Unexpected things are those that change our lifes, and if I had to choose one word to describe this book it would be UNEXPECTED.
Books that are out of the ordinary have their own special appeal and this book I consider the unusual, the bizarre, and the new.
Firstly I hated the main female character , pretentious Layana. She was so much like Olivia from The Opportunistor Amy in second part of book Gone Girl. She is rich and spoiled, rotten cheater and you tell me, what a female character is allowed to get away with behaviour that? Well, this girl can get away with this! Why? I don´t want to tell you because i want that you all read this book. She is a main female characters who exhibits great resilience and courage. And I loved it!
Brant? Brant Sharp is a self-made billionaire, a true genius, and major philanthropist that just also happens to be gorgeous. A classical too good to be true male character. And...he has a big dark secret. And there comes Lee, our tortured hero. And then we have one wicked aunt/bitch Jilian.
Secrets, cheating and love triangle. You think you heard it all. Boy you are so wrong!
Alexandra Torre is obviously an evil genius when it comes to dropping small hints that aren’t really hints and making you HOPE for things you shouldn’t hope for. She is an excellent author. My point is that Black Lies is a total masterpiece. You think you know, but you have no idea until you read it.
Black Lies gets FIVE deliciously deceptive stars from me! ...more

Archerly is first book/novella for the Summerhouse Series. The main protagonist is Amiira, independent young woman who must deal with the emotional fallout of an affair with a married senior at her consultancy firm. To deal with her high pressure job and relationship troubles, she takes up residence at a summerhouse nearby, as a home away from home, and there she meets her housemates. She has an immediate attraction to a cocky, intelligent and mysterious Kian and so the story goes...
I like deep and serious books with a message but sometimes I just can’t help but crave for light, sweet but passionate, kind of “fairytale-sh” romance read and this was just what I needed these rainy and sad days. It was a simple yet such an enjoyable read, so sweet, filled with romantic tension. I'm not that into romance novels but this had enough action in them to get me through it, and guess what? The characters were grown ups! YaY!
This is my first book (but not the last) by this author and I enjoyed it so much! I have just one objections: it´s too short and it leaves you craving for more. I would love to read whole Summerhouse series bundled into one book. This fun, flirty, summer love stories will fit just fine into your busy life or get you ready for the holiday spirit.

I'll admit, this falls outside my usual reading genre, but I decided to give Tangled a shot. And... it was worth of my time. It´s enjoyable and hilarious with raw guy's perspective. You really can't get much better than this, in this genre.
Tangled is written in Drew's (male) POV and while this is something new to me in my reading endeavors it was interesting to read. It was enlightening to see how the male mind works to say the least.
Would I recommend this book? Yes! This is a must read! I laughed, I cried, I got angry and then I laughed some more. If you are a fan of Wallbanger, you will love this book. If you’re looking for something light to read, this is your book. Tangled was a quick, fun read. It wasn’t complex or particularly deep, but it was extremely entertaining.

This is truly an EPIC love and war story with unique characters that are tragic, sad, scary, annoying but most of all lovable. Some parts had me crying and some had me mad. Even though Alexander´s and Tatiana´s story might be great, it´s few hundred pages too long for my taste.
ONE YEAR AFTER READING: Dear book, I can't get you out of my head for a year now. You deserve five-star treatment!...more
