I enjoy a good Gothic tale and this was written very well. It was chilling and haunting, and gave full description so that the story and house were very easily pictured. It was sad and moved steadily with no lulls to the story and no boring portions. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good gothic ghost story.
I watched the movie when it first came out but remembered ZERO about the movie so I had no spoilers. I think I'll re-watch it again now for contrast. ...more

Very random little story about Bast. It was nice to see his daily routine, or his day out. Nice to get a little insight into his, very mysterious, character. I have only read the first of the Kingkiller Chronicles so far but as of book 1, Bast is not given too much character development yet. So this story felt like it allowed me to peer into what sort of being he is. The mysteriousness remains, but I got to see his personality somewhat which was fun. He seems and acts very young though probably quite old in actuality... he is not human so that portion was not really explained but I am sure more of that comes in the actual books.
Worth the read, for sure, if you like the series. ♥...more

Of course, I read it cover to cover to be sure that I knew if any laws had changed since I am required to take the written test upon renewing my license this year. Also because reading it at least once more than doubles your chance of guessing correctly when taking the test. I have found this to be true, as I took practice test before and didn't do so well. The same practice tests were much easier after the full reading.
I did find out one interesting tidbit: The 10 & 2 hand positions on the steering wheel are no longer considered the ideal. Now they are stating that you should use either the 9 and 3, or the 8 and 4. Odd...
In case anyone is wondering... I live in Kern County and I am 35 this year with very little total DMV points. So, I have no idea why I am required to retake the written for my renewal this year. Others I have asked weren't required to do the same....more

ItI can't believe we've been given the amazing oppertunity to see how our favorite characters turned out. To see them amidts another great adventure. It feels like all the revivals that Netflix has been giving us with X-Files, and with Fuller House, etc. But with Harry Potter, its just a dream come true. Yes it is in play format... which at first annoyed me. I really wanted more - a new book, a new series... but the script format melts into the background pretty fast when you are reading about such loved characters. To see them go through so much, so many years later, was an amazing gift.
I love the way that the group grew up!! Hermoine the Minister of Magic is just perfect. Of course she is. Harry is the head of magical defense, and Ron is running the Weasley magic shop with his brother. We don't see much of their children overall, but we do see Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy= the stars of this story.
I loved that they used time turners. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was one of the funnest books to read because of all the time stuff. And this one goes so much farther in that. The time-plot allows us to see characters who were gone. We got to see Snape again, and he got to know that he is considered a hero, and that Harry even named his son after him. He is touched, and I cried of course. And to have the whole plot turned on its head when Longbottom is killed because he killed Nagini which enabled Voldimort's death! was amazing. He was a really underappreciated character who really saved the day at the end. I love that Draco had such a large role as well. Nice to see him being a part of the group. (hide spoiler)] There is just so much!!
I loved this. I am glad to have gotten to read it. Yes I wish it was longer, and in book format, and I wish it had been dragged on for 7 books as a new "Albus Potter" series... but since we didn't get that, this was still just amazing. All other Harry Potter fans should agree. ♥
