, Ben, and Cormac heThis week I received Kitty's 12th book, so I wanted to catch up with her. And of course, this is one of my fave UF series. :)
Kitty, Ben, and Cormac head to London so that Kitty can speak at the First International Conference on Paranatural Studies. But wherever she goes, so does trouble. It starts with something simple and harmless--Luis, the attractive Brazilian were-jaguar flirting with her--but ends with plenty of struggles, and more of a glimpse into just how dark and serious the Long Game is.
She also meets a few more allies: Ned, the Master vampire of London, and Caleb, the werewolf alpha of the British Isles. It was so cool to meet these two and I found them fascinating. I hope they pop back into the series. Cormac's ghostly passenger, Amelia, also gets a chance to go back home and meets some of her ancestors. I really want to read more about how Cormac was possessed by this ghost. Oh, and what about those creepy faeries? Yikes.
I really enjoyed this book! It's another interesting instalment that puts Kitty into the middle of the stirring war and even puts her credibility on the line. I can't wait to see where it leads... ...more

Christmas and the New YeaThis is another awesome addition to this series. No wonder it's already made it onto my Most Fave UF Series List. I loved it!
Christmas and the New Year might be around the corner, but if Edie is going to make ends meet she has to keep working through the holidays. She's a nurse in the County Hospital’s Y4 wing, which is where they take care of supernatural creatures.
Except, now that she's been introduced into this world she keeps getting deeper into it. And when she witnesses an old man getting run over by a truck in front of the hospital and he turns out to be an alpha werewolf, she suddenly becomes involved in another messy situation and makes herself an easy target. Not only that, but she's also agreed to be Anna's Ambassador when the teenage vamp gets initiated into the Sanguine.
Between having to put up with her family visiting for the holidays, her brother getting caught up in a dangerous situation, several bizarre houseguests, Grandfather messing with one of these guests, Asher the shapeshifting 'friend', and a werewolf she might not be able to keep her hands off... her life gets more complicated every single day.
I love Edie. She might seem like a human being thrown into a shark pool, but she's always kind and willing to help. She's also stronger than she realises, and not afraid to get her hands dirty. I do feel bad about her not wanting to get involved with anyone after what happened with Ti. Oh, and the ending, didn't expect that!
The third book is on its way as I type this, so I can't wait to see what's next for Edie Spence. :)...more

I've just finished reading the last book in the Sookie Stackhouse series, and it's left me... satisfied. :) I was really looking forward to reading it, but also sad about facing the end because it's one of my favourite series.
Either way, I couldn't wait to get stuck into it...
Sookie has been through a lot since the day she met the vampire Bill. She's had to deal with all sorts of vampire problems and politics, deal with human prejudice, got involved with werewolves, fairies, shifters, battled witches, and found out some pretty big secrets about her grandmother. But she's never lost herself along the way, remained strong and kept her dignity.
In her last adventure, she faces some pretty tough challenges. She's trying to get her life back on track after using the cluviel dor to save Sam's life and losing Eric in the process. Not that she really had him, since he'd been promised to a vampire Queen anyway.
She gets treated pretty badly by some, and several horrible characters from her past decide to return to Bon Temps to get revenge and cause her pain. She's betrayed, arrested, shot, ignored, dumped, stabbed, and mistreated, but there are also a lot of friends willing to stand beside her to try and figure out what's going on. I loved how things were finalised with everyone she's been personally involved with.
This is one excellent book. I enjoyed it from start to finish and was equal parts surprised, excited and sad as I read Sookie's story. She goes through some pretty bad things, but I was very happy with The End and how her friendships and past relationships turn out. After everything she's been through that she's able to stand on her own two feet is an awesome thing, and I loved that.
Dead Ever After is another awesome Sookie book, and a wonderful end to a series that I've enjoyed reading for many years. I'm going to miss Sookie, her friends, family, and the always fascinating--but sometimes terrifying--world she lives in. The final chapter really made me smile, and when I closed the book I was very content. For that, I have to thank Charlaine Harris.
OMG! This book is so awesome. It was so much fun, and even horrific in some places. I love the world, the creatures, the humans... everything!
Edie isOMG! This book is so awesome. It was so much fun, and even horrific in some places. I love the world, the creatures, the humans... everything!
Edie is a nurse in the County Hospital’s Y4 wing, which is where they take care of supernatural creatures. She's completely human and only took the job to save her ungrateful junkie brother. Still, as far as she's concerned a job's a job and she takes as many shifts as she can get.
However, the night she kills a vampire while trying to fulfill a dying man's wish, her life is turned upside down. She's got days before a vampire tribunal decide her fate and in order to survive, she gets herself a vampire lawyer and goes looking for the only witness that can help her--a child vampire. Along the way, she meets an alluring shapeshifter and a very helpful zombie.
I absolutely loved this book. Edie's a brutally honest character who doesn't sugercoat anything. She takes what she wants when she wants it. If she wants to go on a night out, she pops into the local club and dances the night away. If she's in the mood for company, she'll invite a one-night stand into her home. Her Achilles' heel is her brother, who constantly takes advantage of her kindness and steals from her. I didn't like Jake much, I have to admit. The other characters were awesome. I love the staff at Y4, Ti, Asher, and even the creepy Anna.
Can't wait to read the next book. Actually, I've already ordered it and pre-ordered the two after that. I know this is going to become one of my favourite series! :)...more

