This book really disappointed me. I couldn’t endure the dullness and lack of surprises. There are some likeble characters: witty and sarcastic Jace, cute Simon, Alec...And after so much sexual tension between Jace and Clary they found out that they are brother and sister: Yuck!!! The incest!!! My guess is that it will turn out at the end that Jace and Clary aren't siblings at all and because of that I will keep reading. I'm still hoping for an improvement but so far I'm not a big fan of the series...

Well, I´m one of the few exceptions which haven´t liked this book (This one was just a little bit better than City of Bones). There are some good parts: on the Seelie Court, Simons transformation into a vamire; and there are lame parts: final battle, inquisitor... There are parts where I laughed, parts where I almost teared up, and parts where I wanted to smack the author for being so damned cliche... I love witty and sarcastic Jace and I would love to meet him, but...HELLO JACE, NICE TO MEET YOU JACE, GOODBYE JACE... My guess is that it will turn out that Jace and Clary aren't siblings at all, and just because of that I will endure to read the next book...(less)

I really loved characters and their world: Alec and Magnus, Simon´s jokes, Sebastian´s creepiness, action was wonderful, but…there were still so many things that annoyed me. If you ignore the sappiness, the story is pretty interesting, but not all that memorable. Jace’s sarcastic comments are probably the only reasons why I’ll continue reading the sequels–but I’m in no hurry… (less)

WILL & TESSA "I assumed you were a prostitute due to your presence in what can only be termed a brothel."
Tessa stared at him.
"You can't expect me to believe you were entirely ignorant of the Darke House's function?" Will inquired. "You must have seen what was going on."
"I told you, I was never allowed out of that room."
"I didn't realize that meant no one else was ever allowed in," Will said.
"What—oh, ugh. Ugh. There's something horribly wrong with you, isn't there? It's like you can't stop saying awful things."
JEM & TESSA "I am more than anything else a Shadowhunter. I am a brother to the Nephilim of England more than I am a brother to any mundane of the land where I was born. And when Nephilim look at me, they see only a Shadowhunter. It is the mundanes who look at me and see something they do not understand—a boy who is not quite white and not quite foreign either."
"Just as I am not human, and not demon either," Tessa said softly.
His eyes softened. "You are human," he said. "Never think you are not. I have seen you with your brother; I know how you care for him. If you can feel hope, guilt, sorrow, love—then you are human."
Oh Jem...I adore him. He is so kind and sweet and brave and surprisingly sexy as heck. It is impossible not to love him.
Will & Jem = ♥
I LOVED THIS BOOK!
Victorian steampunk with magical literary nerds... it's like the author was in my head.
I fell in love with Shadowhunters Jem and Will immediately. Two polar opposites. " Then came Jem, and then Will, looking like two chess pieces from some odd game, both Jem´s silver hair and Will´s tangled black locks set off by the pallor of their clothes. White Knight and black Knight..."
At first we see the JEM is kind, cautious, sweet, smart and caring: "...Whatever you are physically, male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy-all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. Whatever the color, the shape, the design of the shade that conceals it, the flame inside the lamp remains the same. You are that flame. You just cannot help but adore and quite possibly love him.
WILL is dark, witty, moody, careless, arrogant hot bad boy. He is neglectful to everyone but Jem. Can I just say that Will is entirely swoon-worthy. "He had the most beautiful face she had ever seen. Tangled black hair and eyes like blue glass. Elegant cheekbones, a full mouth, a long, thick lashes. Even the curve of his throat was perfect. He looked like every fictional hero she´d ever conjured up in her head. Although she´d never imagined one of them cursing at her while shaking his bleeding hand in an accusing fashion." "(...)The face of bad angel and eyes like the night sky in hell."
TESSA, a shape-shifter, is a feisty, proud, intelligent young woman who immediately is taken by the beauty of both Jem and Will. Together all three of them must fight against The Magister, a man who has built a clockwork army against the Shadowhunters.
Clockwork Angel was a complete surprise. It´s so much better than The Mortal Instruments. (Thanks @Zemira again!) Can't wait for the next book!
"One must always be careful of books," said Tessa, "and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us."
"Well, she's not responding to my advances," he observed more brightly than he felt, "so she must be dead." "Or she's a woman of good taste and sense."
"There's plenty of sense in nonsense sometimes, if you wish to look for it."
"If no one in the entire world cared about you, did you really exist at all?"
"It's all right to love someone who doesn't love you back, as long as they're worth you loving them. As long as they deserve it."
"Let me give you a piece of advice. The handsome young fellow who's trying to rescue you from a hideous fate is never wrong. Not even if he says the sky is purple and made of hedgehogs."(less)

Bree really got better as a second book author and it was much more enjoyable ride! I love Grace´s transformation from a dansel in distress to a Super Women, and I was so mad at Daniel (go go Talbot!!!) until I really realized what was going on. The ending was oh so unexpected! So cruel, but so brilliant! It left me speachless! Now I'm craving for more...

