WILL & TESSA "I assumed you were a prostitute due to your presence in what can only be termed a brothel."
Tessa stared at him.
"You can't expect me to believe you were entirely ignorant of the Darke House's function?" Will inquired. "You must have seen what was going on."
"I told you, I was never allowed out of that room."
"I didn't realize that meant no one else was ever allowed in," Will said.
"What—oh, ugh. Ugh. There's something horribly wrong with you, isn't there? It's like you can't stop saying awful things."
JEM & TESSA "I am more than anything else a Shadowhunter. I am a brother to the Nephilim of England more than I am a brother to any mundane of the land where I was born. And when Nephilim look at me, they see only a Shadowhunter. It is the mundanes who look at me and see something they do not understand—a boy who is not quite white and not quite foreign either."
"Just as I am not human, and not demon either," Tessa said softly.
His eyes softened. "You are human," he said. "Never think you are not. I have seen you with your brother; I know how you care for him. If you can feel hope, guilt, sorrow, love—then you are human."
Oh Jem...I adore him. He is so kind and sweet and brave and surprisingly sexy as heck. It is impossible not to love him.
Will & Jem = ♥
I LOVED THIS BOOK!
Victorian steampunk with magical literary nerds... it's like the author was in my head.
I fell in love with Shadowhunters Jem and Will immediately. Two polar opposites. " Then came Jem, and then Will, looking like two chess pieces from some odd game, both Jem´s silver hair and Will´s tangled black locks set off by the pallor of their clothes. White Knight and black Knight..."
At first we see the JEM is kind, cautious, sweet, smart and caring: "...Whatever you are physically, male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy-all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. Whatever the color, the shape, the design of the shade that conceals it, the flame inside the lamp remains the same. You are that flame. You just cannot help but adore and quite possibly love him.
WILL is dark, witty, moody, careless, arrogant hot bad boy. He is neglectful to everyone but Jem. Can I just say that Will is entirely swoon-worthy. "He had the most beautiful face she had ever seen. Tangled black hair and eyes like blue glass. Elegant cheekbones, a full mouth, a long, thick lashes. Even the curve of his throat was perfect. He looked like every fictional hero she´d ever conjured up in her head. Although she´d never imagined one of them cursing at her while shaking his bleeding hand in an accusing fashion." "(...)The face of bad angel and eyes like the night sky in hell."
TESSA, a shape-shifter, is a feisty, proud, intelligent young woman who immediately is taken by the beauty of both Jem and Will. Together all three of them must fight against The Magister, a man who has built a clockwork army against the Shadowhunters.
Clockwork Angel was a complete surprise. It´s so much better than The Mortal Instruments. (Thanks @Zemira again!) Can't wait for the next book!
"One must always be careful of books," said Tessa, "and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us."
"Well, she's not responding to my advances," he observed more brightly than he felt, "so she must be dead." "Or she's a woman of good taste and sense."
"There's plenty of sense in nonsense sometimes, if you wish to look for it."
"If no one in the entire world cared about you, did you really exist at all?"
"It's all right to love someone who doesn't love you back, as long as they're worth you loving them. As long as they deserve it."
"Let me give you a piece of advice. The handsome young fellow who's trying to rescue you from a hideous fate is never wrong. Not even if he says the sky is purple and made of hedgehogs."...more

It was the first time in the series the vampires take a back seat to the action, which at first did take a while to get used to. I was amazed with how many fans Sookie had in this book: 2 vampires (Bill and Eric) and 4 shapeshifters (Alcide-werewolf, Calvin-werepanther, Sam-weredog and Quinn-weretiger! There are so many unanswered questions: Leanansidhe, Charles, Ironhorse´s loyality...and it bothers me so much that I must start reading next book right now.

