This series is the biggest surprise of the year for me. Sure, when I signed up for the blog tour I expected it to be entertaining, but this was amazing, a true adventure full of humor, emotions, action and secrets.
In the first book Robin, or Rubina since that is her real name, found out her entire life was a lie. When her father ended up in the hospital, she found out that they are in massive debt so she breaks him out and goes to the one place she knows of where they could be safe and there will be no questions asked. In Turtle Shores she finds herself, she falls in love and bonds with people who become her extended family. She begins a criminal career with Creek to care for all those people. She also finds out her mother is alive along with a heart-shaped ruby wich she thinks is just a stone, expensive but ordinary. She and Creek, the boy she loves, decide at the end of the first book to go to Venice and find Robin s mother so she can finally have closure.
Stone of Thieves finds them on a plane to Italy where Robin begins to understand that the ruby is not an ordinary stone, it has some sort of powers. From there the story turns into a big adventure for her and Creek, wandering the streets of Venice, hiding from someone trying to kill them all while searching for Robin s mother.
It is unusual for me to like this type of stories so that was why I was so surprised I loved this one. Robin is hilarious, she does whatever it takes to help others, she loves Creek with all her heart and she is hilarious. Creek is this misterious guy with a dark past, yet a caring heart and a smart head on his shoulders. Him and Robin are a great couple, they both mellow each other and there is strong chemistry between them. Some of my favorite moments between them are when they are just lying down and looking at the stars.
The writing is beautiful, simple yet captivating and the world bulding is well done. I love the gipsy world and I hope it gets more explored in the next book. This book is full of amazing and interesting characters, it is a real adventure story for all generations and I srongly recommend it....more

“Grabbing a scarf off the chair, I threw it at him. He caught it, clutching it to his chest as he flew into the air. "You gave Tink a scarf. Tink is free!" He flew out into the hallway like a little cracked-out fairy, screeching, "Tink is freeeeee!" Ren looked at me. "What the actual f**k?" I sighed. "He's obsessed with Harry Potter. I'm sorry." Tink darted back into the room, holding the scarf to his bare chest. "There is no reason to apologize when it comes to Harry Potter." "You do remember what happened to Dobby, right?" I said. "S**t." Tink's eyes widened and he dropped the scarf.”
As always, JLA managed to light up my day while reading this. She always makes me laugh, her male characters are generally pretty swoony, there are plenty of action scenes with MC kicking ass and since this is a NA book, it gets pretty steamy. The main character in Wicked is Ivy, a college girl who is a part of the Order, tasked to protect humans from fae, killing any they encounter to stop them from feeding on people. Ren, the love interest, is also a part of the Order, who is keeping some secrets and who helps Ivy with the fae. They are both attracted to each other, Ren is continously flirting with her while Ivy is trying to fight it. Also, it becomes apparent that there is a traitor in the Order and they are trying to find out who.
While I loved both Ivy and Ren, my favorite character is definitely Tink, a tiny brownie who Ivy found injured and just couldnt bear to kill so he lives with her and he is her friend. He is also hilarious, a big Harry Potter fan, who we see knows more than anyone else. He reminded me a bit of Jenks from my favorite series The Hollows, a tiny kick-ass dude with a potty mouth. The premise with The Ancients was interesting, I hope we see more of the Prince in the sequel, he is intriguing. The betrayal that comes has been expected on my part and that is why this book gets 4 stars from me. I just wasnt surprised. And the cliffhanger threw me, it made me anxious and now Torn is on my list of most anticipated reads of 2015. What I have to say is thank you to Jennifer L. Armentrout for writing because her book always made me smile no matter what.