Zoe is an archaeologist who loses her mother. She's been running most of her life because her mother wanted them to stay a step ahead of Zoe's father's family. But shortly after her mother dies, Zoe gets caught up in something she has no idea about. And when her cousin is abducted, she has no choice but to use her skill and wit to find an artifact the kidnapper wants. She starts following clues to an ancient mystery. One that might actually be closer to her than she ever expected...
I had no idea this book would turn out to be such an international adventure. Zoe ends up going to London, Paris, Berlin, Venice, Greece and Turkey. Wow! It makes me tired just thinking about it, especially since there's a new threat at every turn. Sometimes it's hard to guess who's friend and who's foe. But when Zoe starts using her Beast side, instead of trying to suppress it like she's done most of her life, she slowly learns to use her gifts to her advantage.
This turned out to be a fun book with an interesting heroine, a large cast of characters, and an intriguing adventure dealing with a myth that I personally find fascinating--Pandora's Box. I also found the worldbuilding different, refreshing, and all the archaeology stuff was great too!
I'm looking forward to reading the next installment to see where Zoe ends up next....more

And I have to say that I really like the new cover art. Shia looks kick-ass!
Shiarra's world used to be a lot easier before the Others became a fixture in her life. Now, the NY PI is on the prowl. She's stalking the Sunstrikers wolf pack, desperately trying to get her hands on her cheating ex, Chaz. Which will also lead her to the asshole who scratched her and might now cause her to turn furry during the next full moon.
Alone, without any money, and in need of leads she makes her way towards the White Hats. She hopes these hunters will help in her quest, and by doing this Shia pretty much gets herself deeply involved in every facet of the supernatural world she wishes she'd never become a part of. As her search for Chaz intensifies and she tries not to concentrate on what she might turn into, Shia finds herself wearing the freaky, enchanted hunter’s belt more often because of the power it gives her. And before she knows it, her reality and feelings become warped by it.
I loved how the change was so gradual, how I honestly believed Isaac had her best interests in mind but is slowly manipulating her to do as he pleases. It was so unexpected, when the belt actually reveals its power to control her, I was thrown. But everything started making so much more sense!
This is another awesome, but brutal installment in this excellent urban fantasy series. I really enjoyed it, and was satisfied with the, uh, climax. ;) It's amazing how hard Shia tries to convince herself she doesn't want anything to do with Royce, when it's obvious to everyone else how much she really wants him. LOL.
Can't wait to see what happens next...

There's a bit of everything--Welsh mythology, mystery, romance, fighting, cool weapons, and a frustrating villain. But the best thing about this book was Vicky herself. Sure, being a zombie means he has to take extra care of himself and really wants to solve who killed him, but there are bills to pay and Chambeaux & Deyer has a full caseload--including a messy divorce, two witch sisters who want compensation from a publisher for a 'spelling error', a mummy who wants to be free from the museum, and a vampire being threatened by a fanatical group.
Yeah, life in the Unnatural Quarter can get pretty messy, but Dan's an awesome detective. And along with his human business partner, his poltergeist girlfriend, and cop BHF (Best Human Friend) he's bound to get answers. Plus a lot of trouble, too!