This is a story of war and surviving. I realize many out there will hate the epilogue. At first, I did too. It made me cry badly. But in retrospect, it really was perfect. Katniss gave her life already - back when she volunteered for Prim in "The Hunger Games". It's just that she actually physically kept living. To expect that all of the main characters could live "Happily Ever After" after surviving what happened in all three books is unrealistic. I love the end just the way it is, and Peeta... *sigh* they were meant to be together. Period. All I can say is that this series will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I shed so many tears that even my postman asked me if I´m all right. Now I have major problem. I feel so empty inside and though I´m restless. How can I move on now? Surely there must be some cure or support groups for those who have a same problem? I need a new shelf for this book. It would be called PURE PERFECTION.
I´m not a woman of many words but this book was painfully beautiful. It was magnificent! Purely amazing! Heartbreaking and romantic! I am absolutely in love with the characters that Cassandra Clare has created. The lives of Tessa, Jem, and Will are bonded forever and they are unforgettable. My friends know that I am masochist reader and that I´m not a sucker for happily ever after. But this was, by far, the best ending to a trilogy I have ever read. This ending is bittersweet. It lies not in traditional relationship, yet in acceptance of a different kind of happiness, in bearing what is unbearable. It lies in sacrifice which is the ultimate love. Cassandra Clare captured how incredibly complicated and unique love is as an emotion, and in my opinion, she deserves standing ovation.
So, hail and farewell my favorite characters and brothers in arms. I´ll never forget you!
My soundtrack for this book:
These mist covered mountains Are a home now for me But my home is the lowlands And always will be Some day you'll return to me Your valleys and your farms And you'll no longer burn To be brothers in arms
Through these fields of destruction Baptisms of fire I've witnessed all your suffering As the battle raged higher And though they did hurt me so bad In the fear and alarm You did not desert me My brothers in arms
There's so many different worlds So many different suns And we have just one world But we live in different ones
Now the sun's gone to hell And the moon's riding high Let me bid you farewell Every man has to die But it's written in the starlight And every line on your palm We're fools to make war On our brothers in arms...

Ever since I read The Hunger Games trilogy I have been looking for another book that is similar. From a little help of my friends I found That book and it is Divergent.
Divergent is perhaps one of the most intense, heart stopping books I have ever read. The plot is very interesting: the setting is dystopian Chicago, and the society is divided into 5 factions: Abnegation (selfless), Dauntless (brave), Candor (honest), Erudite (knowledge) or Amity (peaceful). At the age of sixteen everyone must choose a faction and find their own way of life... Characters are just amazing: Beatrice is incredibly strong, and Four is the kind of "hero" I love to love.

This book is reason WHY I read! Brilliant. Extraordinary. Poetic. Haunting. Heartbreaking. Jandy Nelson, you are amazing! This story is truly in a league of its own.
I'm not going to give plot deets here, but know that Lennie broke my heart with her authentic and beautifully conveyed grief over the loss of her sister.
This story is about as close to perfection as you can get, so in my opinion, it's MUST READ!

I fell in love with this book! Soo much action, unexpected twists, romance and danger!
This was truly Seth's book! SETH... Oh God, Seth... I can't help but adore him. I really fell for Aiden in Half-Blood, and I still love him, but I think I am now "Team Seth" . It is hard to resist those hot bad boys. Seth is selfish, sarcastic, and moody narcissistic jerk, but when it comes to Alex, he's also caring, loyal, and protective. Seth was kind of a dickhead in Half Blood, but you get to see a whole different side of him in Pure. He is funny and he is very, very hot. Alex and Seth have a very entertaining love-hate relationship and the chemistry between them is huge. They are both funny, reckless, and hot-headed, though Aiden shows his temper a bit also. Seth cares for two people: himself and Alex. I love his macho, aggressive side, but I also love his vulnerable, loving side that he only shows to Alex. I want to slap him and kiss him in the same time.
AIDEN is your golden boy. He's strong, fierce, loyal, sweet and swoon-worthy. He's a genuine good guy. He's also a pure, which means he is forbidden to be with Alex, a half-blood. Aiden blows hot and cold and although he is tormented by his feelings for Alex, he only ends up hurting her more. I kinda got hurt when Aiden did that, but I guess it is for the best. I can only respect him more for his strong will. I may not like it, but I get it.
ALEX is absolutely a Kick Butt character! I like that she isn't perfect. She makes mistakes. She struggles with grief and their messed-up society. She feels guilty. She pushes the boundaries. She makes rash decisions. I love all of those things about her because they make her real. She is strong and yet vulnerable.
The scenes between Alex and Aiden were sweet, romantic and heartbreaking. The scenes between Alex and Seth were funny, tense, and smoking hot! I know that the predictable thing would be for Alex to end up with Aiden, but I want Seth to win. If he doesn´t win , I hope he will get his own story to tell.

"Have you ever wondered what a human life is worth? That morning, my brothers was worth a pocket watch."
ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS IVE EVER READ! Harsh, "Have you ever wondered what a human life is worth? That morning, my brother´s was worth a pocket watch."
ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I´VE EVER READ! Harsh, beautiful, sad, inspiring and utterly heart-breaking. This story really moved me. When someone mentions World War II, we usually just think of what the Nazis and Hitler did but we should remember that the Soviets were just as bad.
Everyone who read and liked Anne Frank´s Diary should pick this book up. Between Shades of Gray is powerful book and you will feel its emotional weight long after you turned the last page.
