I took this book just to kill my time before I fall asleep, and than it all happend...I got so hooked up that I literally devoured it! Last hundred pages I cried so badly that I feel ashamed by myself. There are just not enough words for how good this book really is. It´s kind of Alice in Wonderland meets Time Travelers Wife meets history. I´m so happy that Michele and Philip got their chanse for Happily Ever After, and I can´t wait for the next book! Man, it´s going to be a long year! Now, I´m going to bed and I´m going to dream my own Philip Walker......more

Night in the infirmary...
“All I’ve been doing is sleeping!” “And very amusing it is to watch,” said Jem. “Did you know you twitch your nose when you sleep, like a rabbit?” “I do not,” she said, with a whispered laugh. “You do,” he said. “Fortunately, I like rabbits."
My rating: MORE THAN 5!!!
I finally understand why everyone loves this woman. Cassandra Clare has outdone herself!
Clockwork Angel was amazing, but Clockwork Prince was INTOXICATING! I am torn between Jem and Will. I simply love them both so I am utterly heartbroken now. I hope that they both find happy endings, though that isn´t quite possible. I love Tessa Gray. Seriously. And I feel sorry for her. I never once thought Tessa was being selfish or silly. She has catapulted herself to status as one of my favourite YA heroines. All characters are so likable: kind Charlotte, mad and funny Henry, wise Sophie, Gideon Lightwood, and of course Magnus Bane who is awsome. I especially love Bridget, the insane cook and "singer of murderous ballads.
My favorite funny scene:" Demon Pox, Oh Demon Pox ..."
This book had me in tears. It had me laughing, and above all it put a smile on my face. This book stole my heart and soul. ♥
Favorite Quotations: "If no one cares for you at all, do you even really exist?"
"Where Will's kisses were all fire, Jem's were like pure air after a long time of being closed up in the airless dark."
"Lies and secrets, Tessa, they are like a cancer in the soul. They eat away what is good and leave only destruction behind."
"I loved you the first moment I saw you, or if it was the second or third or fourth. But I remember the first moment I looked at you walking toward me and realized that somehow the rest of the world seemed to vanish when I was with you. That you were the center of everything I did and felt and thought."
"We live and breathe words. It was books that kept me from taking my own life after I thought I could never love anyone, never be loved by anyone again. It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them."
"When two souls are as one, they stay together on the Wheel. I was born into this world to love you, and I will love you in the next life, and the one after that."
"Master Will has alwasy been the brighter burning star, the one to catch attention- but Jem is a steady flame, unwavering and honest. He could make you happy."
"He is very pretty,"said Woolsey. "For a human." "He´s very broken," said Magnus. "Like a lovely vase that someone has smashed. Only luck and skill can put it back together the way it was before."...more

It’s sort of adult dark tale with goth elements, paranormal romance and historical fiction. This book is cleverly constructed and has a few stories within a story, it's very well written - compelling characters, and intricately detailed. The brilliant Alma Katsu is definitely an author to watch out for in the future!
If you are looking for a fantastic, brutal, heartbreaking and magical story, read THE TAKER. I highly recommend this book to fans of Anne Rice. ...more

And, you know me, I love mind-fucks, so I absolutely adore this book!!! It reminded me a lot on American Horror Story Asylum TV-show so I simply devoured it. I was unable to stop thinking and questioning and wondering about every single thing that was going on in this book.
I'm now kicking myself for forgetting to read it sooner.

It´s unusual, interesting and something different. I really enjoy reading things that make me think, that entertain me because they're actually interesting, or that have a story line that is a page-turner. This book was simply beautiful: dangerous, mystical and poetic. Maybe there's something here that would interest you, too....more

Sometimes you´re speeding through it, missing the signs and by the time you reach the end of it you have thoughts, recollections, and moments where you realize you haven´t really lived.
And that´s the thing about life. It goes way too fast. At least mine did..."
I waited so long to read this book and I have to admit that it was worth every minute of waiting. When I saw the cover first time, I thought it would be just another romantic happy ending. Boy, I was wrong...
Imagine modern Romeo and Juliet. Imagine what would happen if Romeo and Juliet were set in 1950s in America. Than put Juliet in Psych ward and see what will happen...
I can´t summarize the amazing experience I have had while reading this book. This series is one of my all-time favorites!
This time I don´t won´t to write long review with many reasons why you should read this book/series. Please my friends, trust me on this one and just read it.