Jessica McClain is living under the alias of Molly Hannon so no one knows where/what she is. She happens to be the daughter of one of the toughest werewolf Alphas in the world, and also the only female in an all-male race. But no amount of hiding is going to keep the truth from getting out now.
She never showed any signs of changing, but it didn't stop the male wolves from despising her, which is why she left the 'safety' of the Compound in the first place. However, one night the impossible happens and Jessica actually changes into a wolf, and she trashes her apartment.
As her father and his most trusted wolves go to her aid and work out the best way to tell the rest of the Pack what's happened, the tension grows. But her fellow Pack wolves aren't the only ones she has to worry about, because it seems that being the only female werewolf in the world has attracted the attention of some other supernaturals. Not to mention the human cop who keeps breathing down her neck...
All hell breaks loose when she's ambushed inside a bar, but finds an ally in the most unlikely shifter.
Full Blooded is an awesome addition to the urban fantasy genre. The world building is fantastic, the heroine a tough woman with a lot of vulnerabilities she won't let stand in her way, and the supporting cast is outstanding. There are so many characters to love, some to hate, and some intriguing ones.

And, wow, what an introduction to this cI'm looking forward to getting stuck into the Jessica McClain series, but I wanted to read the prequel first. And, wow, what an introduction to this character.
The story starts with Jessica fighting a man who is way bigger and stronger than her. He also happens to be a werewolf, and although he's beating the crap out of her, she still doesn't give up. She's a bit of a smartass and refuses to stay down. So I pretty much liked her right away.
When her father stops the potentially lethal fight, the story really opens up. It turns out that Jessica lives in a compound filled with wolves, and her father's their leader. Still, that hasn't stopped most of the wolves from hating, baiting, and attacking her any chance they get. She also has a twin brother. She seems to be an anomaly--the only female born in a male race. And most of them hate her for it, and believe she's evil.
All she wants to do is leave the compound with her father's blessing, but he doesn't want to let her go. And if he doesn't, he might end up losing her anyway...
This was an excellent prequel novella. It packs quite a punch. There's so much action, but we still get to find out a lot about Jessica, her family, and the dangerous world she lives in. The men who hate her are shockingly brutal and violent. While the few who care about her are gentle and honest.
Yeah, I'm already a fan and can't wait to get my hands on the first book! ...more

And it starts out in a very jovial place, with Sookie and several of her girlfriends having a good time during Ladies Only night at Hooligans. Surely nothing can go wrong in a strip club... Um, we're talking about Sookie's world, so yeah, something strange happens. :)
When her great-grandfather, Niall, pays her a visit and starts asking her questions about why Claude and Dermot are living with her, she starts to wonder what the hell is going on. As he continues to dodge her question of why he's visiting, Sookie finds herself in the middle of a heated fae discussion that ends with Niall taking Claude back to Faery with him, to try and figure out who cursed Dermot.
As if that's not enough, she also has to attend a vampire party to answer a few questions the King of Nevada, Arkansas, and Louisiana has about what happened to Victor. She doesn't want to be there, but knows she needs to. And things get worse when she finds Eric drinking from another woman. A strange woman who then ends up dead in the front yard, and the focus of a human police investigation.
All of a sudden, she doesn't know who to trust--there were plenty of people who had a reason to want the girl dead, and each had the time to do it. Like her lack of relationship time with Eric and how he keeps leaving her out of a very important proposal he's facing, Bill continuously hanging around to remind her he still loves her, a serious Were situation she gets herself caught up in, and the cluviel dor. The item so many desire, but Sookie's determined to keep safe.
She knows it holds great power, and is strong enough to attract the Fae her way... So how will she use it? And what is her true heart's desire? Will using the cluviel dor make her realise what/who is really important to her? I loved how it all worked out.
Deadlocked is the second last book in Sookie's series, and I absolutely loved every minute of it! It's once again filled with unseen danger, multiple threats, a complicated love life that seems to get more entangled with every book, good and lasting friendships, as well as one of the deepest betrayals she's faced. I felt so bad for her, but have to admit that I loved the way the book ended.
Now, I can't wait to read the last book. Of course, it'll also be very sad when I finish it. This series is one of my favourites!...more

Secret is a TThis series has officially been added to my fave UF series list. I really like Secret, her world, and the complications of her love life.
Secret is a Tribunal Leader now, so she no longer goes out hunting rogue vampires on her own. She's got a new set of responsibilities to deal with on her vampire side, as well as on her werewolf side. No wonder her destiny is split.
Also, if Lucas is going to prove that he's a worthy king, he has to show strength and that includes a union with Secret. Which doesn't sound so bad considering she really cares about him. The problem is she's in love with somebody else.
As if that's not enough to occupy her time and attention, her ex calls her out of the blue because he needs her help. And when she agrees to help Holden find a missing girl for the queen of the were-ocelots, Secret has no idea that both of these problems lead to the same creep...
Yeah, this series just gets better and better. It's complicated, violent, well written, and has totally hooked me in. There's plenty of action too. And Desmond. And Holden. ;) There's a bit of everything for everyone. I just love how this world gets bigger and bigger.
I really enjoyed Tantalize, so when I found out there was a graphic novel of the story through the eyes of Kieren, I borrowed it from the library.