This book sucks terribly. Fallen and Torment were both really good books and I found the series got a little boring, predictable and disappointing.
Everything in this book got so confusing: 1. It has no plot at all! 2. Time traveling was literally so confusing. 3. Luce is dumbass: what on earth is she searching for? 4. How does Daniel keep changing his appearance in almost each past life? He´s immortal after all. He doesn´t die! 5. Why do all the other fallen angels always hang around Daniel and Luce in each life? 6. All the characters are doing nothing except wandering from one era to other. 7. My biggest disappointment (both with this book and the last) was the lack of Cam.
Passion was 420 pages of torture . I don't know anything more about Luce and Daniel than I did in the last book. (less)

This book was simply fantastic. Beyond fantastic really, it was utterly amazing. And Patch is officialy my favourite angel. He is my angelic Adrian Ivashkov. I wouldn´t mind if he visits me in my dream...
There´s only one thing I know for certain anymore. That I would do anything for you, even if it means going against my instincts or my very nature. I would lay down everything I possess, even my soul, for you. If that isn´t love, it´s the best I have.(less)

Night in the infirmary...
“All I’ve been doing is sleeping!” “And very amusing it is to watch,” said Jem. “Did you know you twitch your nose when you sleep, like a rabbit?” “I do not,” she said, with a whispered laugh. “You do,” he said. “Fortunately, I like rabbits."
My rating: MORE THAN 5!!!
I finally understand why everyone loves this woman. Cassandra Clare has outdone herself!
Clockwork Angel was amazing, but Clockwork Prince was INTOXICATING! I am torn between Jem and Will. I simply love them both so I am utterly heartbroken now. I hope that they both find happy endings, though that isn´t quite possible. I love Tessa Gray. Seriously. And I feel sorry for her. I never once thought Tessa was being selfish or silly. She has catapulted herself to status as one of my favourite YA heroines. All characters are so likable: kind Charlotte, mad and funny Henry, wise Sophie, Gideon Lightwood, and of course Magnus Bane who is awsome. I especially love Bridget, the insane cook and "singer of murderous ballads.
My favorite funny scene:" Demon Pox, Oh Demon Pox ..."
This book had me in tears. It had me laughing, and above all it put a smile on my face. This book stole my heart and soul. ♥
Favorite Quotations: "If no one cares for you at all, do you even really exist?"
"Where Will's kisses were all fire, Jem's were like pure air after a long time of being closed up in the airless dark."
"Lies and secrets, Tessa, they are like a cancer in the soul. They eat away what is good and leave only destruction behind."
"I loved you the first moment I saw you, or if it was the second or third or fourth. But I remember the first moment I looked at you walking toward me and realized that somehow the rest of the world seemed to vanish when I was with you. That you were the center of everything I did and felt and thought."
"We live and breathe words. It was books that kept me from taking my own life after I thought I could never love anyone, never be loved by anyone again. It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them."
"When two souls are as one, they stay together on the Wheel. I was born into this world to love you, and I will love you in the next life, and the one after that."
"Master Will has alwasy been the brighter burning star, the one to catch attention- but Jem is a steady flame, unwavering and honest. He could make you happy."
"He is very pretty,"said Woolsey. "For a human." "He´s very broken," said Magnus. "Like a lovely vase that someone has smashed. Only luck and skill can put it back together the way it was before."(less)

I shed so many tears that even my postman asked me if I´m all right. Now I have major problem. I feel so empty inside and though I´m restless. How can I move on now? Surely there must be some cure or support groups for those who have a same problem? I need a new shelf for this book. It would be called PURE PERFECTION.
I´m not a woman of many words but this book was painfully beautiful. It was magnificent! Purely amazing! Heartbreaking and romantic! I am absolutely in love with the characters that Cassandra Clare has created. The lives of Tessa, Jem, and Will are bonded forever and they are unforgettable. My friends know that I am masochist reader and that I´m not a sucker for happily ever after. But this was, by far, the best ending to a trilogy I have ever read. This ending is bittersweet. It lies not in traditional relationship, yet in acceptance of a different kind of happiness, in bearing what is unbearable. It lies in sacrifice which is the ultimate love. Cassandra Clare captured how incredibly complicated and unique love is as an emotion, and in my opinion, she deserves standing ovation.
So, hail and farewell my favorite characters and brothers in arms. I´ll never forget you!
My soundtrack for this book:
These mist covered mountains Are a home now for me But my home is the lowlands And always will be Some day you'll return to me Your valleys and your farms And you'll no longer burn To be brothers in arms
Through these fields of destruction Baptisms of fire I've witnessed all your suffering As the battle raged higher And though they did hurt me so bad In the fear and alarm You did not desert me My brothers in arms
There's so many different worlds So many different suns And we have just one world But we live in different ones
Now the sun's gone to hell And the moon's riding high Let me bid you farewell Every man has to die But it's written in the starlight And every line on your palm We're fools to make war On our brothers in arms...

BUT... this messed up book was totally unnecessary and predictable. I hated Nora and her superwomen-powers. Everyone could see it coming that this new guy, Dante, would be a new bad guy at the end and Nora would save the world from all the evil and live happily ever after. So, don´t take me wrong, but I don´t like this book. I'm quite disappointed, and this is shame because it was my favorite angel-series. (less)

This book pulled me in this mad reading frenzy! Angelfall is one novel that had me jumping out of my seat, biting my nails, cheering Penryn on one minute, and wanting to cry with her the next. Then I really got scared, and right after that I grinned like a mad person. When I closed the book after finishing it, I was struck by the desire to start over from the beginning because I didn't want the experience to stop. It was THAT good!