I adore this series. It is so unique and scary and full of fascinating things. I was so happy when I won an ARC and I started reading it immediately. I was happy how things ended at the end of the 3rd book, well maybe not how they ended for Ty, but I think Asher is the perfect choice for Edie, even though he can be an idiot sometimes, it is clear that he loves her. Deadshifted ends on a cliffhanger, a pretty brutal one and Bloodshifted cant come soon enough. Deadshifted is very much different from the first 3 books in the series. This one is centered on Edie and Asher, their relationship and Ashers past while battling a monstrous sickness that takes almost every life. There was plenty of action, mistery, interesting new characters, arrival of old ones, and a few surprises. I adore Urban fantasy and I think this series is one of the best ones out there. I was very scared and pissed when Deadshifted ended so Bloodshifted better have some answers....more
When I first picked up Enclave, the fisrt book in the trilogy, I wasnt prepared for it. I read a few reviews but I didnt know I would love it so much. So, with a heavy heart, it is time to say goodvye to yet another favorite series of mine and the characters who will always be with me. Horde starts where Outpost ended, with our favorite group ( Deuce, Fade, Stalker and Tegan) going for help to another settlement since the horde is upon Salvation. In Soldiers pond they receive reinforcements, although not enough and when they return to Salvation, it is in ruins. That is when the real story of Horde begins, with Deuce and the others traveling from setttlement to settlement in search of people who will join their army and to try and defeat the horde. Amidst all of that there is Fade recovering from his "stay" with Freaks, Deuce missing him and trying to help him along with dealing with suddenly being in charge, Stalker who is trying to get over Deuce so they could be friends and always reflecting on how he and his gang have treated Tegan and his guilt. Then there is Tegan, always working, trying to imrove and not be a burden, helping others and tending to the wounded and always thirsting for knowledge.
“But wishes were empty thoughts, cast down a dark hole. They didn't come true unless you worked for them. I'd learned that about the world, if nothing more.”
Horde is dark, full of blood and gore, all out war, we see some dear faces die, yet there is hope in the shape of younger group of Freaks, who shocked me and certainly shocked Deuce when they spoke and didnt attack. I cried a lot while reading, one death hit me hard, yet at the end I was very happy for the rest. We see Stone and Thimble again, we see there is a way to leave in peace, we see love can really overcome the greatest obstacles and that kindness always matters, no matter how small the gesture. A perfect end for an amazing series. I applaud you, Ann Aguirre :)

After a longish wait for the 5th book in the Charley Davidson series, the day has finally come. I was fortunate enough to receive an eARC to review for this blog tour, and when I saw the invite for NetGalley I screamed. That was one of the happiest days I had in a long time. This series is a favorite of mine and I savor every page. It was no surprise to me that Fifth grave past the light is the best book in this series, and I assure you they are all amazing so it was not a small thing to write an even more fantastic book. Charlie is even more funnier, but she also gets more serious. We learn more about her abilities, we see how she deals with her new neighbour *wink* and we finally find out what happened to Garett when he was in hell. We also see a little bit more of Gemma and Quentin, who we met in the last book and who is still adorable. Then there is the famous son of Satan, Reyes. He is as hot as always, more tender and more fortcoming, and I was super happy to see the relationship between him and Charley bloom and become more serious. In this book Charley is investigating a serial killer since a bunch of terrified dead women show up in her apartment and her proces was interesting and hilarious as always. Then there was another near death incident which really made me sad for her. And, last but not least, Cookie is still the most amazing friend and a best supporting character I ever read about and her interactions with Charley are the funniest sentences I ever read. In the end, all I have to say is that Darynda Jones did and amazing job yet again and shown us that she is an fantastic author whose books will always be at the top of my list. And people, watch out for the last sentence in the book. I nearly had a stroke *wink*....more

This is one of the few dystopian novels I´ve read, and like Divergent and Delirium, it blew me away. The story is very original and interesting and it sucks you right in. I find the idea of Starters, Enders and body banks very refreshing, unique and I was into the whole story from the very first page. Callie, books main character, is a likable, smart and resorceful character and you cant help but support her every step of the way. The book is full of surprises, action and it has a little bit of romance. I really liked Callie´s younger brother Tyler for whom Callie goes to extreme measures to protect him, and her friend Michael, with whom I hope she will end up in the end. Blake, in the end, was not who I thought he was so I didn´t really get to know him but my gut tells me not to like him. Starters is an amazing book and a fantastic debut so if you like dystopia, you should read it. Seriously. It blew my mind. ...more

I won this book in a giveaway on the official Facebook Throne of glass page (hardback, signed) and I was so happy I began to dance all around my apartment. I have been reading about this book on Goodreads and on various blogs so I was really excited and curious because I has a feeling I wont be disappointed. And I was right. "Throne of glass" is one of the best books I ever read and the sequel cannot come fast enough. I think I may actually die from anticipation in the next year until it comes out. I need a new dose of Celaena and Chaol and Dorian and I need to know more about queen Elena and what is the king plotting. The story, which was inspired with Cinderella, is a wonderful and interesting blend on fantasy, romance and action. I kept turning page after page unable to stop even when my eyes were getting heavy. Celaena is a character that pulls you in with her story, her pain and defiance and bravery yet she is also caring and funny and inteligent. And she also loves to read which made me love her character even more. I loved both captain Chaol Westfall and prince Dorian but Chaol is more appealing to me. He is the strong, silent, ruggedly handsome, mysterious type and after getting to know him a little during the book, I honestly hope Celaena falls in love with him. Prince Dorian is the opposite of Chaol, even though they are best friends, he is more charming, more funny, obviously handsome and even though he is a good guy I dont think he and Celaena are right for each other. This book has magic, mystery, romance, intrigue, action, blood, friendship and it is simply put - AMAZING ! My new favorite of the year and I hope my review gets at least one more person to read this awesome book. You wont regret it, I can promise you that. And also I must compliment the writing style. Sarah J. Maas did a fantastic job....more