Kieren is a young werewolf who will soon have to go and become a part of a pack. But he's in love with his best friend Quincie. When she starts acting strange and dead bodies start popping up all over the place, Kieren's determined to figure it all out. He's also determined to save Quincie, no matter what.
It was nice reading his side of the story and I really enjoyed how it all came together at the end. The story was great, but the art was good. I kinda wished that the whole book looked just as lovely as the cover, but it didn't. Still, the story and art complemented each other....more

After enjoying the first two, I was looking forward to reading this one.
At the end of my review for the second book, I remember saying that I couldn't 'wait to step into Chaz's world'. Well, that's exactly what Shiarra does in this book. She heads out for a weekend away with Chaz and his pack, the Sunstrikers. He wants her to meet them and see how she'll handle being around them.
It sounded like a good idea. In theory. And to be honest, things start out pretty well. She meets a lot of the werewolves, and they all seem to be quite nice and willing to get along with her. Chaz is there to lend his support and always assigns someone to keep her safe. They seem to be really clicking romantically too, and Shiarra's being contemplating signing a contract with him. To show him how much he means to her.
Then, confusing, threatening notes start appearing inside their cabin. Their things get stolen and torched. One of the female Weres suddenly turns on her. A young Were tries to use her as bait to beat Chaz. One bad thing after another starts to happen, and Shiarra is determined to help the pack figure it out. After all, she's a PI. But what she didn't expect was the biggest betrayal from Chaz himself...
I was so shocked when I read the scene with Chaz's betrayal. I wasn't expecting it, or the events that follow after she gets back to the city. And I have to say, I absolutely loved it! I love it when the story seems to be going somewhere and then takes a dark, unexpected turn. What started out as a romantic getaway so she could also get to know her boyfriend's pack and integrate into their lives, turns out to be a total nightmare. Because, not only does she now need to deal with a cheating ex, but the pack is determined to hunt her down. Oh, and one of them actually scratched her too. Which means she might end up turning into a werewolf herself.
I felt so bad for Shiarra. She loses so much in this book. :(
OMG. I love the direction this series has taken, and really can't wait until the next book!...more
I'm really enjoying this series, and because this novella is set during the festive season, I wanted to read it before the new year ticked over. ;) AnI'm really enjoying this series, and because this novella is set during the festive season, I wanted to read it before the new year ticked over. ;) And I wasn't disappointed.
Secret's getting ready to enjoy her first Christmas with a new host of friends... but while she's trying to figure out what presents to buy, there's an insane killer loose in New York. And when the killer starts leaving dismembered limbs inside newspaper and police offices, her detective friend, Mercedes, calls her in for some help.
Tracking this killer isn't going to be easy, but Secret's determined to put a stop to it. And as much as she tries to figure it all out, it's not until the killer strikes really close to home that she's finally able to figure things out--with a little help from her friends.
I loved this story! Not only because it fit so well into the rest of the series and intensified her relationship with Desmond, but also because she finally had to face some of the feelings she now has for Holden. Poor Secret, I don't think she's ever going to be able to settle on the one guy. ;)
After the Tribunal gave Secret her latest assignment, she took off. How can she kill Holden without knowing what he's accused of? So, she's gone to spend a bit of time with her grandmother. But when she's forcibly taken back to New York, Secret has no choice but to face everyone and everything she ran away from.
Now, she's determined to clear Holden's name. Which includes finding out why the Tribunal wants him dead. But this will lead her to an unexpected discovery, as well as some truly horrible creatures hiding out in an abandoned amusement park.
Oh, and let's not forget her very complicated love life--she's got two werewolf boyfriends, and a pesky vampire that seems to be consuming her fantasies lately.
This was another very exciting, action-packed installment and I can't wait to read more... especially after the unexpected ending. Lucky for me, I have the next novella already waiting for me on my Kindle! ;)...more
